Legend of the Moon Crystal
Chapter 64 "The Night of the Lantern Festival"

Iloania enjoys a bowl of porridge quietly. A pair of golden beads with slightly puffy eye bags. His nose was slightly flushed with a trail of white tears on his cheeks. Using a clean handkerchief, Lasius wiped the trail of tears on both of Iloania's cheeks gently.

Iloania smiled, "Thank you, Brother Sius."

Lasius smiled back. "Continue eating. You must be hungry,"

"Alright~" replied Iloania.

"Vleia," call Iloania in her mind. It was not until two seconds, Fleia immediately replied.

"What's wrong?"

"I miss home. About, when can we get back there?" Ask Iloania.

There was silence, before Fleia replied, "Let's go back there, Ilo. Right now, we need to focus on your seal. Because it collided with black magic back then, your seal suffered a rift and weakened."

"That's the seal that the teacher put up. For the rift I can handle it, but the problem of the weakening of the seal, I can't handle it." His inner.

"With my current energy, I have not been able to refinish the seal. I need some time." Said Fleia.

Iloania smiled at him, "Don't force yourself, Vle. I'm not okay. It's only weakened, not destroyed. I'll also try to figure out how to upgrade this seal."

Vleia muttered faintly, "You're right."

"Sister Sius, why bring me back to the Palace? How could you take me to the palace so easily? Is the king very generous?" Ask Iloania.

Lasius petrified for two seconds before his brain twisted rapidly in search of an excuse. "Actually I've been the king's shadow bodyguard for quite some time. So, the king is pretty good to me."

"Well, be the king's shadow bodyguard? So cool! Is that why Sister Sius likes to wear black?" Iloania.

"What's so good about being a bodyguard? After all, isn't she always wearing mourning clothes? There is no beauty" said Fleia who was also accompanied by Lasius.

Iloania replied, "Everyone has their own fashion sense. Don't say that."

Hearing Vleia's taunts, Lasius felt annoyed and wanted to hit Fleia right then and there. But Lasius also heaved a sigh of relief. At least, Iloania believed in this reason. Covering up the fact that he is a prince.

"But, how can you faint and bleed like that?" Lasius asked Iloania to stop his chatter along with Fleia, and looked at Lasius and shook his head.

"I don't know," he answered lying.

And well, Lasius knew it. But, he would not force Iloania to give her the answer.

...***...

Who would have thought that a week passed so quickly. Unexpectedly, that tomorrow was the day that the tournament started, and tonight, was the night of the Lantern Festival. From what Iloania knows, everyone in Alete will fly thousands of luminous lanterns in the night sky, and sweep thousands of lanterns over the vast and calm waters of the lake to commemorate them from the war of gods and demons.

Of course, the celebration will be so festive and bustling with colorful flames behind colored papers and interesting pictures.

Legend has it that whoever wrote their wishes and hopes was lanterned, he said the lantern would send the writer's wishes to the god. And sooner or later, that wish will be granted by the God of Hope.

Seeing Iloania standing a few steps away from him and surrounded by his friends, Lasius raised the corner of his lips in a smile. Iloania uses a sheer length sleeveless leg dress with a high collar, slightly tapered to the middle. Not only long, the dress also slightly expands and folds to resemble the shape of an alluring rose. How did she get this dress? Of course Lasius had prepared it. Due to some days forbidden to do anything, Iloania resigned when told to rest for some time in the luxurious room of Alete Palace.

Her subordinate, Iloania was wearing only footwear from strong and soft roots. The shape is like a circular slender leg, natural brown with pink flowers between the thumb and index finger of the foot.

Iloania curled her hair and tied it up using a red ribbon that was striking her golden blonde. Obviously, Iloania did not use any makeup at all, but somehow, Lasius felt that Iloania was becoming more beautiful.

"Well, how's your lantern?" Ask Jissiana.

The girl was wearing a short green dress in tune with her manic. The dress was beetle-modeled, sleeveless up and coiled from her elbow to the bottom. At first glance, the dress is like a butterfly dress.

Iloania showed a small circular lantern in her hand and smiled. "I'll fly this one."

"Very funny~ Now write your wish on it." Jissiana.

Iloania tilted her head and asked, "Writing wishes? Why?"

Before Jissiana explained, Kane first appeared and answered Iloania's question. "For your wish to be granted by the gods."

"God granted? Kane, what does that mean?" Ask Iloania.

"You don't know? By writing down our wishes on a lantern, and flying them or washing them into a lake, the people at Alete believe that the wishes or messages will be conveyed to the God of Hope." Obviously Kane made Iloania nod in understanding, but a second later asked again.

"Can a wish really be granted?" Ask Iloania.

Kane was a little uncomfortable with the bright gaze of Iloania and a bit of confusion to answer. Until Lasius' voice fell beside them.

"It's just the belief of the people of Alete for a long time. Don't know if it's true, but there's no harm in doing it." Said.

Kane heaved a sigh of relief and looked at Lasius with a smile. Deserve to be a hero. That hero, someone who shows up when others are in trouble and need help. Iloania looked over and laughed brightly.

Lasius nodded his head and showed a square lantern in his hand. Iloania smiled broadly at the lantern with dragon wings.

"Cool! That's naga~ wings" he said.

"Oahh!! Don't bother me and get out of the way! I want peace on this Lantern Festival night ahh!!" The shrill sound of Jissiana colored the calm atmosphere there.

Deltain stood beside her carrying a sweet twin lantern, "Ana is very pretty tonight. I just want to fly these twin lanterns together. Full of romance and tempestuous love."

"Don't bother me, please!!" Jissiana jerrie is desperate.

Iloania watched it while smiling. And their attention was immediately diverted when the colorful fireworks were lit in Alete's night sky.

"Well, it's beautiful!" Iloania muttered with a faint tone.

Lasius turned his head and looked at Iloania, before a smile fell on him. Iloania is even prettier than the fireworks it sees each year. Lasius and Iloania do not realize that Kane sees them with a wounded look. Choose to draw his eyes and bow.

"Well, want to write your wish?" Ask Lasius to Iloania.

Iloania nodded her head like a chicken pecking at rice. Making Lasius unable to help his low laughter. He gave the pen to Iloania as he said.

"Write your wish, and we'll fly it together after the fireworks are over." His word.

"Ohh, alright!" Iloania Spirit.

The girl took over the pen in Lasius' hand, writing on the side where Lasius could not see his handwriting. The fingers moved, and the sharp, golden tip of the ink scratched the pitch black ink, but it did not fade by water or paper. Looking at her own writing, Iloania smiled.

"What do you write that makes you smile so brightly?" Lasius's question made Iloania cover her lantern.

"Secret~ Brother Sius should not peek," he said with a wide smile.

Lasius did the same, hiding his lantern. "You can't peek at mine either."

Vleia's voice rang out, making their faces flushed. "Very childish. Is this how unstable teenagers show their love? Well, yeah, really?"

Iloania said with a flushed face, "A-What do you mean? Fleia, do you want me to hit? Just look at it later."

"Ah? What did I say wrong?" Ask Fleia.

Iloania did not refute, but pursed her lips and hid half of her reddened face behind her lantern. Lasius looked at Iloania, and smiled.

Very sweet.

How can it be so adorable!

"Oh, brother Sius. The fireworks are done." The word Iloania distracted Lasius.

Looking up, Lasius saw several lanterns being flown. Following the wave of lanterns. Not only the lanterns in the sky, but those that are floated on the lake are no less stunning and shining. Amazed, Iloania subconsciously turned her head as a pair of warm hands raised her hands from below.

"Watch up." The word Lasius made Iloania come to its senses, and released its lanterns, to soar high in the dark sky which was now adorned with multicolored lanterns

"Is that my wish?" Iloania faint murmur.

He gave a bright smile.

[I wonder, how far can I go? ]

...***...

The rustling sound of rubbing cloth, the clattering of footsteps, the light laughter full of cheer, the smell of food and the scent of osmantus drifted in the air. Jissiana, Lane, Kane, Elleanor, Deltain, Roseas, Lisiara, Eleston and even the teachers at Dragonia Academy were all present. Flying each other's lanterns of hope, without knowing if it was that easy to reach for hope.

All they knew was, for now, they could still breathe a sigh of relief.

"Tomorrow is the time. Prepare everything well. We'll do it tomorrow. This plan, it must work. We'll rule the whole world!"
