Legend of the Moon Crystal

Legend of the Moon Crystal
Chapter 137 "Suspiciousness And Accident"

Looking around, Asyra swam into the large building in front of her carefully. She returns late, and Asyra worries that her brother will question the reason for her delay and ends up putting his suspicions on her.

"Where have you been, Syra?"

Asyra's tail stopped when she heard that voice. Looking up, Asyra found a mature male mermaid figure. Her skin was as pale as Ashra's, with a pair of sparkling moss-green beads. Asyra nervously looked at him, trying to control his expression and smiled. "So usually, I play to the brink. I saw a dolphin get lost in there and help him get back into his herd."

The adult mermaid's bead narrowed at Asyra before firmly saying, "Other times don't come back too late. You remember the rules, right?"

Asyra nodded, "Yes, brother. Can't be late for home."

The adult mermaid again said, "And?"

" ... and must not swim near the surface."

Being stared at in such a way by the elder sister made Asyra firmly turn to look at her. His pair of manics trembled lightly when the elder brother had already turned around, and Asyra hurriedly walked into his room and lay down on his collar bed. "Did you know already?"

He shook his head. "No way! I really didn't leave any traces."

Asyra covered her face and did not say anything more for some time before she faintly muttered. "I want to eat noodles. Mona's gonna bring me tomorrow, right?"

He imagines a second meeting tomorrow. It had crossed his mind, how they would joke again while eating the noodles that had been promised by Lamona. A smile bloomed on her pretty face, and Asyra could not help but chuckle and feel a sense of joy rising up in her chest. He would be able to watch his nephew be born, and he could eat noodles that he said were delicious. Both of them made Ashra impatient.

...***...

Tomorrow comes quickly. The day is moving, and it does not feel like tomorrow is changing with the day. As usual, Asyra will say goodbye to playing with her friends, when in fact she met Lamona. As he does now, wait on the shore and wait for Lamona's figure to appear.

Asyra waited patiently, minute by minute, hour by hour. The sun was already tilting towards the west, and Asyra knew that it was not long before she had to return.

Asyra should have come back, because maybe Lamona wouldn't have come. However, Asyra really wanted to meet Lamona.

Turning her tail into legs, Asyra immediately dodged the beach water. Transforming herself into a human look without scales, gills and a tail, Asyra wore a soft light blue mini dress with no arms. Although not human, Ashra knew etiquette and manners, because the mermaids also did the same. At least not naked. He looked around, with doubt, fear and awkwardness. But there was determination in it, determination for him to meet Lamona.

"Mona says his house is under the foot of the mountain."

His fragile legs that looked very pale tried to step as casually as possible. He felt a little strange with human feet for some time, but when he had walked for some time, he became accustomed to walking on both of his human legs and he stepped onto the path leading to the town of Lamona. He had to pass through a small forest, before his blue bead found a stone and wooden gate that was an archway indicating that there was civilization there.

"Baked chicken, grilled chicken!"

"The apple is still fresh, please buy~ It was picked directly from his garden!"

"Mom, want a toy!"

Asyra was like a daze over there. Like a foreigner, he spun around, looking at his surroundings with awe that could not be hidden in his face. He was curious about all the things in front of him, although thrilling, but all this made him very interested.

His feet were about to step into a beautiful food store when he remembered his original purpose of coming to the mainland.

"I have to go to Lamona's house immediately." Mumbled.

Stepping down the street, while occasionally paying attention to the surroundings. Asyra was unaware of how long she had walked, and she only followed Lamona's words which she remembered when the man explained her house. Asyra looked up, and found that the sky was overcast. Previously it was not as thick as this, but now it is really cloudy and it will clearly rain the next second.

In his human form, Asyra should not be exposed to any water or he will return to his original form, becoming a mermaid again.

When the first droplets landed next to her, Ashra immediately ran towards a building and quickly saved herself from the rain that soon flushed the earth. The building is a simple restaurant. Not only Asyra took shelter, there were many people who took shelter there. Because it was a restaurant, some of them all ordered food while waiting for the rain to subside, and some others simply ordered snacks and warm drinks to warm themselves up.

Asyra stood by the window, looking out with a faint look before smiling.

"I thought I'd get caught because of the rain. Turns-out!"

Pyas!

Asyra turned her head with horror, and looked in shock at a fallen child. He was crying with blood between his teeth when he fell with his chin on the floor. The mother of the child immediately approached him and saw his condition. Asyra could not move for two seconds, before looking at her feet that were wet with white liquid. Milk.

"Oh boy! You're not what? How could you be so careless as to wet this miss?"

The woman looked up, about to apologize to Asyra when the woman was stunned and speechless. Sides appeared on his docked feet, his clothes faded and his ears changed. It was a terrible sight for the woman.

"Aghhhh!!! The monster!!"
