Newcastle General Hospital, Newcastle (Tyne and Wear), UK – 08.21 am.
"Where is your current position?"
"Newcastels. What do you want?"
"Damn, I need you right now. I was pulled out of Greece by Zach, this time James Armstrong's business colleague who was in trouble with a Russian mafia syndicate. They're holding one important man hostage."
" ... "
"Leon, you're still there. Shit, tell me something, Zach just almost shot me. I'll make sure this is my last omission, you're partly responsible for this. If you were leading, I'm sure it wouldn't be like this. We have 2x24 hours to release the hostages. I'm waiting for you."
I exhaled a rough breath, deservedly Zach went straight away when two hours ago we arrived in London.
"I can't, Dereck. You want Zach to be mad at me too? And Zach isn't giving me any instructions right now. He still trusts you to handle this. Come on, you're the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's thinking strategy, throw your lowly thoughts away. I'll try to monitor everything. Give me some target data and hostages. I'll come when Zach asks."
Long time no answer from Dereck. It seems like he is very depressed at the moment. Of course, in dealing with an emergency situation he was still very insecure.
You need to know, Zach security company is not only a private company that usually provides security services. But behind it all, the biggest corporate profits actually flow from world entrepreneurs and state leaders.
Closedly, Zach sometimes receives direct instruction from the State as a guarantor of the safety of some business entrepreneurs and officials. And only a few bodyguards that incidentally also doubles as agents. In reality this company is also moving in a dark world.
Dereck was one of the agents I recruited as my confidant. I recruited him while he was in military training. He has the skills to read situations with outstanding strategy solutions. But I didn't know my influence on Dereck was so great.
We always work together to overcome it all. We will only take to the field with the agents if the situation is very uncontrollable. And I'm sure he's going through that now.
I'm not saying Dereck's an expert in the field. Therefore, I was annoyed when Zach gave me such an annoying job and required me to give everything to Dereck.
"alright. You should know this is the first time I've come down without you. I don't know when we'll be face to face." I chuckled at Dereck's words.
"Come on, don't be like a kid. You're not a coward, I recruited the best agents to accompany you. You might not even be touched."
"Yeah, of course. You know Zach's mad because I didn't hurt the target properly. They're even still breathing when I shoot a lot of bullets into their bodies."
"Hahaha, should you go back to training?"
"*No, thank you. I'd rather be in my current position than have to repeat that time. Ah, we need to move immediately. We're on our way, it looks like a target for urban areas. I'm in London and I'll send you the coordinates if Zach needs you right now. I estimate they deliberately took hostages to urban areas to make it harder for us to move ...
... And I'm sure Zach didn't tell you that the FBI was on hand. I don't know why they're going after the target, and one of their frustrations is that many of their agents have fallen. Don't tell Zach, one of them is because I shot the wrong head*."
"Are you crazy?! Shit, you're making a big deal, Dereck. Wait when I—"
He turned off the phone. Damn, I've had problems with some intelligence agencies like them and it's been very troublesome. How could Dereck have misfired? My isolation doesn't get there. I can't do anything in a situation like this.
...***...
A few minutes later ...
Newcastle General Hospital – 10.17 pm.
I closed the door of the ward that was already full of people inside. I'm sure there'll be important talks in there. And that guy? His lover? Yeah, apparently.
I walked through the hallway and approached the bodyguard covered by Elisa's shoes. I don't know why I want those shoes? I put the shoes in the elevator. I think I should calm my mind. Elisha kept me from getting all the way.
When I got down to the floor and was intending to go back to smoking, my phone suddenly rang. Zach's? I immediately answered the call.
"Leon, add some agents in the hospital. You go to London according to the coordinates I sent and handle whatever Dereck is doing. I instructed them to stay in position and intend to send the agent back. I lost contact with Dereck 15 minutes ago."
"All right."
I immediately ran to the parking area to find my car. I threw Elisa's shoes on the passenger bench and immediately took this car to the street. It will take a little while to reach London at a high speed, anything else to get to a congested area.
And that's debunked.
I think I'm crazy, I can reach London in 30 minutes. How not, I just received a call from Dereck. He's shot. Shit, I won't forgive myself if something more horrible happens to him.
The place where it happened was in one of the big clubs in the suburbs of London. From outside the club it still looks normal, but we don't know what's going on in there. This kind of club is designed to keep the noise down and I've dealt with a few people in this club a lot.
I called one of the agents who was with Dereck, "Take me to Dereck. I'm in the back left corner of the club at two o'clock. I need a Barret M82 caliber 50 BMG."
"good. We'll pick you up from the opposite direction."
I stopped the connection when two agents I knew came out from the direction mentioned. I took off the coat and got out of the car I had hidden far enough away from the club. I ran up to the two men, one of whom had the weapon I wanted.
I entered the club which was frankly destroyed. The music? Yeah, this club is awesome. It sounded strange as we started the action with music constantly echoing mixed with gunfire and blood everywhere. Shit, my adrenaline's back up.
Some of my agents still survive sneaking in among FBI agents blindly fighting the sneaks. Before meeting Dereck, I'm going to test this long-barreled weapon that actually sounds crazy when used in close combat. After leaning the rifle bipod on the bar table, I immediately selected one target.
One shot to the head of one of the targets.
Bingo!
Am I overreacting to use this weapon? Just look, everyone looks even more panicked when they find out this terrible shot has appeared. Shit, disgusting his head is even shapeless.
No agent has yet used this weapon because it would be very difficult to withstand a blow when shooting, and I am grateful that my large body will be of great help.
After that, I immediately went to where Dereck was hiding. I saw Dereck being protected by two agents. He was sitting with his right stomach bleeding. He's quiet enough for someone who's been shot.
"Hey, Boy. You okay?"
"Stupid, do you have to ask. This is the first time in my life I've been shot in the stomach. You're so long, I don't know how many more agents we've got."
"I'll repay him. Tell me the guy."
"He's the Crazy Dog they have. You'll find him near the hostages. On the third floor."
"Alright, you have to deal with your stomach. Take half the agents that sneaked in between the FBI to protect you out. I'll handle the rest."
"You're crazy! Our agents aren't many anymore, take them with you. The rest went up to the third floor. I'll wait, I also have a small-scale explosive."
"No, Dereck. I still need you for our next mission. You taunting me?! I can handle it."
After everything was ready, Dereck and several agents came out to the back door where I entered. While I was getting ready with the two agents to go to the third floor. Gunfights are still going on, unfortunately FBI agents are getting more and more.
On the way to the third floor, I warmed up again with my gun. I chose a position on the second floor that could lead directly to the first floor that was so crowded with people. I chose the darkest corner and put the rifle bipod in the most appropriate corner.
I positioned myself to be comfortable making the shot on target. While the other two agents just told me to be quiet to pay attention. They were enough to look around to protect me.
Let's start the game!
One ...
Two ...
Three ...
Seven ...
Ten ...
Twenty ...
The game has been finished!
FBI agents were aware of the source of this shot. But they didn't try to shoot back. Of course, I saved their lives. No more gunshots on the first floor. Clear ...
The three of us immediately went up to the third floor which was actually not too closed because this room could be accessed from all directions, only surrounded by a bar table that was no longer available to residents. It seemed like the enemy was too confident that their enemy would not be able to reach this room. Upon entering the third floor, it turned out that three of my agents had already been killed.
I was trying to find a hidden position to observe the situation. Two other agents followed me. I put my barrel gun in the best position.
Shit, my pants pocket is shaking. There's an incoming call. Does Zach? I reached into my phone and threw it at the agent who was following me.
"This is a call from a priority number." The agent told me and I'm still focused on snooping from my gun.
"Remember that call."
"But this is the agent's priority call."
I stopped looking and turned to the agent who was holding my phone. Mobile agents are designed to receive calls from fellow agents who are priority even in silent mode.
I took my phone back to answer the call and continued to look up. "Say!"
"Where are you? I need you to get to Zach's palace." Is my hearing problematic? Elisha's Voice.
"Norris ..."
Damn, this is a bad time. I carried my gun away. I had the two agents stay in position with the right weapons pointing at the target. While I went out of the room and went to a more strategic place.
I climbed the stairs to the fourth floor with a gun and a cell phone in my ear. From the third floor earlier I saw the stairs leading to the fourth floor was much better to aim at the target. Moreover, only the fourth floor was far from the noise.
"Elisa, are you still there?"
"Dad?"
"I can't right now. I'll have one of my men take you there. I still have business, maybe it will be a little long, then—"
"I'll wait ... You let me walk without shoes. I'm still in this hospital, I'm just a little tired and I want my bed in Zach's palace. I hope you can finish your activities and your bitch quickly."
Only then will I explain if what he said is not true, but Elisha has already closed the call. I cursed when it happened.
I finally arrived at the dark side of the fourth-floor stairs. This position is quite far from the target, but it's the best place I can shoot that crazy dog in the head. I'm sure he's the one who beat up the hostage who shot Dereck.
Shit, it's about 30 minutes based on the time Dereck tells them to execute the hostages if they don't get the information they want. There were five claws and a mad dog. I don't know what they're asking, but obviously they can't get the answers they want.
I should have waited for the right time to aim because I couldn't go home empty-handed. The information they are currently releasing is very important. But Elisha filled my mind. My hands are itching to press the trigger.
"Where are you hiding it?!" One back punch was given to the stomach of the silent hostage.
"I heard you last left it at one of London's private banks?" The hostages remained silent and instead laughed loudly.
"Must we break into the whole bank? You know we only want what's already ours. That asset you shouldn't hide and look at now? You'll die just protecting our treasure. Let me tell you one thing, our next target is—"
Bingo!
I broke up the commotion by shooting right in the head of the mad dog. The rest could be completed by the agent who had been on the third floor earlier. I ran out of the club still carrying a long gun. I called the other agents to clear things up and secure the hostages.
I don't want to wait too long. I forgot what I should have done right when a situation like this happened. Too hasty.
Shit, Zach's gonna be mad at me. I should have been able to hold the trigger. My head was dizzy, as if the words of Elisha, 'I am waiting for you' kept ringing in my head. I'm crazy to keep thinking about it.
Like when I left, I was driving a crazy car on the street. I even forgot to hide the gun that was still lying in the back passenger seat. I just put on my coat to cover some of Dereck's blood.
When I arrived, I ran from the parking lot and called the agent who was with Elisa. He's at the hospital restaurant. I ran in a hurry to get to him. But what I found very annoying, he was with the man I had seen before in Mr. Armstrong's nursery.
I don't know why when I first met, I didn't like it. Even when he asked me to get acquainted, I only spoke as necessary. And that made me even more upset when Elisha told me to wait. Just be right!
I was angry when I came out of that restaurant. I don't want to see their romantic scenes in front of my eyes. Ruin my eyesight. Without realizing it, Elisha ran after me and shouted to the parking lot. I still ignored him when he followed me into the car.
"Why did you leave me?!"
"Wear your seat belt fast."
I don't want to answer the question. He just looked at me and did as I said.
"My shoes! What'd you take him everywhere for? I'm sick of wearing these uncomfortable hospital sandals."
He found his shoes and immediately put them on. The sandal was thrown in the back passenger seat and he accidentally saw my barrel gun. He looked twice as surprised, but he said nothing.
In the still driving position of the car, I immediately removed my coat and threw it behind to cover the weapon. But the next thing that shocked me and had to stop the car suddenly was the cry of Elisha. He looks so scared.
"Leon!!! AAAAAAAH!!! Your stomach is bleeding!!!" He screamed very loudly. I removed my seatbelt and approached her.
"Hey, relax." I tried to hold her hand but she brushed it off and tried to cover her mouth with her hand. His eyes are already glazed.
"Elisa .. calm down, this is not my blood. You see .. I'm fine."
I pressed my hand against my stomach to prove I wasn't in pain. Slowly Elisha calmed down and tried to touch my shirt. He pressed it down and felt my shirt was indeed stained with dried blood.
"Leon, what exactly is going on?"
I returned to the body. I sighed and turned the car engine back on. Elisha was still looking at me, waiting for an explanation.
"Elisa, listen to me. I can't tell you. It is very dangerous and understand. Right now I just have to do whatever I have to do."
"Leon ... but this—"
"I'm fine and I hope you don't have to talk about it anymore."
Elisha was silent and looked disappointed at my answer. After that talk Elisha never looked at me. He held his trembling hand. He was very surprised by what he saw.
It took a long time to reach Zach's palace. And I took the car in no hurry like before. How could I pass this time? Elisha was soundly asleep beside me.
Arriving at Zach's palace, I took Elisha to his room. He was not disturbed in his sleep. I couldn't bear to wake her up just to take off her shoes. Finally I took the initiative to remove the shoes and justify the blanket that covered his body. And I don't know where the courage from I could have easily kissed Elisha on the forehead.
I think I'm crazy.
Good night, Elisha.
