After prayer we play with the Kubu children while telling stories about ideals. Lessons are not just about writing reading and counting, but we also instill other lessons, such as about nature, the outside world, ideals and most importantly about morals and religion. And we do that while playing.
After a short lunch break and ashar prayer we went along with Mamak-Mamak and the children to the river to bathe, and take a bath, but like yesterday we prefer to bathe in the shower after previously just playing water sambiil sitting on a big river rock.
While bathing Mamak told me that once this sangai is not as shallow now, the water is clearer and the current is quite swift, the large stones used to only be seen on it because it was submerged in water, and they used to swim there using sarongs. But now the boro-boro can swim, at least just soak because the deepest river water is just above my knees, and now we can casually sit on the rock.
We returned to the settlement at around 5.30 pm along with the arrival of operational cars that were provided for the purposes during our stay there. I saw Fadhil, Leona, Marsya and a cameraman getting out of the car but what surprised me was that the Lieutenant got off the driver's side, which meant he went with them.
There was a bit of disappointment that I felt upon seeing that, but I tried to be ordinary by continuing to walk towards the house.
“Za!”
I stopped and saw the Lieutenant walking quickly towards me with both hands carrying something that after close I knew it was a sleeping bag.
“This! just now Fadhil and I borrowed it from the office.”
“Waah, sleeping bag! Ah finally we can sleep warmly later tonight, thanks a lot, Mas,” said Kak Yoan while taking a sleeping bag from the Lieutenant's hand, followed by other garden-friends with a big smile.
“Still.” I took my sleeping bag part, “Thank you also for the jacket,” I continued while walking away from it.
Last night somehow and who covered me in a big, warm army jacket. When dawn woke I saw my body was wrapped in a jacket warmly, I could tell it belonged to the Lieutenant because the name attached to his chest ‘Yudha Duke P’. For a while I hugged the jacket while smelling the Lieutenant's distinctive scent, the same scent I remembered when I was in Ciwidey, before I finally came out and attached it to the clothesline.
I am confused by my own feelings, on the one hand I still feel disappointed but on the other hand seeing him give small attention like this makes my feelings that have begun to be a little forgotten to grow back, but on the other hand, it makes me feel a little, but I also knew that feeling could not exist because now the Lieutenant belonged to Leona, who was watching us.
I entered the house with a strong dilemma. Actually the solution is already visible and I know it, I just have to forget about it and move on! But when talking about the heart, believe me it is not as easy as imagined and spoken.
After the magrib prayer I joined together with friends who were trying to make a bonfire. Do not equate magrib in Kubu with magrib in other cities, the atmosphere is already quiet and dark, small lights are lit from the homes of residents who have begun to rest. I think maybe because our existence alone at night here still feels crowded, but if later we have left then the atmosphere will be quiet again as before.
I sat next to Teh Vita, Kak Yoan, Veny and Yuni who were again eating the sandwiches Fadhil had bought when he came to town this afternoon. Soon after, he joined Leona, Marsya, Dony and Ben who brought snacks to join us.
“So the recording outside?”
“Iya, the story was we came out to buy some necessities to make here.” Leona answered the question Tea Vita.
“Rekaman reason doang even though dating,” said Ben made all laugh.
“Ah lo, sirik only if there is a chance do not waste.. pamali.” Leonna said make everyone laugh again except me.
“Tuh, Key, he said do not waste pamali, tomorrow we come out yuk?” take Ben who is sitting next to me, at a glance I look at him and then look back to the front. I love it as a fan, I love the sound and the songs are nothing more than that. So if he thinks I'm going to be easy to walk around just because I idolize him.
“Awas, Key, Ben again effort tuh!” dony laughed while laughing.
“Tomorrow is from Dinkes who come check the citizens of Kubu, so can not go anywhere.”
“Hahahaha.. Ben rejected.”.
“Bakal so this headlines.”
Everyone laughed except me. I was still cool to see the men setting up the campfire, actually what caught my attention the most was the man in a white shirt with dark blue jeans who was now looking at me sharply, making me stare at him confused. Why is he looking at me like that?
“Za!” he shouted out loud enough for our distance of only a few meters, making the people sitting with me stare at him.
I just raised an eyebrow in return.
“Bikinin coffee.” He looked around as if he was counting, “15!”
“Hah?!” that's all that came out of my mouth confused, why did he suddenly ask for coffee?
“Bikinin coffee 15, spout!”
I was wasting an annoyed breath while standing up, “What coffee maker thought!” I grumbled as I walked closer to him. To be honest, tonight I really just want to sit back, talk to my friends without having to do anything.
“What?” I asked again with a pouting face.
“Bikinin coffee 15.”
“Make who?”
“But they didn't ask.”
“On want coffee?” the Lieutenant asked Agus, Mas Juna and the others who immediately replied eagerly.
“Tuh they want coffee he said.”
I took a deep breath while looking around, we were currently standing face to face like the spectacle of the people sitting with me.
“But they're just.” My eyes go around counting the men who haven't managed to light a bonfire, “6 people.”
“Others will join later.”
“Ya has made it later means.”
“Why not now?”
“Because there is no hot water.”
“Ya now cook the hot water first.”
“The fire is not yet on.”
The Lieutenant looked towards the unburned bonfire.
“Kan has a stove Fadhil.”
“Kan cook the water a lot.”
“So?”
“So.. yes cook the water should use a big pot.”.
“Terus?”
“Terus.. his stove Fadhil will not be strong, continue to be broken, continue later Fadhil angry ask for a change.”
“The stove is strong, Key, take it easy,” Fadhil said with a relaxed smile. Aah, Fadhil can't take this once you're not that good?
“Tuh the stove is strong said Fadhil, if it breaks later I change.”
I rolled my eyeballs because there was no longer any reason for me to refuse to make him coffee. With still pouting I walked over preparing to cook the water.
“Za!”
“What else?!” I answered without stopping my steps.
“Panci equals water here.”
I stopped my steps while breathing heavily, I turned back around still with a frown.
“Know!” answer me with jutek.
“Where were you going?”
“Nyari ojek want to go home!”
“Hahahaha.”
His laughter that night really pissed me off to the point that stomping his feet as hard as he passed by made him grimace in pain.
“Sorry by accident,” I said with an innocent smile and now it was his turn to look at me sharply.
Aaah for this time I really enjoyed the taste of revenge.
