"God, my wife is beautiful." Azfan was stunned to see Khalisa wearing a kebaya with a batik skirt motif Kangkung Settingles—batik traditional Banyuwangi who has a philosophy of harmony and unity. "The clothes that Umma makes never fail." Khalisa sewed his own kebaya with brocade combined with blue satin.
Not only for himself, Khalisa also made clothes for his parents and in-laws who will be present today. Khalisa could not give anything to repay their kindness other than trying to be a good son and daughter-in-law, of course it was nothing with the kindness of his mother who had given birth and cared for him or his father who had educated him until now. Khalisa was also unable to repay the services of his in-laws who had given birth to extraordinary children like Azfan.
"So Abi would like to praise my beauty, my clothes or my ability to sew cloth?" Khalisa walked over, Azfan was also ready to wear a black suit. Khalisa held the tie he wanted to attach to Azfan. Khalisa used to see his mama pair a tie to his papa. Now Khalisa will practice his observations on Azfan. Khalisa has also watched several times how to put a tie video to make sure again.
"How is this, all that is in Umma is praiseworthy." Azfan rubbed Khalisa's reddish cheeks, this time not because of exposure to sunlight but Khalisa applied blush on both cheeks. "Umma is also good at putting on makeup."
"Don't you want to make red cheeks?" Khalisa looked at Azfan with a seductive look.
"Hm?" Azfan frowned, "i don't want to wear make-up either."
"Not with make-up?"
"Then?"
"With this." Khalisa tiptoe kissed Azfan's lips and then continued to put a tie.
Azfan was fixated feeling a strange sigh in his nape and face at the same time.
Khalisa smiled, "look, I made it." His words looked at Azfan's face that began to turn red to the ears. Azfan was always like that when nervous and blushed. Azfan is really adorable. "Udah." Khalisa rubbed Azfan's shoulder twice after he finished putting on the tie.
"Umma is good at everything."
Khalisa chuckled, "thank you for the compliment, I used to see Mama when putting a tie for Papa."
"Because I don't work in an office like Papa, so Umma can't do this every day."
"That's why I deliberately spend time on these pairs."
"Umma wants me to work in an office like Papa?"
"Hm?"
"Let Umma wear a tie for me every day?"
Khalisa shook his head, "I see Papa always coming home with a tired face like doing his job half-heartedly, otherwise Papa will smile and laugh freely when with animals."
"Papa is a veterinarian." Azfan smoothed Khalisa's snail when there was a strand of hair dangling from it. Azfan hopes Khalisa is happy with his choice. For Azfan, Khalisa's happiness is paramount. "I heard that the animal that bit Papa was not a cat but a dog but why Umma was a cat phobia?" Azfan asked carefully.
Khalisa seemed to be looking for answers within himself.
"If it is difficult, it is not answered." Azfan doesn't want Khalisa to remember something that traumatized him.
Khalisa sat on the sofa with a glass window before answering Azfan's question.
"Maybe because I've seen Papa bitten by a cat, Papa's hands are swollen and at night he has a fever, all night Mama was awake for fear that Papa almost lost his life over and over again but eventually Papa recovered quickly." Khalisa smiled but his eyes glazed over the incident, "that's why I kept thinking that the cat made Papa sick and over time I was afraid of the cat too much."
"I'm sorry that Umma had to tell me this." Azfan rubbed Khalisa's palm that was soaked with sweat.
"Mama has a special place to accommodate wild cats that initially are not managed, only I who never come if Mama goes there while Zunaira and Azmal most seneng long in that place." Khalisa smiled, he is much better now.
The bell of the house tinkled stealing their attention. Khalisa glanced at Azka to make sure the bell didn't wake the child.
"Let me open." Azfan immediately went out of the room to open the door, who was the one who was visiting this early in the morning.
When Azfan opened the door he saw a bouquet of flowers right in front of his face. Azfan looked down, from the shape of his hand he could guess who was carrying the bouquet.
"Cafa."
"It's for Cece, I can't come to college because there's business." Kafa handed the bouquet to Azfan. "It's so heavy."
"It's heavy this time."
"Weight as a living burden." As for Kafa, he reached into his jacket pocket to take out a black box with the name of one of the watch brands. "It's a gift for me."
"I got one too?" Azfan received the box, he wanted to open it but his other hand was holding the bouquet.
"Dapet dong, thank you Mas Azfan for working hard and graduating from college, thank you for taking care of my Cece, may you live a peaceful and happy life." Kafa imitates Jaya's words while praying for her and Mahira on their wedding day.
"Living peacefully?" Azfan tilted his head, "the world is not a peaceful place."
"Don't take it seriously." Kafa flicked his hand, "i just cheated Akong's words, eh Mas wear lipstick huh?" He frowned in wonder at the lipstick stains on Azfan's lips.
"No." Azfan reflexes close his lips, surely Khalisa lipstick stains left on his lips due to the kiss. "Let's go in." Bring along.
Kafa held a smile, he could guess what Azfan and Khalisa were doing before he came. Now Kafa also understood why Azfan several times greeted him with a reddened face. Kafa used to be unaware of that but after marriage he began to understand. Kafa felt guilty for coming suddenly back then. But this morning Kafa came suddenly again, he should have told Khalisa before coming.
"Cafa." Khalisa's coming down the stairs, "what did you bring?"
"I brought flowers for Cece, there's Ce Khalisa's favorite Peony."
"Great bouquet, thank you." Khalisa was about to take over the bouquet but Azfan prevented it.
"It's heavy." Azfan put it on the table near the stairs.
Khalisa inhaled the scent of the flower bouquet deeply, the scent of Peony has always stood out the most among the other flowers. Khalisa will put it in the room later.
"This what?" Khalisa saw a black box in Azfan's hand.
"Sorry, give me a gift too."
"Oh yeah?" Khalisa opened the box, "wow great, I used it." He took out the metallic black watch from his box and wrapped it around Azfan's left hand. "Why breakfast not yet, we have breakfast here."
"I had breakfast, Mahira made fried rice." Kafa sat cross-legged on the red carpet that stretched throughout the room. Since the second day of marriage until now Kafa always asked to be made fried rice. Until almost 1 month Kafa is not bored with fried rice because Mahira changes the filling every day, sometimes sausages, chicken, eggs and various ingredients in the refrigerator.
"God has a wife, somebody is sure." Azfan sat in front of Kafa.
Kafa smiled got the question, "not only that Mas, although sometimes complicated but—punya wife tuh not only provide happiness but like there is a new color in our lives, but also a new color in our lives, at first my life was black and white and then Mahira added green, red, orange, yellow as a rainbow."
Azfan laughed, agreeing with Kafa's words. His originally quiet world is now crowded because there is Khalisa. Although sometimes it is too crowded and makes Azfan uncomfortable but Khalisa has changed his life better.
"Where's azka?"
"There's upstairs, sleep."
Khalisa brought two cans of cold drink to Kafa and Azfan.
"This is batik kale setingkes huh?" Kafa noticed the skirt that Khalisa was wearing.
"Yes, you still want the same traditional Banyuwangi batik motifs?" Khalisa sat down to join Azfan and Kafa.
"Inget it, it's the Osing Base material of SD time." Kafa told me that his memory is brilliant. It seems like Jaya Alindra's grandchildren are given a good memory from birth. "I'll go back first." Kafa snatches the can to bring it home, he does not want to make Mahira wait too long.
"A lot of hurry." Khalisa is moving.
"Now I have a wife so I don't want to go long." Ledek Azfan's.
"Bye!" Kafa waved his hand without turning to ignore Azfan's taunts.
"Thank you for the gift." Khalisa once again before Kafa enters the car, he again closes the door after Kafa's car leaves the yard. "Why Bi?" Khalisa saw Azfan rubbing his lips.
"Why say there's a lipstick stain, isn't there?"
"Nothing is." Khalisa shook his head, "oh no-don't because I just kissed Abi."
"Dear, I can't wear lipstick, right?"
Khalisa grinned at his carelessness, "the next time I'm going to wear a transferproof lipstick."
"What's that?"
"Lipstick that won't stick anywhere, stay on the lips."
"Where can anyone be like that, only I can stay on your lips."
Khalisa's eyes rounded and then two seconds later he laughed, "there's no Abi."
"I'm serious, baby." Azfan's face did not show that he was joking at all.
"OK on okay." Khalisa finally asserted Azfan's words rather than them debating the unimportant "again my whole body is yours."
Finally Azfan smiled, he took Khalisa back to the room. They should not leave Azka in the room alone for too long.
"Eh Umma's son is awake!" Khalisa was surprised to see Azka sitting on his pillow. Azka did not cry when she woke up from her sleep, which is why Khalisa was worried about leaving Azka for too long. It seems after this Azka can already get off her own box.
"Let Azka come to Mama's college." Khalisa raised Azka and kissed her face many times. "You smell so sweet."
"Azka look, Umma very pretty huh?" Azfan tidied up Azka's messy hair when she just woke up.
"So cute too."
Azka laughed out loud at Khalisa and Azfan. His pair of eyes were twinkling, round eyes that looked very much like Daniel.
"Time passes very quickly." Azfan sat in a chair near Baby Tafel looking at Khalisa and Azka.
"It's our happy day, Bi but it's a pity Rindang can't come even though I hope the people closest to us come."
"Why can't Rindang come?"
"Maybe he's busy, he's planning his wedding."
"Umma will be there later?"
"Maybe?" Khalisa tilted his head waiting for Azfan to answer.
"Byeah, I'm keeping Azka here." Azfan rubbed Azka's arm and pinched her cheek slowly.
