Asta was looking for a medicinal plant when Rema stood before him. The young man was barely aware of the existence of Rema if only the girl did not make a slight sound of footsteps. "Rema?"
There was only silence greeting Asta, but the young man was convinced that Rema, was in front of him.
He called once again. "Rema? Answer, I know it's you."
"I'm sorry for yesterday. I really didn't mean to say that, that you were wrong. It's not your fault, but it's my fault that's not careful." Asta Saying.
"I made you blind."
The statement made Asta surprised and instantly confused. "Rema? Whatchu mean?"
As if not hearing Asta's question, Rema again said, "I killed your parents too."
Asta smiled strangely, feeling increasingly confused and not understanding the direction of this conversation. But, how did Rema know that her parents were murdered?
"Rema, what are you saying? Don't joke, I know you're still mad because of yesterday. But—"
"Winter that time, a night that was quieter than usual. You're the one curled up behind the table, while your parents, the woman in red and the man in grey, are trying to fight back. You clearly remember the screams of that time."
The deg!
Rema's words made Asta's body tremble. Her manic was widened, and her face paled. Sweat flowed from his temples and slid around his neck. Her lips trembled wanting to say something, yet she was unable to say anything.
Rema took all the time to talk. His tone was fixed, flat, unfeeling and so sharp. "I've never felt guilty for killing, Asta. But, the loss of your eye sight, it's not something you should have to endure."
Asta clenched his hands, his voice trembling. "Me—Why did you do it?"
Rema looked at Asta, lowering her gaze. "Because I want to. I wanted to kill them, because they blocked my group's path to being the top. They are obstructors. They should be eliminated—"
Plaque!
Before he could finish his words, a loud slap made Rema speechless. No, it wasn't him who slapped. It wasn't him who was slapped either. Asta, the young man slapped himself. Rema did not understand, could it be that he was trying to wake up from a reality that was like a nightmare to him?
Second slap. Again, again, and again.
The atmosphere was silent for a while, before Asta said, "My mother is a very good woman. He loves me unconditionally. My father was a strong and strong man. He was tough, being the head of a good and perfect family in our eyes. My mother once told me that I shouldn't hit a woman. Isn't my mom nice?"
Rema just flinching. Shut up and don't say a word. Let Asta talk. "I love them, and they love me. They don't deserve to die like that, and you. No, not even you deserve to take someone else's life."
"You think, what right do you have to take someone else's life? Whoareyou? Are you a god? Are you the creator? Can you bring them back to life?" That statement is in succession.
"Say, what right do you have to kill others?!" Until that loud shout made Rema's expression change.
If he only had a cold face, now his face was really hard to decipher. He did not know what he was feeling, but his heart was so painful and it was hot. His chest rumbled, and he couldn't hold the buzz in his head. "I wish you could find a little humanity, Rema."
Rema raised her hand, squeezing her clothes. His chest rumbled and hurt. Her lips were slightly open, but she said nothing. Until the warm clear liquid slid down his cheek.
"Sorry."
Mirocuez looked at the scenery there flatly. His lips reveal a straight line. Her free hand lifted, took the hood of her robe and closed the access of the world to witness her beauty. Turning around, he disappeared like the air in that place with a faint murmur left behind.
"Finally got caught."
...***...
Rema did not expect that things would be like this in the end.
When he came back, to keep an eye on Asta to make sure he was okay while searching for medicinal herbs, on that day, Asta did not come. When he checked, there was a paper lying in front of the young man's rental house. The girl took it, and widened her eyes when she realized that the letter contained information, that they were the author of the letter, had kidnapped Asta and told him to come to the place in question.
Perhaps because of her guilt towards the young man, about eliminating her sight, Rema wanted to protect the young man. He did not want the young man to be injured for the umpteenth time.
So with the information he had read before the paper vanished into flames, Rema darted as fast as she could towards the place where the young man was supposed to be. Rema knew that maybe it could be a trap, but Rema did not care. He can handle everything, he can handle those who try to hurt him.
When he arrived, the building was empty. Old, dusty, dark, rooted and full of insects. The atmosphere was fitting for the bandits to hide, as people would naturally not dare to approach.
His manicure sharpened, staring at his surroundings. The darkness made it almost indistinct to see something, until something shot towards it and attempted to attack it. "Grrh!"
Rema thought something was going to strike her back, but her guess was wrong. Something stopped moving a few meters away from him. At first it seems small, but it moves and eventually resembles the shape of a human. His cold voice that was filled with playful tones sounded why. "After we've been searching for so many years, today is the day we finally know who the masterminds behind the founders' deaths are."
"Conqueror of the Night, it turned out to be only one person. And that's you! The other members were nothing but trash, but their loyalty, even exceeded that of someone who was brainwashed." Kechexer slowly stepped closer, letting Rema see more clearly the look.
"The hunter." Rema muttered in a toneless voice. "So, did you kidnap her?"
The wolf youth smirked. Her bead was dangerous, and as she grinned, her sharp canine teeth were visible with empty eyes. "He is your only weakness, right now. Am I wrong, Rema?"
Rema. "Shut your mouth!"
"Haha!!" Kechexer's laughter echoed in the room. His voice trembled creepily, carrying an unpleasant air and filled with horror.
The girl's bead stoned staring at Kechexer. Rema was about to raise her hand to attack, when Mirocuez appeared, with Asta's presence in a magic-bound condition next to him. Seeing Asta, Rema stopped moving. His hand that was holding back his magic slowly descended and eliminated his magic. If he attacked, it was likely that Asta would be hit by his attack.
Rema looked at Asta and called out to him. "Ast."
