Strongest Lady's

Strongest Lady's
Ch. 92 - End of War II

The troops brought by Commander Gong arrived when the war had ended. Regret is seen in the eyes of the man when he finds out he is late. Unexpectedly through shortcuts still takes a long time, even though he was quite sure of his choice.

Their arrival became the center of attention of the forces of the Dragon Claw Sect. They were certainly confused as to why the palace troops came to the battle of the two sects.

“Ying? Why are you here?” da Feng asked in a slightly hoarse voice.

“I'm coming for Teacher! Where is he now?” Ying smiled broadly.

He hurriedly got off the horse and approached Da Feng. Seeing the look in Da Feng's eyes instantly made Ying lose her smile. Was the young man unhappy with his presence?

“She ... forgive me.. she died in battle...”.

Ying was speechless, the girl stepped forward approaching Da Feng with a look full of disbelief.

“You don't lie!” he said half screaming.

Da Feng just shook his head slowly. Hearing their talk certainly surprised Commander Gong who was behind them, the man immediately rained down on Da Feng with questions about Weiruo.

Da Feng told him everything he knew, from the beginning to the end of that war. Commander Gong immediately fell to the ground after hearing Da Feng's story.

Indeed Commander Gong almost lost consciousness so shocked to hear the news of Weiruo's death.

Da Feng immediately escorted them to see Weiruo's body. As soon as she saw the body Ying just shouted hysterically, Meigui and Lan Meili were no less surprised to see it.

Commander Gong could only be silent there, his head was now full of thoughts on how he would deal with this to the emperor and empress, especially the empress. Weiruo was his only child, Weiruo's death would definitely be a heavy blow to him.

Da Feng invited the man to speak personally and left the others first.

“How will we explain this to Her Majesty the Empress?” asked Commander Gong in despair.

“I'm thinking about it too.”

The two stayed for some time, in the end they only decided to go back and say what they were, because it would be impossible if they hid Weiruo's death.

Fu Cheng approached the two, asking Da Feng to come with him to have a four-eye talk with him. Da Feng only agreed and followed Fu Cheng far away.

“Nak Da Feng, tell me, who exactly is Miss Ruo?” ask Fu Cheng.

After a long time of deep curiosity, Fu Cheng finally ventured to ask. It had long been curious about Weiruo's identity, but it was only this time that he ventured after seeing the arrival of Commander Gong.

“Dia .. is the Crown Princess of Xifeng Empire. You must be surprised about this .. then .. don't think about it too much. It's my fault, I failed to protect it.”

Da Feng smiled wryly, his current thoughts were so chaotic about so many things. The young man did not wait for a response from Fu Cheng and left.

Commander Gong and Da Feng did not want to spend any longer there and decided to return to the palace.

Before leaving Da Feng said his farewell to Fu Cheng and asked the old man not to blame himself.

Fu Cheng clenched his hands so tightly, his fingernails pierced his palms to the point of dripping blood. How could Fu Cheng not blame himself when he could not help Weiruo, even though the girl had saved the most important person in his life.

There was nothing he could do, only being able to see the imperial troops walking away just like that.

...***...

Their arrival was welcomed by the emperor and empress. Worry was clearly visible in their eyes, Xuan Riuyi was the one most enthusiastic about the arrival of all of them.

It was just that Xuan Riuyi's smile disappeared when he did not find the mere existence of the princess.

He approached Da Feng who was standing beside his horse. His body was still scarred, his gaze was blank, and there was not the slightest smile on his face.

“Nak, where's my daughter?” ask her in a soft voice.

Da Feng did not immediately reply, his mouth frozen, as if refusing to speak. He held Xuan Riuyi's hand so carefully, guilt enveloped him upon seeing the woman's gaze.

In the end after struggling with his own thoughts, Da Feng ventured to speak.

“I'm sorry ... I can't protect her,” her voice is so raucous, Da Feng doesn't dare to talk more than that.

The young man kowtowed under Xuan Riuyi's feet, he began to sob. His heart was filled with guilt, his mind had been so chaotic ever since.

“What do you mean? Where's my daughter?”

Commander Gong walked over to Xuan Riuyi and explained everything regretfully.

The hysterical cry of Xuan Riuyi instantly sounded so knowing the condition of his daughter, he hurriedly ran to one of the horse carriages and searched for her daughter's corpse.

The woman opened the cloth that covered the charred corpse on fire, seeing the condition of the corpse made her instantly limp. Her tears were flowing, her tears were breaking and she was crying so hard.

“NOT! SHE'S NOT MY DAUGHTER!” his yell.

“HE'S NOT MY DAUGHTER! GET HIM OUT OF HERE!”

Xuan Riuyi's hysterical shout shocked Xuan Guoxin, the man directly hugged his wife tightly.

Xuan Riuyi continued to shout and deny the existence of the corpse, he continued to order Da Feng to take it away from the palace.

“He's not my daughter .. My husband, you believe me, ‘right? She's not our Princess!” he said in the middle of sobs.

Xuan Riuyi walked towards Da Feng who was kneeling on the ground. The woman held both shoulders of Da Feng so tightly.

“K-you must be kidding me! B-correct, ‘kan? You guys must be kidding like always!” with a trembling voice Xuan Riuyi asked so.

Da Feng shook his head weakly. Da Feng's reply made Xuan Riuyi lose his strength, he sat limply before Da Feng and looked at the young man in disbelief.

“NOT! YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WRONG TO BRING PEOPLE! SHE'S NOT MY DAUGHTER!” his yell.

As forcefully as Xuan Riuyi shook Da Feng's body, the young man remained silent. He was too afraid to speak, guilt had enveloped his heart. He did not even dare to look at the two eyes of the woman before him right now.

Xuan Riuyi wept in tears, refusing Weiruo's body and forbidding her husband from burying her in the royal family's tomb.

“If you dare to bury the corpse in the royal family's grave on behalf of my daughter, I will cut my own neck!” he threatened Xuan Guoxin.

Xuan RIuyi's words certainly surprised Xuan Guoxin, not expecting his wife to dare to say so.

The man hugged Xuan Riuyi tightly and tried to calm her down. In fact, he himself was also in the midst of grief over the departure of Weiruo. However, he knew better if Xuan Riuyi was the one who needed the tranquilizer the most right now.
