“Yudha.” Politely the Lieutenant greeted and introduced himself to my parents, mother smiled with sparkling eyes looking at me as if I had done something extraordinary, while Dad was still seen looking at her in full search.

“Thank you, Aunt, but it's another night just.”
“Other times when? Tomorrow to Jakarta, the day after the return to Palembang.” As usual sometimes I accidentally let out what was in my mind made him smile at me.

The four of us were still standing in front of the fence watching the Lieutenant get into his black Land Rover car, then waved before finally driving away leaving us still staring at his departure. Until finally the Lieutenant's car was completely out of sight and now everyone is looking at me with a smile on their face, except Dad of course. Dad just told me to come in and rest because I must be so tired.
“Tomorrow you must tell me everything,” whispered Mother with a wide smile making me nod before entering the bathroom to clean my body that felt sticky and thick by dust. After a warm bath, changing into a loose shirt and shorts, my body felt very fresh.
“Aaah!! Mattress miss you so much!” I jumped into my comfortable bed with a big smile, some time I rolled on the mattress enjoying the soft and tender feeling of the sheets that seemed to have just been replaced by Mom because I could still smell the fragrance that was still fresh. Maybe I'm tacky, but believe me five days of sleeping in a sleeping bag will make you appreciate the meaning of a thin foam mattress though.

I woke up and came out when I heard my father calling me.
“Eat first, Dirga has bought chicken pecel si Dul tuh.”

I immediately sat down under the TV, my back to the sofa where Dad and Dirga were sitting on top of it while mom was preparing food. Unlike other families, our family does not have hours to eat, we can eat whenever we want. A lot of times Dirga and I go to buy fried rice or fried noodles at night because they are hungry when the clock has shown the number 11, and we prefer to eat in front of the TV rather than sitting at the dining table in the dining room near the kitchen.
“So, he's your friend who entered Garuda's army?” Dad asked when we started eating, making me smile when I answered him.
“Iya.”
“His son is kind, polite again.”
I smiled again at my mother's words.
“But rich mom ever saw him, where ya?”
This time I pretended to smile at my mother's question. Aaah, her mother and her favorite gossip show, sooner or later it looks like she will find out about the Lieutenant and Leona's relationship. But I decided to tell Mom later if the problem was over.
