The Gun In My Hand's

The Gun In My Hand's
Chaptre 01. I'm The Saddest

Bradley's Mension, Newcastle (Tyne and Wear), UK-09.17 pm.

"Isn't this ridiculous? I mean our family's grand plan." My left hand held tightly to the wine glass which was still intact. While my right hand is stiff on the edge of the balcony terrace. I slightly stole a glance towards the man next to me who was still faithfully enjoying his cigarette. I don't know what I want from this guy.

The association between Armstrong's family and Bradley's family has not surprised me. Of course I'm ready for this situation. But I did not expect to receive this rejection directly before my eyes.

Smoke came back from his mouth. Even the smoke seemed to have made it to my lungs bringing a sense of excessive tightness.

"Do you know that?" He asked with a cynical tone. I'm nervous. I never felt intimidated by him. He was always friendly and said softly to me. No. gabe. He is like that to everyone.

"Yes, like that. But I thought this was just a joke that came out of my mother's mouth a few days ago."

"Well what are you like!" He didn't ask, he shouted. We managed to look at each of us. There was no gentleness on his face, only anger and disappointment. Does he hate this matchmaking plan? He didn't even ask my opinion, he just showed dislike for me.

I can't say anything. It's so stifling, I can't even shed a tear in front of him. I can't confirm my feelings because what's more frightening is that he's the one who left me. I'll be a long way destroyed when he decides to.

I still remember his rejection. Everyone, even myself, did not expect him to let out his anger in front of his family.

...***...

A few minutes ago...

My hands felt cold on my thighs, even penetrating the dress I was wearing. I'm sitting in the middle of my family and the Bradleys. The warmth that the Bradleys kept giving me was getting more tense. Both my parents were still engrossed in talking to Mr and Mrs Bradley while enjoying some good appetizers.

We were waiting for one important person at a time who made my chest come closer and tighter with each second. It was Kyle Alfred Bradley. He was my childhood friend, he was my college friend, he was my business partner, and he was.

"Consider a little, Elisha. Kyle, it's coming. He promised me he would stay here. We'll surprise him together. I'm sure it's the best day you two have." Samanta calms me back down, she's the female version of Kyle. This sister is so beautiful and charming. I didn't answer anything, just a brief smile.

Before long, a firm step was heard by someone entering the dining room and my heart doubled in speed. I glanced at my mother and she just smiled. The sound of the move seemed to stop not far from me. I could not look at the body not far behind me because I was sitting behind him.

Samanta stood up from his seat and shouted very loudly. I knew she would behave like an adorable little sister in front of Kyle with a very tight hug.

"Sister! I knew you were coming. You're making me anxious. How did you get late at the family dinner?!"

"Hahahaha, I'm sorry. There's something I need to do first. I don't think this is our family dinner anymore. Any guests? You should have told me to come sooner."

"Should any new guests come quickly to your own house?" I heard Mrs Bradley quip her. While walking around the side of the table in front of me, Kyle replied to his mother saying, "Come on, Mom. You know what Mr. Bradley was like in my position."

"Yeah, you guys are both shitty. At least he's working on making money for his wife and son, not spending all day strumming guitar strings." Kyle kisses his mother's cheek after sitting down. She responded to her mother's words while laughing, "Hahahaha, don't I do it now, Mom."

Suddenly our eyes met. He only gave me a charming smile, not intending to ask because our family often had dinner together. Doesn't he see anything different about me? Though I have put all my abilities to look beautiful in front of him.

Everything went perfectly as usual, until the direction of our parents' conversation led to the core of this meeting. And that's when we saw Kyle's real anger. He yelled at everyone at the dinner table. Even her mother was crying.

"What right do you have to rule my life! I always give my best to you, but why don't you ever understand me! It's enough you guys ignore my wishes and I give in to it, but not this time. You disappointed me!" After a loud bang on the table, he left the dining room, not intending to calm this already shattered atmosphere.

Wasn't I the most hurt of all the people here. With Kyle's anger, he showed his harsh rejection of me. I didn't have time to cry or calm everyone here. I have to prove to myself that he doesn't want this match.

Now...

"I can't, Elisha. I really can't. You know we've been together long enough and I never thought the least of all of this"

"What if I want it myself?" I cut his words quickly. I knew he would make me even more confused if he continued what he wanted to say. I couldn't wait any longer, I decided to end my charade as his beloved sister, best friend, and greatest business partner. I want her to think of me as a woman.

But what I got was a surprised face. I hate the expression he shows. It showed that he felt very sorry and seemed to be preparing to apologize for his refusal. If in a fighting game I was considered out of life. The collision of the enemy is inevitable.

Depressing.

I could see Kyle quickly set his face of surprise quickly. He looked back to the dark scene ahead. He took a sip back of his cigarette which was almost gone. I re-energized myself.

"I can't stop them, Kyle."

"You can't ... You don't want to." I was a little confused by his answer. Yeah, I really don't want to let this end just like that even if it's gonna hurt everybody. Not evil.

"Anything you've planned won't happen. I'll make sure this plan never gets into my life plan. Even if it makes me die once. I wouldn't want to"

"How can you say all that, Kyle! Then what am I?"

"You know I don't think you're what you think you are. I have limits you can't get into. I just let you touch a little shred of my life. Trust me you don't know anything."

I stayed silent long enough to digest her words. Is that true? I've been by her side for a long time and there's no secret I never knew. This is just his diversion to this situation. Please don't fool me.

"I love a woman you never even knew, Elisha. I left him for all this. You know, even now I don't enjoy this. So nauseating. I threw away everything precious to hurt myself. Thank you for your surprise tonight. Makes me not hesitate to be selfish this time."

After ending his words, Kyle turned to leave me out of nowhere. Instantly my body was limp, and my legs felt boneless. I fell down with a glass of wine I threw not far from me. I cried in silence while hitting my chest. It's very stifling. I've never had a rejection this big in my life.

Before long I heard the roar of the car away from this Missions. I'm sure it's Kyle. He really left me. What am I supposed to do? Life's ruined. The biggest storm hit me. I can't even control the wheel properly. I'm ready to drown at any time.

Three days later's...

Armstrong's Mension, Newcastle - 7.21 pm.

"Can I get a little privacy somewhere? Maybe a few days or a few weeks."

I heard a rough breath from my father. But he just did that without wanting to respond to my words. My mother commented shortly.

"You don't know what it's like to be in my position." My mother held my palm.

His worries are reasonable considering I'm his only child. Yeah, I'm the only son of a James Armstrong who is famous as the greatest business and finance entrepreneur in the UK. Together with his friend Sam Bradley, they run a stock exchange in London which is the largest stock exchange in Europe.

The friendship between my father and Uncle Sam led me into the future plans they wanted. But Kyle's rejection got me so bad. They don't understand how hard this is for me. I need a diversion for the situation I just faced a few days ago. I haven't forgotten it one bit.

"You want to accompany me? Yeah, maybe look at the training of some handsome, tall, muscular guy." I rolled my eyeballs hearing my cousin's words. We were having dinner at my family's mension and my shitty cousin came today. Rarely does he have time for this. I think he's busy taking care of the company.

He owns the largest security service provider in the UK and unfortunately his wealth can't even be foreseen because his business has spread to other fields, one of which I know he has also entered into the arms industry. Maybe I think it's been all over mainland Europe even America already knows his name. Moreover, he also had a strong connection with the royal family. He even had an ancient asset that is now one of his residences in the form of a palace in the Waltham Forest area.

It was Zachary Parker. We were seven years different and it didn't make the childish nature between us disappear if we met. He's busy with his business world and .. how do I call it. Ex wife or wife. I dare not ask where his wife is, I only saw her once at his wedding and never found her again. I don't want to keep thinking about Zach's miserable fate because I'm just as pathetic as he is.

"I'm not interested."

"Yeah whatever, I'm just offering you some help your father might agree to because it would be safer to be with me. I plan on touring several branches of the company across Europe. Maybe you can find something interesting on the way."

"really! Is that true, Dad?!" My father again exhaled a rough breath but this time it was different. He stopped his dinner and put down everything he held.

Finally he spoke up, "Whatever you want as long as your safety is guaranteed. I suggest you give some of the best bodyguards you have to follow."

"Come, Dad. I don't need that!" I don't like my father's exaggeration.

"Mother wouldn't let you go without a bodyguard, Elisha." Whatever this is, my mother also agreed to my father's terms.

"Alright, all right, all right. Just one person." I'm trying to use my business skills to negotiate.

"Three." Sure enough, my father wanted three people who would be my tail on every trip.

"No, Dad. One." One more time, come on.

"Two." Reply father.

"Nooo, one or none?" Please.

"Well one, Zach I want the best. I don't care if there's no bodyguard if he's with you but not if you're not with him. Don't let him wander around without you."

"Yes, okay." I kept letting out my unbearable smile. Ah, I can finally enjoy the fresh air outside of England.

One week later...

Parker's Palace, Waltham Forest (Greater London), UK - 5.41 pm.

What the fuck. This is not the vacation I want. There was no handsome and stout man with sweat pouring out of his forehead that tempted me. I'm locked up in Zach's creepy ancient palace.

"Come on Zach, you just said a few days ago that you would show something interesting about this boring European landmass." I tried to turn to Zach.

"Patience, Princess. We just came and I still have something to do. Maybe tomorrow I can take you to the Eastern Missions to see the training. Now let your body rest, we'll meet again at dinner" Zach explained.

"You'd rather work than keep your word, Zach. At least give me someone to talk to. Maybe one of the handsome bodyguards you have." I saw Zach roll his eyeballs. I think she's getting sick of my childish nature. But who promised me that. Believe me I will collect a promise debt no matter how small.

"You're blind. There are a lot of my people here. You can invite one to talk. Come on, Elizabeth Armstrong, I won't break my promise. I'll take you tomorrow. So please be patient." After saying that he quickly kissed my head and immediately closed the door of his study.

"But none of them are handsome, Zach! I've been going around this mension before, you lied!"

Sucks. I screamed loudly at the closed door in front of me until one of the people who might be tasked with guarding Zach's study was a little surprised. Surprised at my screams, I was somehow offended when I said no one was handsome. Stupid timing. When I wanted to leave the door, the door opened before long and gave Zach a slightly strange face.

"really? Don't tell me you went to the Southern Missions earlier."

"I don't even know the name of the mession I'm standing in right now, Zach." I rolled my eyeballs because of my ignorance.

"Good, don't try the Southern Missions. There I deliberately prepared for my guests who did not want to be disturbed. I don't want you messing around in there." After saying so he closed the door again without excuse.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I finally went back to my room and intended to sulk. I don't want to have dinner alone with a boring Zach. I finally invited a female servant my age to chat. Don't forget I told him to make whatever food I like. Quite satisfying because the food provided is delicious.

Ah, at least I got everything I wanted here and didn't bother to learn to be a graceful woman full of fucking manners. I was also quite tired of the sickening business lessons. There's nothing I have to do but get into the business world because I'm the only one who's gonna replace my dad. That ancient invisible rule is not very suitable for me.

For a moment I can forget my sadness here. I tried as much as I could to organize my heart that had been broken irregularly. I know it's not that easy, but I hope it'll pass soon. At least I know the end of all my patience.

And I didn't expect from him. Strong Elisha.
