The Court Before the Storm

Alicia wanted to cry when she saw the demonic beast flying back through the flames. With a sword in hand, he quickly attacked the demonic beast before they could rise from the ground. Frey who was now lying on her stomach over Alicia's head under Loeri for protection shouted in excitement as Alicia moved. "Wooo! Yeeee! Blaah! Not delicious!"

A drop of blood smashed into Frey's face as Alicia did her best to kill the demonic beast. Hearing Frey's reaction was quite ludicrous as they were in the middle of a battle. Alicia continued to kill demonic beasts for the sake of demonic beasts until finally, this wave of demonic beasts ended. Alicia sat on the ground and spread her legs in front of him. Everything from her golden blonde hair to her clothes were now covered in blood and earth. He's very tired at the moment. All he wanted was a shower and a good night's sleep. Berlin saw that Alicia was now completely exhausted so he did not send any more waves of demonic beasts.

After a short break Alicia woke up and started looking for a place to sleep that night. But with no place in sight, Alicia could only create a small cave using earth magic. He carved a small door first then opened the inside into a small room. He added some magic fireballs to the wall so that he could get a bit of light before closing the entrance. After being sealed, he took a small bath for Lorei, Frey, and himself. Just soaking in a bathtub made with a combination of water magic and fire magic to warm it up is an incredible thought. Alicia quickly took off her dirty clothes and slid into the steaming water and let out a long sigh. "This is the best!"

After she finished taking a bath, she got dressed and then tidied up the bed and threw some of her clothes on it to make a bed before lying on it to sleep. Frey curled up beside Alicia's neck while Loeri slept over her head.

The next morning Frey wakes up first and pokes and pushes Alicia until she wakes up. "Mama breakfast!"

"Okay, hold on one, let me get up for a second." Alicia stretched out her hands and feet and yawned widely before making a small magic ball in her hand and passing it to Frey. Frey eagerly picked it up and started eating it right away. Seeing Frey's happy expression made Alicia smile. "Loeri, I'll cook food for us now."

"Give me five more minutes." murmured Loeri half-asleep before going back to sleep.

Alicia simply smiled and started working on cutting some horned wind python meat into pieces to make it easier to cook. Once they are ripe, they eat and prepare to leave. They are very close to the center of the forest. Alicia was surprised that they were almost there. It seemed, being chased by hordes of demonic beasts after hordes of demonic beasts had completely sped up their travel time.

When Alicia reopened the cave walls to the outside, she immediately closed them back down! "Umm... am I still sleeping?

"No, you're really up." Loeri.

"Then what I just saw was real or fake?" Alicia was confused, she was not sure whether what she had just seen was real or not.

"They're real..." Loeri replied once more.

"Why did you say it?" Loeri was confused as to why Alicia said such a thing.

"Because if I'm not mistaken, Mr. Berlin is the one who sent this demonic beast to attack me. That's the only explanation. When I first started everything was easy, so I think he decided that it wasn't hard enough and since then this should have been a practice, he increased the difficulty." Alicia recalled her training in the Berlin room and shivered. It wasn't an easy time.

Alicia pondered for a moment and decided the best way to do this was to cut her way. "Loeri when I open the door spit on the monster in the nearest part then I'll cut our way."

"Send me!" Loeri said proudly.

Frey chimed in asking: "Mother what should I do?"

"Frey you keep being sweet!" Alicia said as she rubbed Frey's head with her finger.

"okay!" Frey doesn't know what her mother means, but she agrees.

Alicia opened the entrance to the cave once more and Loeri started to work as a long stream of dragon breath gushed towards the demon monster. Some of them were quickly dodged while others who were not so lucky were burned. Alicia wrapped Frey up with her magic power and darted out of the cave with a sword in hand.

Twisting and twisting her body to dodge the many oncoming attacks, Alicia gracefully attacked with her sword killing all the lower star-level demonic beasts quickly. Those who would take time he ignored and avoided. He didn't want to be caught up in the battle like he had last night. This wave of demonic beasts seemed to be much larger than the others. Knowing this, Alicia decided it was best to run and fight.

Berlin watched from the side and was very satisfied with the way Alicia handled the situation. His movements grew smoother as he fought. He's starting to look like a veteran Knight. Only in this way could he survive his journey to the capital. He still had to pass one final test before he was truly ready. She knew this test would be the most difficult because she was a young girl. But with no choice, the cruelty of the outside world was much worse than the two men he had killed before. If he passed the next exam, he could leave it to travel alone on the way to the capital.
