The Halim Abhimanyu Cultural Foundation Library.
The heat did not dampen the interest of students and students to visit the building in the area of Halim Abhimanyu University. The most prestigious private university in the city. In front of the locker key lending counter, the queue had snaked even almost to the front of the main entrance.
My name is Intan Kuara, I am 20 years old with a height of 175 cm. The pure white face I got from my father who was an artist managed to accentuate me. I was one of the History Science students at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at this campus. My college days are only in the middle of the first semester.
At this time, I was busy studying the world of college. Strive to complete the task well in return for my values that are always perfect.
Today the weather was as hot as usual. Short hair on my back I let it staggered which turned out to add to the sultry atmosphere. My sweat was almost pouring down my clothes. I flick through the library membership card hoping to reduce its stinginess. But it turned out to be free.
I immediately advanced when the person in front of me was done. After receiving the locker key, I immediately went to the storage room on the left side of the reception desk. Put my stuff in there, except for the laptop.
The cool air began to be felt as I entered the second floor. The room with a glass wall that surrounds it there is air conditioning in it. And finally I was able to force my sweat to re-enter my body.
The atmosphere of the room was quiet. No one speaks out loud for fear of disturbing other visitors. I then stepped closer to a computer near the entrance. There I looked for the books I needed and then recorded the numbers on the paper.
After getting everything I needed, I immediately went to one of the empty desks to put down my laptop. Then I walked to the row of bookshelves that were near the wall. I started looking for the books by researching the book numbers carefully.
I smiled when I saw one of the books I was looking for on the top shelf. I was about to grab it when suddenly a long hand preceded me.
“Oh? That's mine.” I turned to the man standing next to me holding the book. The man wearing the grey hoodie sweater just glared at me. It pissed me off half to death.
“But I took it first. So this is mine.” Answer the man indifferently.
And I can't defend myself. The man took it first. I lost quickly to him.
“Can't you give up? I really need that book.” My love later. I really need the book to complete the Cultural Course summary task.
“Why should I give up? I need this book too. You can find another book.” Answer the man casually.
“But the book no longer exists. Only one left.”
“Then, you can wait another two days until I return this book.” The man didn't seem to care about my confused look. He just turned around and walked away.
Of course I swiftly followed the man and stopped in front of him. “Can't you lend it to me for a minute? I have to collect my duties tomorrow. I can't wait for you until the day after tomorrow. Please lend me the book for a moment. One hour, no, thirty minutes. Lend me the book for thirty minutes. After that, you can take her home.”
The man seemed to think for a moment. It turned out that he felt a little pity as well with a pleading gaze from me.
“OK. Twenty minutes.” I answered quickly and picked up the book and ran to the table where my laptop was.
And it turned out that the man also followed me and then sat down in the chair in front of me. I try not to care about it and keep focused on doing my job.
I felt like I was chasing time, so I didn't care about the man sitting in front of me at all. I felt that the man was looking at me seriously. I dare not turn my eyes to her.
Tuk, tuk, tuk..
“Hey, excuse me... Hello?” The man's voice surprised me. I started looking at him and our eyes met.
The man is seen tapping his watch with his index finger. “It has been twenty minutes, past thirteen seconds” the man again reminded.
“What? Did ya? Why so fast? I'm not done yet. Can you wait a minute? Just a little more.” I went back to begging. I hope he will re-approve it.
But it turns out that guy didn't make my request. He got up from his seat and immediately grabbed the book from beside me then left just like that.
And I could just sit languidly in my chair staring blankly at the unfinished sentence I typed on the laptop.
How can I complete that task now?
I was disappointed and desperate. Then I drowned my face on the table with a feeling of frustration. Confused to think about how I would proceed with the task.
Buk up!
The sound of something dropping on the table made me wake up. I found the book that became the seizure is now perched on the table in its original place. And the man sat back in his chair again.
“Quick finish. I don't have much time.” Said the man by continuing to keep his two hands in his hoodie pocket and leaning on the back of the chair. Staring arrogantly at me who instantly returned to doing my duty.
When my eyes ached from too long glaring in front of the laptop, I looked at the man who was closing his eyes. At first glance, handsome too. The firm jawline makes it look masculine.
Not wanting to waste any more time, I immediately dismissed the strange thoughts and focused on my task. With an occasional glance at the man who seemed to be completely sound asleep.
An hour later, I finished my job well. I read it back to find fault. And I can only be satisfied with the results of my work this time.
“Excuse me. Hey.” I tried to wake him up. But he was not struggling, it seemed like he was really in a deep sleep.
“I'm done.” I said again. But still not getting a response.
Ah, I felt like I wanted to just leave that man there, but my little heart rejected my plan. I felt bad because he helped me and waited for me to finish my job.
With courage, I finally stood up and walked up to him. I intend to wake the man by moving his shoulders.
Sap!
I was surprised not to play when my wrist was caught by the man even before I could touch him. My heart almost jumped out.
“I'm up.” He then let go of my hand.
