Cold War

The sun had not fully appeared yet but Anna had already woken up from her sleep. He remembered all night crying to sleep and Noah was nowhere to be seen that morning.

She went down to look for her husband, but Noah was not in all the rooms in the house. His last search was Noah's study room and he had fallen asleep on the couch.

Anna slowly approached not wanting to wake him up. Noah saw one arm as a pillow and it looked very uncomfortable.

Anna noticed that her appearance was very messy as usual and what made her full was that her right hand book looked bruised with blood that had dried up.

Anna did not have the heart to see it but given her disappointment Anna decided to take a firm stance.

Noah awoke despite not more than an hour of him being shut down. He should go to his office immediately. No waste of time Noah immediately cleaned his body when he saw in his hand there was a plaster covering his wound last night. He looked at it and smiled bitterly.

When she was about to leave, Anna saw him still lying on his bed wrapped in a blanket. Noah knew he was only pretending to be asleep but he let it go anyway.

Hearing the sound of her bedroom door closing Anna immediately opened her eyes. The second cold war began to make Anna worse.

Noah's Office.

" Sir, there's someone who wants to see you named Samuel."

Noah's secretary said by phone.

" Send him to my room."

" Good."

Only seconds later Noah's door was knocked and Ryn's secretary Noah followed Samuel.

" Hi Sam. What's the matter you're suddenly here for?."

" I brought my father a message he wanted to thank you for your help."

" I think it's something important. Tell him I'm waiting for him to say thank you in person."

" I'll tell you well."

" How's Joey doing?."

Noah switched the conversation to ask the news of his best friend's sister.

" That's good news. I'm glad to hear it."

Noah and Samuel talked about many things in Noah's busy life and it was a little comforting. Since morning he could not concentrate at all on his work and his mood was so bad that some of his employees had become victims of his anger. It was fortunate that Samuel had come so that Noah could slightly forget his grief from quarreling with Anna.

At Anna's house as usual struggling with her painting tools. I don't know since when he re-enjoiced his favorite but as he remembered the last time he painted because he lived in a place with a beautiful view. It sometimes reminds him of his father who knows where he is.

Because Noah severely restricted himself from interacting with the outside world, he did not even allow Anna to contact anyone without his permission. The more lonely he felt.

Anna did not continue her painting she just sat languidly in front of the painting. His body was there but his mind wandered until he did not realize that there was a pair of eyes watching him from behind.

He stared at Anna's lonely back, but it didn't make him give up.

This is what Anna has to accept when she is willing to be the wife of a mobster.

Anna felt a shadow flashing behind her but it was too late as she turned her head Noah had already left. Anna was so upset that she couldn't hold back her tears.

The feeling was so dilemma because since marriage a lot of sharp pebbles and steep roads between them that made Noah increasingly away from him there was even a change in Noah's attitude that he felt. Not infrequently they argue but again Anna who must always give up.

I can't be weak I must have a stand.

Anna thought about what attitude she would show Noah so that he would win this time against her.

The days passed without realizing how long the two men were still engaged in a cold war. Anna was more silent lately while Noah blatantly avoided her.

As Anna was reading a book in her bed she saw Noah preparing for a complete tuxedo. He tidied his bow tie and styled his hair so handsome that Anna was amazed.

" Where are you going?".

Anna said but her eyes still looked at the book she was holding.

" There's a charity party I have to attend."

Noah answered briefly and passed without saying goodbye to Anna.

Anna looks like she was thinking after Noah left she pulled something out of the drawer and it was a party invitation Noah mentioned that he took secretly without her knowledge. Noah should have invited Anna because he was invited to the party but he went alone and it made Anna even more angry.
