“You're not hungry?” Ratih's voice came from behind us.
“Come to eat.” Take Mas Arif.
“Ayo.”
I followed the Clouds walking. We went into a simple stall and Awan ordered 4 servings of fried noodles for us with extra eggs.
“Try standing there.” Show Awan commanding me to write ‘Love Hill’. We finished our breakfast and prepared to go to Bromo.
“Why?”
“Quick.”
The clouds give me no reason. And I still obey him. I was standing in front of the sign. It turns out that Awan photographed me using his phone.
“Hei!” I didn't accept it because Awan didn't ask my permission first. I chased him for a moment.
The clouds just chuckled and then put the phone in his pants pocket.
It was a fun trip and I loved it. Moreover, Mas Arif rented a jeep for our trip. It's getting funnier.
The sand stretches as far as the eye can see. In front of us, Mount Batok looks more charming my eyes than Mount Bromo itself. The grooves along its side, it was extremely beautiful.
Riding the stairs that appear to be towering towards the crater of Bromo, making my knees soften in the middle of the journey.
“You want me to carry?” Bargain the Clouds while holding a smile. I sneered annoyed at him.
Even Mbak Ratih and Mas Arif have reached the top. It turns out that their energy is much more than mine.
“Why do they still have a lot of energy?” I muttered to see Ratih's mother waving to us.
“The name is also newlyweds. They have a lot of energy. Hahahaha.”
“So they're newlyweds?”
“Hem. Just two months married.”
“They're tiggal where?”
“Jakarta.”
I try to hold my body up. Stunned as the clouds extended their hands before me.
“Ayo.”
It seems that I really need his help right now. No place for prestige to receive Cloud's help. I immediately welcomed the helping hand and the Clouds helped me up the rest of the stairs.
“Wahhh.” I said unconsciously. The view of the crater that gives off a little smoke on some sides that looks terrible at once amazing.
We weren't there long. Because the sunburns are starting to heat up.
At 10 a.m., we all got out of the place and headed home. It was exhausting but also fun.
After returning from Bromo, I resumed my disturbed sleep. Even my mother did not dare to bother me.
At two o'clock in the afternoon I woke up to boisterous laughter from the living room. My eyes that still felt heavy I couldn't compromise on being open. Even when the sound of the door opened.
“Ara? Deck?” Call mom shake my shoulder slowly. I was awake, only my consciousness was still floating.
Hearing that, I opened my eyes. Forcing my consciousness to return.
I rubbed my eyes as I walked out of the room following my mother. I still yawn while scratching my head.
I was glued in the face I stood. Not daring to move in the slightest as the people in the compact guest stream looked at me. I slowly lowered my head to save my pride.
There, among the group of people sitting in the living room, was the figure of the Clouds standing while looking at me. He even smiled at me. I wish it was just a dream in my middle of the day.
Butno. I realized that this was all real when mom hit me on the shoulder.
“You're. Can you get out of this room? Not washing your face first.” Mom nodded while whispering. It seemed that he was also embarrassed by this very messy appearance of his daughter.
Mom immediately refused me to go back into the room.
“Not polite. Cook you out dressed like this. See this hair of yours?” Grunts the upset mother.
I stared at myself in the mirror and could only gape at how messy I looked. And the Clouds, I remembered with a grinning smile earlier. Oh, my God, shame on me.
“Why are they here, Mom?”
“They are Mahli core family. Husband Susan.”
“Why didn't Mom tell me earlier?”
“Mother forgot. Hehe. It's been. Quickly shower and change your clothes.” Urge the mother who then left me in the room.
After the shower, I didn't want to go out and join them. I'm still embarrassed after everyone saw my mess. But I don't have any other choice, do I?
Slowly, I opened the door and closed it slowly. I don't want anyone to be aware of my existence. I walked over with a little slouching then hid behind my mother's back. Glanced at the Clouds who were still smiling at me.
Mother also forgot to tell me that this afternoon, they had a dinner together and in the end delayed our return until Monday morning. And that means I have to skip another day.
As the dinner went on, the cloud sitting on the chair opposite me kept staring at me sitting next to my mother. We were all sitting around a long table set up in the back garden.
“So this is her daughter, Bu?” Asked a middle-aged woman who looked elegant.
“Iya, Ma'am. This is my son. Called Ara. He went to college in Halim. New semester start.” Obviously mother. I don't know why I should explain that to them.
I just nodded while smiling stiffly at the woman.
The rest, I just heard their talk. I dare not raise my head because I do not want to meet the Clouds. I'm still embarrassed because the clouds have to see my most chaotic situation.
From that conversation, I know a little that it turns out that Mas Mahli no longer has parents. And the middle-aged couple I saw accompanying Mas Mahli at the wedding yesterday was his guardian. And it turns out, it was Cloud's parents. I think they're Mas Mahli's parents. Complete is my shame.
I was so shocked to find that fact.
It was a fortune for me, neither my mother nor Bude had anything to say about my departure with the Clouds this morning. They were busy discussing Ma'am Susan and Mas Mahli.
I was looking for an excuse to leave the place after I finished eating. Trying to keep ourselves busy by helping the bude house assistants by bringing our food scraps. Things I never did and it took a lot of energy.
Just two times back and forth, my feet already felt sore. Until the large bowl of vegetables almost spilled because my feet accidentally stumbled on each other. Fortunately, someone caught the bowl and it didn't fall to the floor. While I held on to Cloud's arm until his shirt sagged a little.
“Oh, sorry.”
“Cautious.”
I want to ask for the bowl back. But Awan immediately handed it to the housekeeper who happened to pass near us.
