Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior

Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior
The delayed journey

“Nyimas, beware!” Pulling Nyi Dewi's body with spontaneity.

Nyi Dewi lost her balance and was forced to rest on Jaka's body. The two of them came into physical contact for a while. Nyi Dewi felt embarrassed and her face started to turn red.

“Nyimas, are you okay?” ask Jaka. His hands clenched tightly onto the body of Nyi Dewi who had fallen on his body. Nyi Dewi was increasingly embarrassed.

“Ka, Kangmas, you can already let go of your grip,” said Nyi Dewi nervously.

“Ahh, ma, forgive me!” Immediately take off the deck. The atmosphere became awkward instantly.

“Okay, again you guys make out to each other! Makes me lose my fighting taste!”

The speech from that person reduced the awkward atmosphere between Jaka and Nyi Dewi a little.

“Let's go, we postpone our fight for a while. If you really want to know who told me to, come to Batu Caves on Tinggling Hill. I'll wait for you there. I'll tell you everything, including your family.”

Jaka and Nyi Dewi looked at each other in confusion. What should the two do, as if like a dazed person.

“Alright, I say goodbye first. See you again at Tinggling.” hill

“Tung, wait.” Jaka was going after that guy.

“Ah, yes, I forgot! You guys are so compatible,” he said again before that person completely disappeared from the presence of the two.

Nyi Dewi blushed in embarrassment, as did Jaka. Both of them were again overwhelmed by the awkward atmosphere ever since that person disappeared.

“Nyimas, let's continue our journey.” said Jaka trying to eliminate awkwardness.

Nyi Dewi was a little nervous and did not bother “Ba, well,” reply a moment later.

The two soon search for their respective horses in order to continue the journey to find where the existence of Laras as planned.

Some of the people who were sprawled before disappeared along with that person's departure. None of them lay down as before.

"Where did his followers go? Did that guy take them away with him too?" jaka Inward. However, he did not want to think too far.

Jaka then whistled calling his horse. Before long, the horse ridden by him neighed loudly and approached him, as if understanding Jaka's calling language. However, the horse ridden by Nyi Dewi did not come to follow Jaka's horse as usual.

Jaka whistled once again, unfortunately nothing changed.

"Nyimas, your horse used to tell me as soon as I called?" Looking at Nyi Dewi. "is something possible to happen to Nyimas' horse?"

Nyi Dewi did not respond to him. His face still showed a sense of shame that had not been lost.

Jaka again whistled once again to summon the horse ridden by Nyi Dewi. Unfortunately, the horse did not come.

Some whistles repeated remain meaningless.

When he heard Jaka's whistle, the horse he was riding neighed loudly. The horse walked as if it was pulling Jaka and Nyi Dewi to follow it.

Both of them went to follow the steps of the horse who seemed to know that something had happened.

Sure enough, the horse ridden by Nyi Dewi turned out to have died pierced by a spear, so it did not reply when Jaka whistled to call him.

Jaka walked up to the horse, then rubbed his back as if saying goodbye.

After returning, he was confused as to how he should continue the journey, while the remaining horses were his.

Jaka twisted his mind, how the two could get together again to continue the journey, and there was only one way that crossed his mind at that time.

“Nyimas, since the horse Nyimas was wearing was dead, while we had to go back on our way, then we want to not have to sit on one horse together. What do you think of Nyimas?” Jaka threw away his sight. Jaka's words sounded hesitant.

“Looks like we have no other choice, Kangmas.” said Nyi Dewi with a downcast face. He did not dare to look at Jaka's face at that time.

Both of them got on the horse and went back on their way. Jaka sat at the back to spur the pace of his horse, while Nyi Dewi sat sideways in front.

Throughout the journey, there is not a single word that is simple. Only the sound of the footsteps of the horse could be heard clearly.

Dusk was almost nearing its time, and soon they began to enter the forest.

“Nyimas, if you feel sleepy, put to bed! I'll wake you when we get to you. You can lean on me if you don't mind. Let the pace of the horse I will keep for you.” said Jaka breaking the silence.

Nyi Dewi instantly broke down her body and leaned on Jaka's body. Although both eyes closed, but his mind could not be eliminated, even more awake.

Jaka slowly spurred the horse through the dark forest.

The silent atmosphere felt. A little cold through the skin blows as gently as the wind. Darkness gets more intense each time it gets deeper in the part of the forest that is passed.

Some of the forest has been through both. For the time being, there are no meaningful obstacles.

Nyi Dewi looks riled up. Even though he had closed his eyes, it could not make him fall asleep. There was a small burden that felt possessed his mind. He did not know what it was, but it really disturbed his mind at that time. His eyes were open again.

“What's up, Nyimas? Is something bothering you?” ask Jaka.

Nyi Dewi shook her head. Don't know what to say to Jaka. He only knew that his soul was a little turbulent.

Jaka and Nyi Dewi had entered into the forest rather deep. Jaka decided to stop and rest for a while.

“Nyimas, are you hungry? How about we take a break?” ask Jaka again.

Nyi Dewi still did not answer. He just nodded.

Jaka rushed down and helped Nyi Dewi down from the horse. "Nyimas, careful! Let me help you."

Nyi Dewi held onto Jaka's hand which helped her down from the horse. A bit of the burden that seemed to disturb his mind, now increasing, the turmoil in his soul seemed to begin to overflow.

After that, Jaka immediately took the ingredients in the form of meat to eat what he had prepared, then lit a fire and burned it.

Nyi Dewi sat down next to Jaka. Jaka was astonished to see the behavior of the Goddess Nyi who was not as usual, as if her soul and body were in two different places.

Sometimes he looked at Jaka's face blankly, then looked the other way. Sometimes, the views of the two intertwine.

“Nyimas, what's bothering you right now? I see Nyimas as not the usual Nyimas. Is there something you're worried about?”

Again there was no response from Nyi Dewi. Nyi Dewi just shook her head slowly. Jaka gets confused and wonders what really happened.

Jaka just busied himself burning the ingredients of immature meat. He did not want to bother and leave it alone.

“Nyimas, eat while warm! Hmm.. smell the aroma!? It's fragrant! What Nyimas wants to try it.” Throwing a smile, trying to change the mood.

Jaka thrust the cooked meat he had burned to Nyi Dewi. Nyi Dewi fell silent, looking at Jaka for a moment. I don't know what Nyi Dewi was thinking back then, there was no response whatsoever. Flat and empty.

And without saying much, Nyi Dewi grabbed the cooked meat that Jaka had burnt and immediately devoured it slowly.

Jaka again busied himself burning the ingredients of immature meat. Jaka occasionally observes Nyi Dewi, because according to him Nyi Dewi's behavior is a bit strange.

After eating the burnt meat while resting for a while, the two resumed their journey, still in the same position as at the beginning of the journey.

Under the moon's bright light..

Slowly the distance traveled has begun to enter the forest. Although the situation is getting darker and only festive moonlight, but it does not discourage the two to keep looking for the existence of Laras.

Nyi Dewi suddenly makes a sound, “Kangmas.. Kangmas.” Jaka looked at Nyi Dewi. Her body feels hot like a fever.

Nyi Dewi continued to call out to Jaka. Jaka felt a bad premonition was threatening.

Jaka hastened to wake Nyi Dewi who was sleeping leaning on her body,

“Nyimas, Nyimas.. wake up!"

Jaka repeatedly shook the body of Nyi Dewi to immediately wake up. But, Nyi Dewi did not notice.

In the distance Jaka sensed the existence of some people who were waiting for his arrival. The pace of the horse is still running slowly.

“Who's there?”

Some of the people who were waiting for his arrival appeared.

“Who are you?"

"Hopefully this time is no big deal, her inner”.
