I was still shocked, trying to control my facial expression as much as possible. Then walk back to my chair.
“Thank you for lending me that book.” My word.
“Love story Ramayana and Sinta.” The man read the title of the book. “What does their love story have to do with college?”
“Not her love story, but their culture and journey. They are history. Many lessons can be taken from the book.” Clearly then. Now I've finished packing my laptop and tidying up my books.
“Then you must know about Ravana?” Ask. Turns out he pulled it off with his book.
“Of course. Who doesn't know about his story? She falls in love with Sinta who is the reincarnation of the woman she loves. Yes, I have to go. Thanks again for the help.” I said immediately. I want to end that awkward togetherness as soon as possible. Then I immediately left him. Before, I had thrust the book before him first.
Two days have passed since my meeting with the man I even forgot to ask for his name.
Today, as usual, I went back to the library to read a book on the sidelines of my time waiting for the next lesson. Because I was lazy to go home which is actually not too far from my campus.
“Hai. Meet again.” A voice surprised me as I was sitting at one of the tables by the window. I looked at the man who greeted me. His face is familiar to me. But I can't remember it.
One of my weaknesses was that I had trouble memorizing the faces of people I had just met once or twice. But that firm jaw line, it reminds me of the library guy the day after tomorrow.
“Oh, hi.” Sapaku later. Now I remember it. A rare thing happened to me after meeting that man once. I don't even know his name.
“What's wrong?” Ask.
“Doing a task, again.” My answer. “Are you here to return the book?”
“How do you know?” He seemed surprised by my guess.
“Yesterday you told me. Did you forget?”
“Ah, so? I don't remember.” His word.
That innocent answer made me chuckle a little. He sat in front of me like yesterday.
“Did you get good grades for your assignment yesterday?” Ask.
This time, the man's attitude felt warmer than before. If yesterday he seemed arrogant, but this time, he was very friendly by greeting me first.
“Hem. Thanks.” Answer me while nodding.
“But by the way, what's your name?” Ask the man in the end. He seems a little interested in me.
“Votes, Intan Kuara.” I answered while extending my hand. I just remembered that we didn't know each other's names.
“Awan.” He answered while welcoming my hand on the table.
“Awan?” Did I hear wrong? “Awann...” I pointed towards the sky. Because when he mentioned the word ‘Awan’, it was the clouds in the sky that first crossed my head.
The clouds just chuckled at my expression that was like I didn't believe it. Yes, I don't believe it.
“Ya, you could say so.”
“Your name is not common.” Mouthed
“Kan?” The clouds are proud of it.
“So, Clouds, do you enjoy the story of Ramayana and Sinta?” Asking back. I wonder how he caught the book he read.
“Not really. I'm more interested in Ravana.”
“Didn't her love story sound tragic? He is a faithful man who loves only one woman. And he falls back in love with the same woman when she is reincarnated as Sinta. His love was consistent, but why did he have to die for it? I'm not at all finished thinking.” Grunts the Cloud suddenly. Gaping me. It turns out his views and sympathies towards the figure of Ravana so deep.
“Hahahahaha.” I could only laugh when I saw the clouds that looked so bad.
“So, do you think Ravana should be able to live happily with Sinta? Then, then the soul mate Rama who dong?” I asked while holding back my laughter. This guy, it's funny.
“Rama can find other women right?” Bela Cloud. Obviously he was on Ravana's side.
“Rahwana can also find another woman and give her love to the other woman, if she wants. The problem is he doesn't want.” Reply origin.
The passionate feeling of arguing with the man was filling my chest. I feel challenged by his words. Not because you're defending one of the book's characters. But I feel the opinion of Awan is different from others and it gives me its own challenges.
And we debated it for over an hour. If my stomach doesn't feel hungry, maybe we'll continue until some time. The clouds felt the same way. He's hungry too.
Finally, it was the Clouds who first invited me to eat at the cafe opposite the library. And there, I was still curious about the continuation of our debate. And we arrived at the name discussion.
“But, I still can't believe your name.” I said in the end. I really doubt his name.
“My name is Ravana.” Obviously Clouds while sipping the iced tea that had just been delivered by the waiter.
“Uhuk. Uhuk.” I didn't drink my drink after hearing the answer. I was so surprised. I thought he wanted to joke with me again. “Rahwana?” Ask for certainty. First the Cloud, and now Ravana? Just be right.
“Why? Can't believe?” Ask the Clouds while still eating his food.
“You have a high sense of humor.” I don't trust the clouds at all.
“You really don't believe it?” He looked at me while cleaning his lips with a tissue.
“How can I believe? Your name is Clouds I've had a hard time believing. Now even added with Ravana? What is it because we are talking about Ravana? Don't joke so.”
“I'm not kidding.” And his face looked very serious when he said that. I hesitated at him.
The cloud took out his identification card. Previously he covered almost all of his identity except his first name and photo. He showed me the card until I could actually read his name clearly.
“R a h w a n a.” I spelled his name with half a mumble. “Really? Waaahhhh..” I feel ashamed of myself for thinking the Cloud lied about his name. And it turns out that's his real name.
Not what, I was amazed by his parents who dared to pin Ravana's name on him. It is not at all a common thing especially Ravana is famous for his antagonist.
“What do you believe now?” Cloud said while inserting his identification card into the wallet.
I can only nod while agape. “Iya. I trust. Hahahahaha.” I laughed so well.
Me and the Clouds are enjoying our meal. But suddenly Cloud thrust his phone right in front of me.
“What?” Ask wonder.
“Give me your mobile number.” Petanya.
“For what?”
“To discuss Ravana.” issue The clouds smiling.
“Rahwana?” Manya make sure. Does he mean he wants to talk about himself? Didn't he?
“Sinta's woman, not me. But if you want to talk about me, it'll be a pleasure. Hahahaha.”
I just noticed that there are dimples on both cheeks of Clouds. Makes it look even sweeter.
