Strongest Lady's
Ch. 38 - The Blood Valley

Silence enveloped Weiruo's training room, he and Da Feng stared at each other in silence.

“So you know...”

“Ya.”

Weiruo gnawed his forehead slowly, he forgot that Da Feng was also a swordsman, then his subordinates who sometimes casually entered the Weiruo residence.

“Does anyone else know?” weiruo asked with a voice so heavy.

“No, who would dare to casually enter this place?”

“You.”

Da Feng only chuckled softly at Weiruo's response, the young man then explained that other than himself no one else knew if Weiruo had left for the previous two weeks.

Weiruo exhaled a sigh of resignation. Returning to his original purpose of having Da Feng meet, Weiruo explains his plan to search for Laohua's whereabouts and bring her back.

Throughout Weiruo explains Da Feng listened seriously, occasionally rejecting plans that he thought were too risky.

Da Feng took out a map, opened it on the table and explained the location of the Blood Valley.

“You seem to understand so much about this continent.”

“Before I met you I always moved. I'm a Swordsman with no sect, no organization .. also without family.”

Weiruo did not respond, his eyes focused on the map that Da Feng had marked. If wanting to go to the Weiruo Blood Valley had to pass through the Huangjin Empire, the relationship between the empire and the Xifeng Empire was not good.

“When are we going?” asked Da Feng.

“Tomorrow nights.”

***

The next day as Weiruo had said, he and Da Feng started the journey when night fell.

The two rode horses in the darkness of the night, the sound of the footprints accompanying their night.

No moonlight illuminated their path, when entering the forest Weiruo would use light stones to illuminate the path. Every now and then he would look around and make sure there was no one else but them.

Da Feng led the way because the young man better understood the path to the Huangjin Empire.

Their journey went quite smoothly, did not feel that three days had passed for the two, occasionally they would rest so that the condition of their horses was awake and not toppled in the middle of the journey.

Weiruo pulled his horse rope and asked Da Feng to stop for a moment.

“What's up? No shade around here.”

Weiruo did not answer, instead asking the young man to be quiet while he seemed busy looking for something.

“Did you hear it? Sound of the fight.”

“Ya, I just heard it.” Da Feng approached Weiruo with his horse, saying that they were racing against time.

The Blood Valley works on the basis of a mission given by others. The Laohua abduction was of course a mission carried out by them, after arriving at the headquarters as soon as possible they would definitely hand over Laohua to the person who gave them the mission.

“Baik—“

“Mr Swordsman!”

Da Feng turned to the origin of the voice, seen a girl running towards them. The state of the girl looks chaotic, there are many blood spots on her clothes. Her eyes shed tears, clearly frightened in both eyes of the girl.

Not until the girl came to Da Feng, the young man had already drawn a sword towards her.

“T-Mr Swordsman please save my family ... There are so many spiritual beasts attacking us.”

“Not my business—what are you doing?” Da Feng was surprised to see Weiruo spurting his horse towards the girl coming.

“Tcih.”

Da Feng spurred his horse and followed Weiruo as soon as possible. The two finally arrived at a place where a small group was being attacked by a group of spiritual beasts.

The spiritual beast was an ape with a size almost comparable to an adult, had golden brown fur and two pairs of hands.

The group's bodyguards seem overwhelmed to withstand the attacks of the apes, some of them seem to have begun to fatigue.

“Chie, help me.”

Chie, the firebird on Weiruo's shoulder flew after getting the order. Chie flew quite high before spouting fireballs from his mouth.

Weiruo did not remain silent and charged forward with a sword in his hand.

Weiruo moved quickly swinging his sword, each movement of his sword was flowed with energy so that it could easily penetrate the skin of the apes.

Da Feng arrived not long after Weiruo, the young man immediately threw a poisonous knife from a distance, suffocating the apes from the poison inside the blade before being finished off by Weiruo.

In a short time the apes began to fall, the arrival of Weiruo turned things around so quickly. Seeing his friend die the other apes immediately left before being targeted by Da Feng's next blade.

The group's bodyguards felt helped so they immediately thanked him as soon as the group of apes left.

“What is the name of this creature?” weiruo asked as he pointed at the corpse of the ape using his sword.

“Golden Monkey. They live in groups, often attacking entourage passing through their territory,” Da Feng explained. “Save the bodies, their skin can be sold,” he continued.

“Once, yes.”

Not long ago the girl who had approached Da Feng back with breathless breath as she immediately ran as soon as Da Feng spurred her horse to follow Weiruo.

“Mr and Miss Swordsman, I am very grateful for the help of you two,” said a man with a fairly stocky body.

“My name is Qin Liumin, then she is my daughter, Qin Suyin. I don't know what I can give in return for your kindness,” Qin Liumin smiled awkwardly.

“No need to think about it, after all we have to continue the journey immediately,” Weiruo said.

“Are you going to the region of Huangjin Empire?” ask Qin Liumin.

Weiruo asserted, Qin Liumin hurriedly offered to take Weiruo as a form of gratitude. Weiruo refused, he would not stop by as he planned to go directly to the Blood Valley.

After all if he went in the entourage it would slow down time whereas he and Da Feng had to come to the Blood Valley as quickly as possible.

Qin Liumin looked a little sad, but he was also not pushy because he knew that if there were times when a swordsman had to travel as quickly as possible, if Weiruo joined his entourage it would most likely slow down the girl's journey.

“Nona, I am a merchant in the imperial capital. Miss can come to my residence if I need anything, this debt of gratitude I will always remember. May I know your names?”

“Ruo. I'll come someday.”

Weiruo smiled faintly, after Da Feng introduced himself and a little small conversation Weiruo invited the young man to immediately continue the journey.

Currently the two were in the border region of the Huangjin Empire, if one wanted to go to the Blood Valley one had to pass through the empire.

According to Da Feng's estimation they would arrive at least five to seven days, considering the Blood Valley was in a region that was so hard to reach by ordinary people.

Weiruo no matter how long it took to get there, the most important thing for him was to pick up Laohua and bring her back.
