Don't Go

Anna woke up feeling pain all over her body.

For a moment he collected his memories after a while only then he realized he was in a foreign place.

Anna sits herself holding her slightly sore face and her forehead with a wound plaster, she also sees some cuts on her arms and elbows.

" Are you okay?."

A heavy voice shocked Anna as she turned to see that someone else was there.

The condition of the room that was minimal light made Anna not aware of the existence of Noah who had been sitting watching her.

Anna could now clearly remember the events that had just happened to her. He edged away as Noah approached him.

Looking at the frightened Anna, Noah stopped his steps and sat down at the end of the bed.

" Anna. You must be very surprised."

" What exactly is going on? Where's me?."

" Don't worry I'll take care of everything, you're safe with me now."

Anna sighed and averted her eyes from Noah. He tried to hold back his tears that were ready to fall.

" Do you realize who I got all this trouble for. I lost my job and lived in guilt for Adrian. Even now I got terrorized and almost killed.

Can you imagine how scary you are?."

Noah's eyes trembled hearing the woman he liked considered him a scary person. He could barely even speak.

" I thank you for your help today, so I hope this is our last meeting" Anna said in a cynical tone.

Anna got up from the bed and tried to stand up well while enduring the pain in her leg.

Seeing that Noah held onto Anna's body, helping her not to fall but Anna immediately brushed her off.

" You can't get out of here."

" Why not, you think I want to stay here."

" The problem is more complicated than you think. You're being targeted by someone and I have to take care of you."

" That's just your excuse, right to keep me here. I've been lazy dealing with you, Noah. So let me go right now."

Noah was so upset by Anna's stubbornness that he clenched his arms to refrain from being rude to her.

" If you leave here I'm sure you're not the only one in danger but your father as well."

Anna began to raise her voice as her father's name was called.

" Then listen to me if you don't want anything to happen to you.

I admit it's my fault for publishing the news but I didn't expect my enemies to want to use you as bait to destroy me. So you have to stay by my side so I can protect you."

Anna was stunned to hear Noah's explanation. He hopes to get away from her, but Anna gets stuck with Noah.

" I hate you, Noah. You ruined my life."

Noah then grabbed Anna's arms and her face hardened slightly.

" I did all this for you. Can you just once obey me."

" Wouldn't want to. If only I hadn't met you I probably wouldn't have suffered like this."

Noah was silent but his eyes hinted at anger, he let go of his grip as Anna grimaced slightly.

" I don't care how you feel, if you want to get out of here just try it, that's if you can."

Noah turned around and left Anna in the room. He even locked the door of his room from the outside making Anna pensive with tears that continued to flow.

Anna recalled her frightening cold face for the umpteenth time and it still made her shudder.

His heart says he must be careful of Noah but Anna has no other choice until he is forced to obey Noah's wish for him to stay with him.

Elsewhere a man with an irritated face walked followed by two large-bodied men.

He suddenly stopped his steps and turned around. With a murderous gaze he beat one of his guards to vent his anger.

" Motherfuck.. Can't you work right. All the people you asked were useless and died in vain in the hands of Elnathan Noah."

The bodyguard who became the moons of the man named Xavier just lowered his head. The pain of Xavier's punch was nothing compared to his fear because he could be killed at any time by it.

" I'm sorry, boss. Give me another chance.. "

Dor.. A bullet interrupted the man's words without him being able to finish.

Blood flowed from his chest that was shot as soon as Xavier's body collapsed and he met his end.

" Take care of him."

Xavier passed by leaving one more man of his bodyguard who had not budged since despite seeing his partner killed before his eyes.
