Mahabbah Love Khalisa

Mahabbah Love Khalisa
171

I will endeavour in earnest so that I am not affected by religious, national, ethnic, gender, political, social position and disease considerations in fulfilling obligations to patients.

I solemnly pledge this oath and risk my self-respect.

The sacred rite of vows was echoed by 62 new doctors of the Islamic University of Indonesia. By holding the holy mushaf they made the doctor's oath. The real struggle will begin soon.

Kafa lowered his head in holding back the tears with all his might even if it was free. Her tears did not need permission to shed soaked her cheeks and fell on the mushaf in her arms.

This title is for Akong, Kafa promises will never disappoint Akong.

When you grow up, Kafa has to be a great doctor.

Why Akong?

Doctors are noble work, they save many human lives.

Kafa begins to sob in light of the conversation he had with Jaya when he was 5 years old.

Kafa doesn't understand why he and Khalisa got a hospital gift. At that time they only knew that getting a gift was something fun. They ran along the corridor of the hospital when they first visited the building.

After growing up they finally understand that sometimes gifts are not always fun. They have to bear a great responsibility. But one thing Kafa understands is that gifts are always beneficial.

"Why isn't Akong waiting for Kafa? just for a second." Kafa murmured in the middle of his sobs. Kafa should be happy because all the time and energy he has spent has finally paid off. Six years of education, koas, internship Kafa has been through. Jaya should have seen Kafa wearing his doctor's robe. But man may plan, but Allah determines everything.

Last night Kafa got word that Jaya was dead. Kafa was so devastated to hear it because in the morning he was still talking to his Akong over the phone. Kafa believes Jaya is in good health as they speak for the last time.

Jaya was suddenly found dead in the garden behind the house by Umar.

Kafa wanted to go home that night as well but today he had to undergo a procession of doctor's oaths.

How can Kafa be happy if the person who motivated him the most to become a doctor is gone.

Kafa will enter FK, let Cece in FMIPA.

You certain?

Yeah Kong, Kafa knows Cece's dream isn't to be a doctor.

Then what's your dream?

Akong.

Akong is proud of you.

Since childhood Kafa is closer to Jaya while Khalisa is closer to Renata. Perhaps because both men, Jaya better understands Kafa's feelings.

Kafa steps when exiting the building, it feels like he is unable to stand on two legs. He looked down at the shiny black pantofel shoes that wrapped his feet. No pleasant farewell. Kafa regretted not being beside Jaya in his last moments.

"Father!"

The voice made Kafa raise his face, he faintly smiled seeing Zulaikha running limping towards him.

Kafa raised Zulaikha's tiny body high and kissed the princess' cheeks affectionately.

"Good Pa." Mahira smiled at Kafa, rubbed her husband's arm and hugged him.

Kafa could not smile on his happy day but after seeing Mahira and Zulaikha, he felt a little comforted.

"You have made Akong's dream come true." Lirih Mahira's.

"Thank you Mahira." Kafa returned Mahira's embrace with one hand as his other hand held Zulaikha's body. "Thank you my wife, Mama Zulaikha."

Mahira unravels a hug looking at Kafa's face, she never saw the husband's face so sad like this. It did not look like Kafa who always put on a fierce face with eerie eagle eyes. Kafa looked weak and shattered even though his clothes today made him look gallant.

"Thank you for accompanying me to this day."

"I'll see you later, too." Mahira cupped Kafa in the face, he could not see Kafa like this.

Kafa hugs Mahira again, during the hospital stay he always comes home at night and leaves early in the morning. Mahira has to keep Zulaikha alone because Kafa has a very busy schedule. Sometimes Kafa can't go home. But Mahira is always patient, he understands the process to be a doctor is not easy.

At some point Mahira felt tired and wanted to be angry because Kafa was not there beside her especially when Zulaikha was fussy or sick. But Mahira tried to suppress his anger, he could have called Kafa and nagged but it was useless. Mahira knows this is also hard for Kafa.

Alindra's helicopter landed in front of the doctor's inauguration building to pick up Kafa and Mahira and Zulaikha to Banyuwangi to shorten the time.

Jaya will be buried today in the same cemetery as Renata.

"Feed Pa first." Mahira was about to vaporize a piece of bread on Kafa because this morning the husband did not have time to eat breakfast.

Kafa shook his head, his mouth was tightly closed, he had no appetite now. Kafa just wants to get home soon to see Jaya one last time.

"Pa, you have to eat." Rayu Mahira while looking at the pale face of Kafa. "A little bit."

"Later on."

"Zulaikha, this naughty Papa doesn't want to eat." Mahira uses the last weapon to seduce Kafa.

"Papa must eat." Zulaikha said that in the lap of Kafa is not too clear, he is not too fluent to talk.

Kafa had no choice but to welcome a piece of bread from Mahira. He chewed the cheese bread with a force. The cafa has no energy to chew.

Mahira clasped Kafa's cold hands, not knowing how to comfort her husband at a time like this. Mahira always had a thousand ways to make Kafa smile and laugh but not now.

Kafa nanar's view when his feet set foot on the street of Jaya's house which also became his residence before college. He couldn't believe Jaya had died, it was too sudden. Even Jay had not been sick before.

"Cafa."

Kafa blinked his eyes making a drop of clear crystal fall past his cheek, he saw Khalisa standing before him— with a pale white face and puffy eyes. No, Khalisa's skin is pale white but this time much paler than usual.

"Ce." Kafa slammed into Khalisa's arms, unable to pretend to be as strong as he usually does. Kafa has always been the strongest and can be everything but today he is the weak and helpless Kafa.

"You have done your best, you have made Akong happy in his last moments, Akong must be proud of you, Kafa."

Kafa's hug came off, he almost fell down if Azfan didn't hold his body. Azfan took Kafa into the house.

Tears Kafa again spread to see the chest located in the middle of the living room, he wanted to immediately see his Akong but at the same time he could not do it.

"Neck." Kafa's cry broke out seeing his Akong lying stiffly on top of the crate. Kafa rubbed Jaya's face slowly as if he wanted to remember each part clearly. "Akong wants Kafa to be a doctor, now Kafa has made it happen."

Aisha hurried to embrace Kafa and rubbed the back of the eldest son. He was also devastated by the loss of his only remaining parent.

Since childhood Kafa was taught by Ummi and his Abi that every living being would die, every encounter there must be a separation. Kafa was taught how to be sincere but it turned out to be the most difficult thing in the world.

"Ummi, why didn't Akong wait for Kafa for a moment?" Kafa looked at Aisha with tears.

Aisha could not answer Kafa's questions, she could do nothing but embrace Kafa.

Kafa took off Aisyah's embrace and returned to look at Jaya, "Akong, Kafa promised never to fight again with Cece." Jaya always scolded him when he was ignorant of Khalisa even to adulthood Kafa hobby looking for because of Khalisa. "Kafa promises to take good care of Fatah and Fatimah as well as Azmal and Zunaira."

"Why, we're family, we'll take care of each other." Khalisa tried to comfort Kafa, his tears had dried up from crying all night until this morning.

The blowing wind wiggled frangipani and cempaka trees. The cemetery is located on a hill. The sound of waves chasing is also heard plus birds chirping. Although it has a beautiful view but it is not a pleasant place. It is the final resting place for humans.

Jaya is buried right next to the Renata Pusara. Previously Jaya had purchased two burial grounds at once for herself and Renata.

"Papa will always be with Mama even though he is no longer in the world because maybe you and Daniel will never meet us again in another world, your path is different."

Aisyah stared at Jaya's chest which slowly descended into the burrow. His conversation with Jaya flashed again. The deepest sorrow is when Aisha cannot take a loved one to the same path as her. Aisyah and Umar can provide hundreds of words of motivation for Muslim brothers who are in the Mualaf community of Daniel. Aisyah was filled with the deepest regret of not being able to do that to her papa and her mama. Aisyah hid behind the words that they had their own path. They should appreciate the difference.

"Splash flowers for Papa." Daniel thrust a basket of rose petals on Aisha. "Sir Atalie," Daniel touched Ayesha's arm.

Aisyah finally raised her face to see Daniel who was so fragile, she spread her arms and hugged the sister.

"We haven't been a good boy to Papa and Mama." Lirih Aisyah with a stammering voice.

"Prophe Brother." Daniel tried to stay strong even if it was free. "Son Atalie must be strong."

Aisyah nodded a few times then broke down the embrace to sow flowers on top of her papa navel.

Khalisa crouched rubbing photos of Jaya who looks dashing. This is a photo taken about 10 years ago. Khalisa remembered that Daniel and Aisyah were upset that Jaya had prepared the photo as if she was ready to die. But it turns out Renata precedes Jaya.

"For if we live, we live for God, and if we die, we die for God. Whether we live or die, we belong to God." A Father who presided over the funeral recited a Bible quote to comfort the family he left behind.

"I will read the will of Mr. Jaya Alindra." A man in a suit stood in front of the entire Jaya Alindra family gathered in the living room. He is the lawyer of the Alindra family who has become Jaya's trust.

Jaya prepared the will after Khalisa's birth. He decided to retire and spend more time with his grandson. The birth of Khalisa brings happiness to the whole family.

But after Khalisa and Kafa got married, Jaya made some changes to the will.

"Alindra Grub and headquarters will be under the leadership of Daniel Alindra as a boy. Alindra Mall Banyuwangi awarded to Atalie Alindra. Jinggo Hotel for Zaidan Umar Kahfi, Jinggo Resort is given to Alisha Sabiya Nadifah."

"Alindra Beauty for Khalisa Syanin Alindra, Kafasa Hospital awarded to Athaillah Kafa Alindra, Alindra Carnival for Azmal Rahesya Alindra and Zunaira Alindra, Alindra Mall Jember for Fatah Alindra and Fatimah Alindra, Alindra, Alindra Tour for Azfan Khuffa Ameezan, Alindra Mall Yogyakarta for Mahira Atiqah."

The lawyer explained the division in detail. He said that Khalisa should help Kafa to manage the hospital. Because Jaya's other grandchildren are not old enough to manage Alindra's business, Daniel must do it.

"If there is anything less clear please ask." The 50-year-old male lawyer circulated his views to all family members who did not look enthusiastic. He knew they were still in a state of mourning but this will had to be delivered as soon as possible.

"Thank you sir, we'll understand." Daniel finally broke the silence because no one answered him.

"Khalalisasi permission up first." Khalisa took a step back first on everything. Azfan also took part in following the wife, if not to accompany Khalisa then he would not be here.

"Umma wait." Azfan held Khalisa's hand. "Umma's okay?"

Khalisa shook his head, "i just want to sleep."

"Yeah yuk, I'm tense." Azfan clasped Khalisa's hand as he climbed the stairs to the second floor.

Azka was still asleep when Khalisa and Azfan reached the room. Carefully they went up to the bed. Azfan moved Azka to the edge so she could lie down right next to Khalisa.

"We're going through this grief together." Azfan approached Khalisa, he could understand Khalisa's current grief. "Let's make sadness an opportunity to draw closer to God.

Khalisa buried his face in Azfan's chest, sobbing in silence in the peaceful embrace of his husband.
