The morning has long shown itself. It seems almost noon. The sound of birds always welcoming the morning is not heard. His voice was swallowed by the splashing sound of rain water that was still fluttering profusely though not as loud as last night.
The cold atmosphere that is still enveloping makes the body feel reluctant to get out of bed. Even without a meaningful gust of wind, the morning seemed a little cooler than usual.
In the room that Jaka rented was still silent without any conversation or words spoken. Both Jaka and Nyi Dewi are still asleep, as well as Laras who shriveled and shuffled in his blanket because he felt the cold morning air.
Nyi Dewi felt that her consciousness had returned to make her sleep awake. Clenching his eyelids before he opened his eyes wide. For a moment Nyi Dewi felt her hands resting on something that felt a little warm. It is not the heat that results from something hot. But the warmth that radiates from the temperature. And how shocked Nyi Dewi was once she knew where her hands rested. His hand was on top of Jaka's body, while he fell asleep facing and lying right next to Jaka who fell asleep on his back.
Nyi Dewi looks panicked not overbearing. His hands were in direct contact with Jaka's body skin wrapped in vest-like clothes that he always wore daily, which only covered the back and part of the front body only . Along with that, Jaka also woke up from his sleep. Before Nyi Dewi could pull his hand that touched Jaka's body.
"Nyimas, what's wrong?" tanya Jaka nurtured her consciousness that was not yet fully present.
"A, ah, there's nothing, Kangmas," replied Nyi Dewi thunderously as she pulled her hand very quickly. Nyi Dewi's face reddened slightly as she woke up with her hands on Jaka's body. It seems like it was also realized by Jaka, he thought. Then Nyi Dewi threw away her gaze instantly from feeling embarrassed.
"Have I narrowed his bed?" tanya Jaka looked at Nyi Dewi who was lying facing towards him with a gaze that was still down. Nyi Dewi did not dare to speak. I could only shake his head in return.
"Didn't I fall asleep in my seat last night?" jaka said slowly as if he was asking himself. "how could I wake up lying down like this?" Rise up while rubbing eyes.
Nyi Dewi looked agitated. He wanted to try to change the position of his body so that he did not face towards Jaka longer. But what reason does he have for it? When is the right time to turn away from Jaka? Nyi Dewi did not know how she could initially fall asleep facing Jaka. As he remembered, he and Laras fell asleep facing each other last night. When he is awake or distracted from sleep, he will certainly realize it. However, the thing he experienced was completely unaware of it at all.
"Makshu! Mauryu!"
Laras' loud chatter suddenly shocked Jaka and Nyi Dewi. Laras' two hands seemed to be groping the wind, trying to grab something. Like trying to accomplish something.
At that moment, Nyi Dewi quickly turned her body facing towards Laras. Then held the hand of Laras who was still flailing. Close his body to Laras who is facing him. Those moments he thought were the perfect time to take his eyes off Jaka's face without making him feel awkward.
"Makshu! Ma'am. yu.."
The sound of Laras delirium was finally stopped after Nyi Dewi put both hands Laras in front of him. Laras regained his composure in his sleep without saying a word. Back asleep in a slightly curled position facing Nyi Dewi.
"Nyimas, I'll be gone for a while. You accompany Laras until I return" said Jaka who had risen and set one foot on the ground. Prepare to leave the room.
"Gee!" Nyi Dewi retorted without looking at Jaka. He was still too embarrassed to come face to face with Jaka for what had happened. He did not even see Jaka leave the room. Only able to explain it when the atmosphere of the room feels silent without sound.
...***...
Ahh!!! The sound of screaming sounded so clear. Lasmi who was helping Suwira pick and choose the drugs to be sent by Suwira was hasty to hunt towards the source of the screaming sound that made him very surprised.
"Mother, look at what Kakang Wuluh has done to me," Waluh Kuning complained to Lasmi while pointing at Lembing Wuluh who was standing nearby holding a bucket of water. All his clothes looked soaked because Lembing Wuluh doused him with water with a bucket of water.
"Don't complain too much! The morning is almost over. Until when are you gonna keep sleeping and just laze around?"
"Already, already!" lerai Lasmi on the problems of her two sons. He knew the good intentions of Lembing Wuluh in disciplining his brother. But, he did not want just because a small thing could result in the relationship of the two turned into tenuous.
"Mothers.. Brother Wuluh did not want to wake me up first, Mom, even immediately poured water until my clothes were all wet." Looking at her wet clothes.
"Keep like that. You only know to complain and complain." said Lembing Wuluh with a flat face looking at the Yellow Waluh who whined like a child.
"Ten, don't overdo it with your brother" Lasmi rebuked at Lembing Wuluh's attitude.
"It's free, ma'am, I advise him. My words are just the wind then for him. He won't hear it at all. Just get in the right ear out the left ear."
"Mom understands. You help your father pick up the medicine he's going to bring, let me advise Waluh. Yea?"
Lembing Wuluh according. He did not want to interrupt his mother's words. Dare not to argue with his mother's words. He finally came out of the room room and went to bring the bucket of water he still held.
"Ten.." said Lasmi slowly as he approached Waluh Kuning. "you are already big. It's not good if you're constantly following your habits" she advises.
The Yellow Wall bowed and fell silent. Before long, he slightly raised his gaze and looked at the face of his mother, Lasmi. "But, Mum. I'm kan.."
"Your brother is so kind and always pays attention to you all the time. Don't you want to change your bad habits? Do you want to stay that way forever until you're old?"
The Yellow Waluh shook slowly. Slowly he looked at his mother's face. The face of the female figure who had given birth and raised him wholeheartedly. The face was now starting to age a little slowly without realizing it. A face that always gives a warm smile even though the burden of his mind is never described behind his smile.
"You are no longer a child. It is appropriate that you distinguish which is more important for you to work on and which you should leave behind" Lasmi advised again.
"I understand, Mom." Waluh Kuning instantly lowered her head accompanied by a small nod.
"Yes already. Quickly clean yourself. After that, you'll help me hang some of the dry ingredients next to the house."
"Good, Mom!" said Waluh Kuning stood up and walked out of the room to clean up. Lasmi looked at him with a warm smile. Lasmi knew that her son was not an untutored person. Only, his son had not found his own identity like his eldest son, Lembing Wuluh. And someday, his son will surely find it to be able to lead himself in doing things that are useful for him and leave his bad habits so far.
