My Bow to the Destiny of Love

My Bow to the Destiny of Love
Don't like to rush

Two months later...

That day Ardian went to work after performing dawn prayers. Two hours ahead of schedule.

"Are you sure you want to go now, Mom? You just got back from the mosque."

"I have an important meeting, honey." Ardian replied while checking the contents of his briefcase. He had to double-check the contents of the bag his wife had prepared last night. I fear that someone will be left behind. "Everything I wrote on that paper did you put it all in the bag?"

"Well, my. Is there anything less?" Chayra looked at the bag her husband was checking.

"I'm just checking, honey. I fear that someone will be left behind. This meeting is really important."

"I'm sure I've put it all in, Mom."

"Yes, honey, yes." replied Ardian again without looking at his wife. His hands were still busy tidying up the bag he had just broken into. Ardian got up after finishing while breathing a sigh of relief. "Oh yes, Chay. There's something I want to talk to you about, but then by now, when I get home from work. Hopefully I can get home soon."

Chayra looked at her husband for a while before finally throwing a rough breath. "Yes, Mom..."

"I won't eat breakfast at home either. Just get it ready in the box, I'll have breakfast at the office."

"Yes, Mom..." Chayra shook her head slowly looking at her husband who was walking around like a hasty person. Finally she left Ardian to the kitchen to prepare breakfast in accordance with her husband's request.

Ardian was down five minutes after Chayra. He hurriedly approached his wife. "Is everything ready, honey?"

"Yes..."

Ardian looked at his wife. "M.. What's wrong?"

"Don't be in a hurry, Mum! You're like someone else knows that?!"

Ardian gulped, his eyes flashing several times trying to digest the intent from his wife's words. "Mmmm...."

Chayra recited the istighfar as she approached her husband. Patting her husband's shoulder slowly. "The rush is not good, Mas. I'm glad you got this contract. I admit you're diligent at work, Mas. But I don't like you to get like this. You're enslaved by work."

Ardian rubbed his face violently. His mouth seemed to be muttering istighfar. "M. sorry, dear." Slowly raised his face and looked back at his wife.

"Quiet, Mas. The job does require perseverance, but it does not have to make you like an enslaved person. That governs your work, not the work that governs you."

"I. yeah, honey, I'm sorry."

Chayra smiled at her husband. He grabbed the box he had prepared for Ardian. "This is your stock. Don't rush. That rush will not make your job done, Mas. What you do is wrong later."

"Yes, honey.I'm sorry, God willing I won't repeat this again." Ardian hugged his wife. "Thank you for warning me, honey." Ardian let go of his embrace and cupped his wife's cheek. He looked at the woman with admiration. "This is what makes me love you more. You always lead me to goodness."

Chayra lowered Ardian's hand slowly. "We should have reminded each other, Mom. We're a couple's husband and wife." Chayra looked down because she couldn't bear to see her husband's gaze. "You're leaving now, yeah. Just bring the car, don't speed."

"Yes, dear.wish me that I may give my best to the Company."

"I've always prayed for goodness for you, Mom."

Ardian smiled. "I'm leaving, assalamu'aliakum.."

"Wa'alikalix.." Chayra stared at her husband's departure with a fluffy smile. He turned around after seeing Ardian's car coming out of the gate of the house.

"Astagfirullahal.. Aunt... Why is Bi Idah here?!" Chayra felt her chest as she felt her heart beat stronger.

"Ehehe... Non. Mm. no, Non. Aunt was in the kitchen. But, hearing the conversation of Non Ayra and Mr. Ardian, Auntie became a kepo." Bi Idah smiled shyly. "But Aunty didn't feel guilty anyway, Non. Aunty even felt like she was watching a drama, like in that soap opera, Non."

Chayra finally could only shake her head slowly. Somehow Bi Idah often eavesdropped on his conversation with Ardian. Sometimes even Bi Idah peeked at the scene he did with Ardian several times. Like hugging, staring, even kissing. When Chayra asks, Idah will smile while **************** his finger.

"I'll go to the room for a second, Bi. Wanna see Adzra's up yet."

"Yes, Non. please.."

*********

That night, Ardian came home after nine p.m. Disappeared after the dawn prayer and returned after the Isha prayer.

Chayra, who was standing by the window of her room, rushed down the stairs after seeing her husband's car enter the gate.

Ardian smiled as he handed Chayra his briefcase. He pulled his wife's head slowly and landed a kiss on her forehead. "I'm gonna take a shower for a second, I'm sticky."

"Yes, Mas. I've prepared warm water for you to take a shower. That was, kind of hot. But I intentionally. If the temperature is right now. I've also poured in a little aromatherapy."

Ardian stopped his steps while looking at Chayra. His lips returned to smile. "That's perfect, honey?"

"You're tired, Mas. Don't praise me any longer. How about if I fly because of your praise." They climbed the stairs with their hands tied together.

"I'll prepare a change of clothes first while you take a shower. Praying, right, Mas?"

Ardian nodded. His eyes continued to stare at the activity of his wife who undressed his clothes and shoes. Not one bit Chayra felt the prestige to take off her husband's shoes. This made Ardian's admiration increased to his wife. "Why did you have to get here, Chay? I can do it myself. I know you're tired at home, too. Staying at home does not mean you are not tired. Housewife's job is the hardest, Chay."

"You're taking a shower now, Mom. We'll talk about that later. You want to say something too, right?"

Ardian breathed a heavy sigh. "Alright." he replied weakly as he got up.

___________

Chayra sat leaning against her husband's chest. "What do you want to say, Mom? I couldn't sleep because I thought about what you said."

"So you don't take a nap dong."

"I lie down, but my eyes cannot be closed."

"I just want to say, the day after Adzra will be two years old. You better stop giving it to ASI. Recommendations give breast milk until the baby is two years old."

Chayra held up her sitting position. "I also thought about it from yesterday. But, I haven't had a chance to talk about it with you, Mas. I'll try it out from tomorrow morning."

********

Chayra grimaced as she felt pain in her chest. Today he decided to stop giving ASI to Adzra. The boy is two years old. Inevitably, he had to stop drinking ASI. The phone is still stuck in his ear. But there was no response from Ardian. She tried to contact her husband twice. But, it seemed that Ardian was still busy so as not to answer his call.

Later in the evening Adzra's birthday celebration will be held at the house of Miss Santi. Ardian promised to go home early. But, the increasingly excruciating pain made Chayra not strong.

Chayra finally tried to contact Alesha. Wanted to contact Bian, but it was certain that his sister was at school.

"Assalamu'alaikum.. What's wrong, Ayra..?"

Chayra breathed a sigh of relief after hearing the reply from the sebrang. "Wa'alaikumsalam, what are you doing, Sha?"

"Nothing, what's up?"

"Can you come in here for a second? I also want to ask for help, buy some painkillers."

"What pain are you? Your whistling?"

"Eh, no, Sha. Bareback, anu. mm.. Adzra will stop mimicry because he is two years old. So now p**d**a I'm really sick, Sha. Sore than a boil like this." Chayra was back grimacing.

"Well, is it true that if a child stops mimic p*****a we are sick?"

"Yes, it hurts. That's why you're buying the medicine now."

"Where's adzra now?"

"Udah was taken to Mom's house, Sha."

"But you can come to celebrate your child's birthday."

"Yes, but you delivered the medicine first."

"Why not ask Bi Idah to go faster?"

"Bi Idah is being paid to Mom's house."

"I'll drop you off. But don't force me to hurry. You know for yourself that I don't like to be hasty."

"Hmmm...."
