Legend of the Moon Crystal
Chapter 132 "Light Flickers"

"Where are you brother from?"

As Hesian stepped in the corridor, Laisen emerged from behind the shadow and asked in a not so cheerful and gentle tone. There was even a hint of a sharp and interrogative tone within that made Hesian glance at him faintly before resuming his steps.

Laisen annoyedly frowned and raised his hand. A reddish magic emerged from his hand, extending like a root and trapping Hesian's shadow. The young man could not move a bit, and his voice was cold. "What are you doing?"

Laisen slowly stepped closer to Hesian. With his youthful appearance, he was only as tall as Hesian's waist. His face was displeased, and he stood in front of Hesian, asking in the same voice.

"Sister Sian from anywhere?"

Hesian was silent, not answering Laisen. This provoked the girl's anger. His pair of peach beads narrowed, and his jaw tightened. It was far from the cute looks he usually had. "My answer!"

In the end, Hesian spat out a few words. "What's the matter with you?"

Laisen frowned. Of course it has something to do with it!

It was because he with his own eyes saw a girl kissing Hesian. Although it was only cheeked, it really ignited Laisen's anger. Who was that fellow to dare to kiss the young man he liked?

Laisen said in a high tone. "Of course it has something to do with it! Brother is with a girl, right? Tell me, who is he? Why did you let him kiss you?!"

Hesian looked at the paranoid madness in Laisen's eyes and could not help but feel a chill in his eyes. He firmly answered. "It's none of your business!"

"Take me off."

"It's none of my business?" Laisen repeated Hesian's words and could not help but laugh at the corridor. "Haha!!"

His laughter shrieked due to his young voice, yet could not hide the cruelty he possessed. Anyone who heard it would be shaking in the cold. The people in the group always thought that Hesian was the cruelest in the group. With his cold and apathetic gaze, he would not hesitate to ruthlessly finish off those who opposed him. And not looking feathers. However, no one knew except for a few people including Hesian, that whoever deserved to be crowned as the cruelest was Laisen.

The girl usually always put on an innocent face with a sweet smile, yet she was actually what they called that cruelty.

Laisen is someone who is cunning, heartless and when killing someone, will torture him sadistically until the victim hopes to really die rather than continue to be left alive.

"Are you really pretending to be blind to my feelings?!"

Laisen said, "Who is he?"

"Well, you don't want to say it?" Laisen muttered and looked at Hesian coldly. "Then I will look for it with my own hands and crush it into thousands of pieces for daring to touch big brother!"

Brak!

Laisen violently slammed and crashed into the dinging. His body was stuck, and blood was flowing from his head and lips. Standing with a black aura enveloping him, Hesian lowered her hand and her pair of red eyes looked sharply at Laisen. "Try it and see how you'll feel about being your victim all along."

He added a few words before turning around to leave Laisen.

"I warned you."

Laisen was indeed the cruelest, but no one could resist, that among all of them, Hesian was the most powerful.

...***...

Walking quietly on the trail, Hesian calmly watched Luce cheerfully jump on the rocks in a shallow river by the forest.

Hesian snorted, choosing to walk again while looking ahead. Seeing Hesian reject his invitation, Luce flicked her shoulders and excitedly continued her activities of jumping from one rock to another. Both large rocks and small rocks are arranged nicely by the push of the river water plan that is only half a foot tall of the adult. Hearing Luce's light laughter, Hesian couldn't help but look straight at her and turned to find Luce who had almost toppled over as the rocks he had stepped on were spinning.

Without thinking about it, Hesian's body moved to capture Luce, and the two almost simultaneously fell into the water.

"Eh?" Luce muttered in surprise, before she started laughing wildly.

Luce is a simple personality. When he is happy he is happy, when he is sad he is sad, and when he is angry then he will be angry. Luce really did not hide her so happy laughter. Under Hesian's gloomy gaze as his clothes were completely wet, Luce did not feel the slightest guilt and instead cheerfully pulled Hesian into his arms.

He wrapped his slender arms around Hesian's neck and smiled sweetly. "Take me."

"What's wrong with you?" Hesian asked, but calmly caught Luce's thin waist and carried her to her sling.

Luce shook her head. "Just feeling a little tired."

It's been almost two months since they met and have been together. Almost a week ago, Luce experienced something strange on her body. At certain times, he would feel his body become so weak that even he was unable to walk. At first it only lasted for a few hours, but the further back, the period of time he felt tired as if his magic was drained the longer.

"Am I heavy?" Luce asked on the somnolence bead.

Hesian glanced at the strands of Luce's mane that were slowly turning into silver. He answered lightly. "It's actually heavy."

"lik! How can you say that a beautiful woman like me is heavy?!"

Hesian said nothing and only muttered with a gentle hum. Hesian's firm yet light footsteps and the soft, firm touch of his waist made Luce lulled. He looked at Hesian's perfect face even from any side, and could not help but smile.

Smile and grievous.

He opened his lips, "Sian."

"Mn?"

That gentle buzz made Luce smile. "Do you have a desire?"

Hearing the question, Hesian looked at Luce who was also looking at him. He looked straight ahead, thinking for a long time before answering. "Yourself."

Hearing that from Hesian's lips made Luce smile wider and wider. But Hesian suddenly looked down and looked at him. "What's your wish?"

Thinking about it, there was a faint smile that Luce gave as she leaned against the niche of Hesian's neck. He tightened his embrace around his neck and replied gently as he closed his eyes. "I want to be a flickering light."

Hesian had not yet asked why, Luce first continued her words. "I really want to live my own way. Despite being a small flickering light amidst the darkness, I hope that my faint light is able to last forever. Free, brave though weak, and calm even though my existence is only a faint thing that can be forgotten at any time."

"I want to be like that."

"Sian," he called her softly. "If I were to become a flickering light like that, would you look at me?"

Later, Luce fell into her sleep. When he opened his eyes, he was alone on the bed that had a trace of the warmth of two people. His pair of sweets drooped, and tears rolled from the corner of his eyes. "Hiks, hiks!"

Luce, don't want to leave Hesian.
