Noah's gunfight with the people chasing him is still ongoing. Anna is still trying to drive as well and as fast as possible.

The distance of their car was quite far and Noah was a little relieved. Then he dropped his gun suddenly his car tire broke.

Anna was as determined as she could to control her steering wheel so that they would not crash or flip and was lucky she succeeded.

Noah leads Anna out of there and the men are still chasing him. They ran into an old building and hid there.

" Are they still after us?".

Anna asked with a broken breath.

" Yes, but you'll rest easy Victor will be here soon."

" Who are they?."

" My enemies are too many so I don't recognize them one by one."

Anna was slightly gaping because of Noah's words.

Drapery. The sound of someone's footsteps approaching. Noah then pulled Anna to the corner of the room and she herself was in front of him by covering Anna's mouth.

" Shhhh.. "

Their bodies stuck together so that Anna could hear Noah's extremely fast heartbeat. Anna looked up to see Noah's face and it made her a little calm.

After a moment of noise from outside the building and it turns out Noah's men are involved in a fight with the people. Noah then leads Anna back and peeks from behind the wall.

Noah's men were indeed outnumbered but their martial skills could not be doubted.

Anna, who had been terrified, kept holding Noah's hand. When Noah's enemy's attention is distracted, Noah plans to leave to take Anna from there.

" Anna, we're going to get to that car. In 3 we have to run."

Anna nodded in understanding.

" Okay, one.du.."

Not yet finished counting Noah, Anna ran first leaving Noah confused but he soon caught up with him.

They arrive simultaneously in one of Noah's men's cars. Noah immediately stamped the gas leaving the place because he knew his men had crippled all his enemies.

Anna inhaled a deep breath while rubbing her chest. The second time he experienced the most stressful event of his life after previously he had been kidnapped and almost killed.

" Anna, can't you count?".

" Huh?".

" I said we'd run on the count of three ."

" I'm sorry Noah, I'm so scared and want to get out of there right away."

" I was just kidding. Thank goodness we got away from them. "

A few hours later, Victor Noah's confidants came to him to report.

" The men were Oliver's lawyers. They want revenge because we've foiled his plan and imprisoned his father."

" i'm Oliver.. He was vengeful as well. I don't like people who are corrupt and take away the rights of others. That's a fair reward for him if he's greedy."

" What's your next plan."

" We're giving him a lesson that will make him regret for bothering me."

Without Noah realizing it, Anna had been listening behind the door. Although he did not understand what Noah and Victor were talking about, he was sure that Noah had done something to those who were his enemies.

Anna's high curiosity makes her want to find out who Noah meant and get involved with the incident. He overheard Noah mention Oliver's lawyer's name and searched the name on the internet.

" He's a famous lawyer, his father was a political official who was arrested for embezzling funds from an orphanage foundation in Los Angeles. So it was Noah who put this man in jail.."

It was then that Noah suddenly entered, Anna who was shocked spontaneously closed the laptop in her hand.

" What are you doing? Not sleeping?".

Ask Noah.

" Just check some e-mails. I'm waiting for you."

Noah approached and sat down beside Anna. He stroked her hair and kissed her forehead.

" Sleep you must be tired."

" I'm not sleepy yet. Noah, can I ask you something?".

" What do you want to know?".

" Have you always lived like this? A lot of people are after your life aren't you afraid."

" I know your worries but I'm used to it. Do you regret living with me or feel your life is threatened?".

" no. Before I accepted you I had already considered this. I won't regret being with you."

Noah was amazed by Anna's words, the first time a woman was able to shake his heart.

" Thank you Anna, I'm sorry you had to get bad things because of me."

" At least my boring life is now full of challenges. I'll try to enjoy it."

Noah laughed at hearing that.

" Now let's go to bed. "

Anna nodded with a smile on her face. The two lie down with Noah holding her. Until the soft snoring from Noah sounded, Anna had not yet closed her eyes. He kept looking at Noah's face.

I feel like you're still hiding your true self.
