The main campus of UII which presents a beautiful view of Mount Merapi is slowly deserted, one by one students leave the campus after finishing classes. There are only a few students who do organizational activities still around the campus.
Levin just came out of the laboratory, while walking he took off the white robe he wore during his practicum. His pair of eyes narrowed when the daylight hit his face. His white skin seemed to sparkle when the famous reflection of sunlight.
"Khalisa!" Levin spontaneously exclaimed to see Khalisa not far in front of him, the white-browed girl stopped her steps and turned her head. Levin half ran over to Khalisa.
"Ko Levin just got out?" Sapa Khalisa's.
"Yes, I heard Ama Renata came here"
"Yes the same Ai as well, Koko went straight home?"
"I'm going to the mosque first, the other children are practicing qiraah to prepare for the MTQ race."
They stepped casually through the road to the left right there are sapodilla trees and dates so it is not too hot even though the sun is very hot.
Khalisa thinks that if students who want to follow MTQ do exercises together, it means that Azfan is also there. Incidentally since this morning Khalisa looking for the existence of Azfan just that the vast UII campus makes it difficult to find the guy.
"Khalisa want to come?" Ask Levin.
"Can." Khalisa nodded, and he met Azfan there.
Levin smiled broadly at that. Last year Levin was in the race so he was asked to share his experience with other students who want to participate this year.
Arriving at the mosque there were several students present including Azfan who from earlier Khalisa search.
"Assalamualaikum, can I join you?" Khalisa said hello to everyone.
Hearing that voice Azfan automatically looked up, right it was Khalisa.
"Mosur." Answer them in unison, "maybe please." They were happy to allow Khalisa to join.
"Khalisa's in the race too?" Ask Syifa.
"No, I just want to see the exercise." Khalisa answered while sitting on a brown carpet joining other students.
"Well that's one of our trainers coming." Syifa looked towards the door.
"Who?" Khalisa followed Syifa's point of view, an athletic man with thick eyebrows and eyelashes and high nasal bones entering the mosque. From his face it was seen that the man was of Arab descent.
"His name is Fawas the son of a religious lecturer." Bisik Syifa thought that it was possible that Khalisa wanted to know the identity of the man.
"What religion?" Khalisa turned to Syifa after the man named Fawas sat in front of him.
"Islamic religion is what else?"
Khalisa chuckles to realize his own stupidity because Fawas has a face of Arab descent then of course he is a Muslim.
"Oh son of Mr. Hussein."
"Tell, it's handsome." Syifa whispered again.
Not looking at Fawas, Khalisa actually focused on Azfan who saw him. They looked at each other and smiled and looked down at the same time. They control themselves not to look too long.
"Flat." Lirih Khalisa's.
"It's really not."
"Huh?" Khalisa gawked and then grinned because it seemed like they were talking about two different people.
Fawas opened the meeting that afternoon, Hasan and several students who had participated in the MTQ race also sat in front of it including Levin.
Fawas' melodious voice filled the mosque as he read Al-Kahfi's letter verse 10 in a beautiful rhythm to set an example to other students.
Khalisa rubbed his arm that felt cold because he was creepy to hear the chant of the Quran.
"It sounds so good." Praise Syifa.
"Your voice is good too." Khalisa smiled at the law student. "That's why Brother Hasan pointed at you."
"You're the best at praising people." Syifa patted Khalisa's thigh.
A little later Azfan apologized and permission to go home first because he had to work. Actually Azfan really wanted to follow the exercise to completion but he also could not skip work let alone he included just working at that place.
"I'll go first." Pamit Khalisa on Syifa.
"Where?" Syifa saw Khalisa walking quickly out of the mosque so he could not answer his question.
Levin was surprised to see Khalisa leave so quickly when he just said he wanted to follow the training.
"Azfan!" Call Khalisa, he half ran after Azfan who was far enough away when the guy just came out of the mosque.
Azfan turned to see Khalisa running towards him, he wanted to say that Khalisa did not need to run because he also must be patient waiting for the girl to get to his place.
Khalisa's cheeks were flushed red by the heat of the sun, he protected his eyes with one hand due to the glare.
Azfan moved to Khalisa's left side to protect the girl from the sun, "why Khalisa?" Ask her.
Khalisa unzipped his backpack and pulled out a black box from inside the backpack.
"Hope you haven't bought a new phone." Khalisa presented the box containing the phone to Azfan.
Azfan did not want to accept the box because whatever the reason he was not entitled to receive anything from Khalisa let alone expensive items such as mobile phones.
"I see a lot of mobile phones in Rindang's apartment because he can often endorse several brands of mobile phones so I ask one of them to be unused, especially since I hp you fell and broke."
Azfan saw Khalisa hesitating even though he did not find a lie on the girl's face.
"I'm not lying, I saw that hp was idle since weeks ago at the table Rindang, I'm sure in your hands hp this is more useful."
Azfan was still reluctant to accept the phone that was still complete with his box, he could read the brand of the phone written on one side of his box. That also includes those phones that are quite expensive to people like him.
"Just use it first if you want to buy a new one, this hp can be put only."
With a hesitant movement Azfan received the phone because he also could not let Khalisa's hand idle too long in the air.
"You can check that it's not a new phone so you don't have to feel burdened."
"Thank you Khalisa, give my thanks also to Rindang."
Khalisa nodded, "Rindang must be cool because eventually this phone can be useful."
"Khalisa, geez, I'm looking everywhere you're here."
Azfan and Khalisa's attention was shifted to the figure of the girl who rode a motorcycle and stopped not far from them. It was Huma who was grumbling because he did not immediately find Khalisa when they were in the same class.
"I first yeah, hunt that ranting Humaira again." Khalisa waved at Azfan before approaching Huma and getting on the bike.
"Then Khalisa." Azfan half-cried waving at Khalisa. It was Khalisa's habit of waving and Azfan mimicking it.
Khalisa turned his head and smiled before Huma's motorbike took him further towards the main gate of the campus.
******
Azfan looked at the box that read one of the mobile phone brands, he had not opened it since last afternoon because he immediately went to work. Now Azfan only had a lot of time to open it after completing the prayers of the Isha' and the Quran recitation.
"It looks like new." Azfan murmured after taking out that black flat object.
Azfan grabbed his old phone that had broken everywhere to move his card to Khalisa's mobile phone.
"Alhamdulillah." Azfan said because the sustenance was unexpected. At least Azfan did not need to break his piggy bank to buy a new phone so that he could use the money for other purposes.
"Khalisa's photo?" Azfan frowned looking at one of the photos in the gallery, it was a photo of Khalisa while eating. Surely Rindang took the photo without Khalisa's knowledge.
"Pretty." Azfan muttered unknowingly, but he immediately deleted the photo because he should not have seen the photo of Khalisa without permission.
Azfan put two phones that look very much different, his old phone is out of shape while Rindang's phone is still smooth without blisters. Suddenly Azfan felt that it resembled him to Khalisa. Azfan should not have feelings for Khalisa who has everything. Azfan will always have the feeling of being inappropriate for Khalisa because their world is indeed different.
"Don't feel special Azfan, he just pity you." Azfan warned himself, because of Khalisa's generosity he felt special when not at all. Khalisa is good to everyone.
"What do you have?" Azfan stared at his old phone, "even for training you can't because you have to work, you're too inappropriate for the perfect Khalisa."
