I was silent for a while then looked at her, “They are engaged, so what else is there to doubt? They must have given their respective hearts, and now it depends on them whether they can keep the heart of their respective partners what not.”
Mas Reihan looked at me for a moment then nodded.
“What's wrong?” widy's question sounded curious and I looked back at the scene as Mas Reihan began to explain.
“Kekey said, women do not give their whole heart to men because it will only make women hurt when the man betrays him.”
“And don't trust men 100%.” Connect Risma.
“Otherwise the guy who is good at cocking and sweet words,” said I was a little sharp while drinking my iced kopyor.
“Luckily Mas Yudha is not.”
I almost spouted my ice cube when I heard Widy say.
“Mas Yudha not romantic?” ask Lulu.
“Mas Yudha.. yes rich gini, cool rarely talk, but this is the main attraction, make women curious.”
“Iya really, that cool guy did make us curious.”
I almost laughed at that, Lieutenant Cool? Rarely talk? Not romantic? Ckk. Widy doesn't know anything about the Lieutenant.
“I seem to have seen Mas Yudha, but forgot where ya?”
Erna tried to remember, I would love to tell her that a year ago she went viral in cyberspace. But over time the news began to be forgotten because after the incident the Lieutenant entered Kopassus training for 5 months, and I myself was busy with my PKL and script so never once of us who share photos of our togetherness in social media, and prefer to be enjoyed alone.
“You've known him a long time, Key, since he was rich in ginikan?"
I looked at Widy for a while and then smiled, “We rarely met, came home from Myanmar he was directly on duty in Palembang, continued training, continued duty in Jakarta, but I could have been wrong..he could have had two double personalities,” said I made the Lieutenant who was drinking choked to cough, while Mas Reihan laughed to hear me.
“You are really rich sister brother yes, fight mulu.”
“Mas Yudha equals Kekey sister brother?” kris asked in disbelief, as did the others who were now staring at me with wide eyes.
“Not, Yudha is an only child, and Kekey is like the adopted daughter of his parents Yudha.
“Oh... so Ma'am Kekey will be his sister-in-law Mba Widy dong?”
“Iya, and hopefully as soon as possible. We have decided we will speed up our wedding.”.
I had expected this to happen especially after finding out that Widy was pregnant, but still the news surprised me made me look directly at the Lieutenant with a look of disbelief, who was also looking at me with what eyes.
The news of the Lieutenant's accelerated marriage kept me quiet for the rest of our trip. When the afternoon began, everyone decided to look at the sunset in a place right where the name made me feel again tightness in the chest.
Almost the same as in Bandung, I can also see the view of the city of Yogya from above here. Sitting on a concrete bench that has been provided I can see the landscape of Merapi Merbabu mountain and aircraft that take off or landing at Adisucipto airport.
Wanting to be alone and enjoying the scenery made me separate myself from other friends who enjoy grilled corn and a cup of coffee in the stalls that are there.
The sky turned orange, making me even more hypnotized by the natural scenery, treating my heart as if it was again injured by news that I should have been able to predict. I felt someone sitting next to me, and that was the Lieutenant. I looked back to the front and tightened my cardingan, because my body suddenly felt cold.
We fell silent as if enjoying the magical natural scenery like other couples who were there. But we also know that our hearts and minds are currently not in good condition to be able to enjoy this natural landscape. Until I finally broke the silence.
“So that's why you married her? Because you owe him your life?”
The Lieutenant fell silent then nodded, “Iya,” he replied softly.
“And at that time you rarely contact me or reply to my messages is because you are taking care of him?”
He's back patting, “Iya.”
I was silent for a while trying to calm my heart which was already starting to craze.
“Why didn't you tell me back then? Why aren't you honest? Did you fall in love with her at first sight? As you often tell me?”
I asked with some emotion even though the sound coming out of my mouth was a whisper because I didn't want the others to hear what we were talking about.
“You don't want me to worry, but you decided on me for reasons that make me even more hurt... You are indeed great!”.
The lieutenant just silently listened to me.
“Tell me, what made you betray me? What's my fault actually.”
“I've told you, you're not wrong any this is all my fault.”
“The cliche reason (i smiled cynically) is not without reason you betrayed me.”
“I owe him my life.”
“Only because of that? Just because he saved your life, so you dare betray me?”
The lieutenant fell silent and simply nodded to answer my question.
“Then I don't know how many wives the doctors had to marry every patient he managed to save his life,” I said cynically, but he just kept silent saying nothing.
“You love him?”
He remained silent not answering.
“Do you love her?” I asked him again and he remained silent and did not answer.
“My jawab! Do you love her?” I asked again sharply and emotionally, making him look at me no less sharply.
“Iya! I have to love her! That's why I betrayed you, because I love her! Are you satisfied now!”
Now it was my turn to look at him with a wounded heart for the umpteenth time. Before I had prepared myself for the possibility of hearing this, but still hearing it straight from his mouth that he loved another woman made my heart feel stabbed, making a cold aura run through the entire body.
I turned my gaze back to the front where the sky was now dark, the city lights started to light up like flickers of stars, and the cold air stroked my face as if trying to calm down. Several times I inhaled fresh air trying to cool the heart, and disappeared the lump that made my throat feel hot and dry.
“Go, your fiance is waiting for you.. Now we are really over.” I said in a choked voice, eyes that were starting to blur and hearts that had been completely broken.
“Za..”
“Go!”
“I'm sorry!”
“Toooooooooooooooooooo! There is nothing I can forgive. You always say that you are the owner of my heart and I am the owner of your heart. But it turns out you have two hearts that you give to different women, while I? I only have one heart that I have given you entirely, but instead of guarding my heart, you break it to pieces to nothing! How can I forgive you if I no longer have a heart?”
I stared at him sharply and with anger, while he just silently looked at me with guilt, making me look back ahead.
“You go or I go!”
I could feel the weight but in the end he stood up and left but after walking two steps he stopped.
“Goodbye, Za.. be happy.”
Hearing that made me tighten the cardigan and hug my own body which started to tremble, my eyes blurred by tears that slowly started rolling, my throat getting hotter and choked. Back then on the Star Hill I cried myself in silence, releasing the true love of my life.
On the star hill, we say the word love.
On the star hill, we felt a hug and kiss for the first time.
On the star hill, we gave each other our hearts to look after.
And now on the star hill we end everything.
All the feelings that accompanied me grew into a person who once loved and loved without limits, made me learn about patience with waiting, made me learn about being an adult by letting go of love that is impossible to have, and… made me learn about the high meaning of loyalty.
