Side Story of Edward

Prosecutor's office.

" Edward, wasn't Andreas and Robbie your old partner and boss?."

" Yes senior. Why are you asking that?."

" Check this. Our suspicions on them seem to be true."

" Haaah, I already know that's the problem."

" When?."

" First of all. But I don't have the right timing, can I join the case?."

" Of course. You're my most reliable junior."

Edward and a senior prosecutor smiled meaningfully. Now is the time to show those who used to always underestimate him that silence does not mean he receives all the humiliation for him.

Fbi Office.

The sound of the steps of several people rhymed and quickly sounded. A group of men in suits came to the FBI office to attract the attention of those who saw it.

Braaks.. The door to Robbie's room, one of the officials there, was opened and Edward appeared with a haughty face and pulled out a paper.

" Mister Andreas and Mr. Robbie. You were arrested on suspicion of bribery and selling office."

Andreas stiffened his face as did Robbie. Finally the moment they feared happened but they had no other choice.

On Edward's orders they were taken to the prosecutor's office and some people began to confiscate all documents in Robbie's office and Andreas's.

The two now sit opposite senior prosecutor Edward in his office for questioning.

When he finished, Edward took over his senior job.

" It's good to see you again."

Edward said, but his eyes focused on his laptop.

" You must be satisfied now, your grudge is finally avenged" Andreas said.

" Rubbish? I've never held a grudge against you even though you've been barking every time you see me."

" That's Edward, there's no shame in admitting it. You must have tried so hard to bring me down."

Edward who was typing something stopped his movement and he looked at Andreas.

Andreas clenched his handcuffed hand to hit Edward but he knew he had lost to him.

" It's time to reap what you've planted. Good luck."

It was night time when Edward finished his work. He glanced at his watch and remembered something.

" Fuck, he's gonna kill me."

Edward immediately stuffed some important documents into the bag and half ran away from his already deserted office.

When he exited the prosecutor's building he circulated his gaze looking for someone.

" Alice..."

When he found the figure he was looking for he immediately approached her.

A woman whose name was called turned her head with eyes ready to pounce on Edward.

" Edward, I've been waiting almost 2 hours here. Why did you turn off your phone."

The woman named Aileen went to her waist and scolded Edward without caring about the people who passed her.

" I'm sorry, I'm a lot of work and I don't know if my phone is dead."

" You should have called me earlier.. Why do I always have to wait for you."

" Aileen.. Are you not tired of always being angry?."

" It's because you always piss me off. You always put your work together since before than me. Do you think I'm not busy either? I'm busy too but I always prioritize you."

Edward chuckled at Aileen's long explanation and it made Aileen even more upset.

" Well, I admit I was wrong. From now on my job number 2 you will be in first place. That's if you want to be my wife."

Deg. Aileen's feelings like a rollercoaster she was at the peak of her emotions suddenly became blushed because of Edward's speech.

Edward reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring.

" I'm sorry to keep you waiting so long, Aileen. I loved you long ago, now and forever."

Aileen cried tears of joy at Edward's proposal. Especially when Edward put the ring on Aileen's sweet day couldn't stop smiling. The two embrace warmly as the end of the 10-year love story finds its happiness.
