Slowly Change Color
After taking a hot shower and feeling a little fresher, Alicia felt a lot better. He walked to the mirror to finish it but stopped when he saw his reflection. "I didn't have time to really realize it before, but my new body was very pretty. Golden blonde hair and blue eyes. So this is how I look from now on." A smile appeared on Alicia's face. "Alicia, I'll give you the life you've always dreamed of since you gave me a second chance at life."
Alicia finished in the bathroom and put on the plain white dress she had chosen and headed to the main hall. When he came out of his room, the smell of food filled the air causing his stomach to rumble. Only now did he remember that he had not eaten anything today. Alicia tiptoed into the kitchen to take a peek as a hint of saliva seeped out from the corner of her lips and slowly towards her chin.
Berlin saw the little girl peeking out of the corner and smiling. "Just in time! Sit down at the table and I'll take her out!"
Alicia quickly ran to the table and sat down. He watched as Berlin walked out with many dishes floating in the air around him. They are full of food of all kinds. Alicia had no time to be surprised by the plate floating in the air as her eyes were completely fixated on the food that was on it.
Berlin put all the food on the table and looked at the greedy eyes and saliva flowing on his chin and chuckled. "Haha don't worry no one will take this away from you. Please eat it whole. Eat slowly so you don't get sick. You need to eat a lot to help build your muscles. The training will begin at first light tomorrow. So prepare!"
"I'll make sure to get up and be ready!" Alicia was looking forward to this training. Knowing that he could become a knight in the future was something he could not wait to achieve.
"Good! I'll check your daily schedule in the morning. For now, eat! You are just skin and bones, how are you going to follow the schedule I set for you if you don't have the energy!?" Berlin wondered how this little girl had survived to this point. He was so thin that it seemed like a gentle breeze could blow him away.
Alicia wasted no time at all, she cupped her hands and thanked him before he started eating. Only after a few minutes did he realize that Berlin was not eating. "Master Berlin, why don't you eat?"
"This food is for you. I ate early. You just eat. I have a few things to take care of." Berlin smiled and turned to leave the room.
Berlin went into his own bedroom and sat at his desk. He took out an object that looked like a mirror and placed it on the table. The shadow was overcast and soon another man appeared inside the mirror. "Your Majesty! Did you run away again!?"
"Charles, it didn't escape. I scoured the country to see how our citizens really lived their lives. Anyway, I want you to check something for me." Berlin's eyes turned cold as he recalled what Alicia had said to him.
"What do you need me to do, Your Majesty?" Charles could see that something must have happened from the look on His Majesty's face.
"Yes, Your Majesty?" Charles's confused. It seemed like His Majesty was thinking hard all of a sudden.
"Add Alicia Alastine's name as my daughter on the royal family list." Berlin has decided. The little girl needs a family. Since he doesn't have one, he'll give her one.
"Your Majesty!?" Charles's confused. A daughter? A new princess!? This is crazy news!
"Yes, but keep it a secret for now. I adopted. He wanders the woods alone trying to survive. She is an intelligent girl with a high talent for sword and magic. He would be famous someday.not planning to take him to the palace at this time. I'll wait until she comes to the ceremony eight years from now. Until then I'll give him time to grow up outside." Berlin had been thinking about this since the first time he saw the girl...
He first saw the girl staggering through the forest. He knew he was weak and malnourished. He piqued his interest so much that he saw the little girl setting a trap and killing the horned rabbit.he was surprised at how well the girl timed all her actions. He was quite impressed with his intelligence. When he left the forest, he did not think he would see her again.
It was the next day he saw her again. He is chased by a magma lion. He watched the little girl use everything she had to get away from the magma lion. He of course slowed down the mgma of the lion so that he could escape into the gap between the two stones. He did not want the little girl to die in front of him. He then waited until he would be eaten to see what he would do. But to his surprise, he turned his fear into courage and even retaliated against the magma lion alone without needing any help.
That's when he sent Blake to finish off the magma lion. He was very impressed with his courage and willingness to survive. He gives Blake a lot to give him so he will have a chance to survive. After Blake left, he used his magic to guide the little girl to her hideout. It was only then that he appeared and showed himself to the little girl. He was really amazed by the persistence of the little girl. He was exactly what he was looking for in a disciple. He was young, brave and most importantly unwilling to give up.
"I'll handle it immediately Your Majesty." Charles was amazed that His Majesty had found such a promising child in the middle of nowhere. To be able to impress His Majesty even adopting a child is no easy task!
The mirror was foggy once again and the shadow of a young man in his late twenties to early thirties could be seen. The shadow slowly changed as the young man's features turned into an old man with a long white beard and hair.
All this time, Alicia had no idea her whole life had changed and her path had been completely planned for her. He was currently engrossed in the task of eating everything on the table in front of him.
Life throws a lot of stones but sometimes they can turn into gold. For Alicia, the last stone thrown at her slowly changed color.
