(Voice of television news anchor.)
" Some orphanages in Los Angeles receive large anonymous donations at regular intervals.
After being tracked down by a white hacker who was getting attention for uncovering many facts about Elnathan Noah he said that it was a fund that came from Reynsoft.
The view of society changed overnight they said that Elnathan Noah may have been an angel in the form of a demon.
After further deepening he said that long ago the organized Phoenix group no longer committed crimes that harmed the state or society and this may be related to Elnathan Noah as a person the presumed one is the leader."
The rowdy atmosphere inside the prison they were quite impressed by the news about Noah. But unlike Noah he seemed not to care about it. He was thinking who was the one who leaked the secret so that it was known by everyone.
A few weeks passed and it was time for Noah's first trial to be held. The trial attracted so much public attention that one of the local news channels had the opportunity to cover it exclusively.
The official hearing was opened in general and began with a reading of the agenda of the next hearing, the judge called the defendant to enter the courtroom.
Noah arrives and becomes the center of attention. When he saw that his family was there with Michael.
Noah threw a smile at those who retorted the worries of Julia and Laura.
The public prosecutor began to read out his charges, Noah and his legal team listened carefully. All evidences of crimes received by the police were presented. The trial, which took hours, went smoothly and will continue for some time to examine the witnesses.
The community began to empathize with Noah since the news came out. Now they knew that he was just the scapegoat of all his father's crimes. But the law must continue to run and he still accepts freely all charges against him.
Many of them voiced that the demands on Noah be quashed. Moreover, his contribution to the welfare of the poor, abandoned children and all his virtues helped law enforcement to catch criminals who were more detrimental to the state and society.
Edward smiled satisfied to see support for Noah and it was not impossible if Noah could finally be released.
Edward who was focused on his work room was suddenly surprised by a colleague who broke into his room.
" Don't you know how to knock on the door?."
" Haha.. Edward Lee's. Actually what are you doing. So it's true you're helping a big-time crook like Elnathan Noah. How would your father feel if he knew."
" It's none of your business. You better go I'm busy."
" What the fuck. Since when can a cop befriend his criminal."
Andreas was Edward's office partner who didn't like him from the beginning. He often discriminated against Edward because his father was imprisoned but he did not care much about him.
" Andreas, if you don't have anything left to make me look bad in front of everyone you'd better stop."
Andreas just smiled slantedly at Edward.
" What am I hiding?."
" You just wait until the time comes."
Edward's threat was enough to make Andreas agitated. It was unexpected that Edward who was once just an onion began to show his fangs.
After Andrew died, Edward focused on his work.
" In the next hearing I can confirm that Noah can lead but the presiding judge is notoriously firm and unforgiving. What should I do to convince him?."
Edward remembered something and left his office. The judge's private house handling Noah's case is his goal.
" Good afternoon, sir."
" Edward Lee. Come in."
The judge was very friendly towards Edward in stark contrast to his reputation that many people knew.
" It's been a while since we met outside of work, huh."
" Yes you're right. Sorry I can visit now."
" It's okay, I can understand your busyness. If you ever come to visit me like this, there's gotta be something important you wanna say."
Edward remained silent for a while. He felt uneasy actually going head-to-head with an honorable supreme judge.
" I'd like to discuss the case of Elnathan Noah."
" Oh, that's beyond belief. What do you want to discuss with me?."
" Look, is it possible that this case could be solved without him having to go to jail. You know for yourself he just felt guilty and wanted to take the punishment he was supposed to for his father."
" Edward, honestly seeing him in front of me as a defendant makes me want to put him in prison for life if necessary. Especially because of what he did to your father that I respect indirectly he played with the law that we made ourselves. That's a huge insult to all of us."
" I understand very well, sir. But there are things you should see from another point of view about Elnathan Noah. He didn't want him to be a villain, so he's different from Jeffrey."
" I understand what you're trying to say. Even though he's behind doing good but he still has to pay for what he's done. I don't care about the public opinion that my job is to punish him according to the law."
Edward let out a long sigh as if he had failed to convince the judge to change his view of Noah. Now he has to think of another strategy to help him.
