Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior

Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior
The arrival of old grandfather

The night is almost approaching. Jaka began to enter the forest around the village of Kadipaten. There was no other choice for him than to stay in the forest. Not a single meal has passed through his throat since morning, even for a mouthful of rice. He persevered, patient and steadfastly lived day by day.

In the middle of the forest as he was about to enter the hut where he was hiding, he was startled by the voice that called out to him, the voice spoken by an old grandfather.

“O young man, would you give food and a ride to sleep goods overnight.”

Jaka turned to look for the origin of the voice he heard. He saw an old grandfather with a bow and several arrows on his shoulders. He did not know the figure of the old grandfather.

“Sorry Cake. Not that I didn't want to help or anything, I haven't eaten anything myself since this morning. Even to sleep I do not know, whether Grandpa would like to spend the night in this small hut or not?”

“Who is your name, young man?”

“I Jaka Umbara. Who is this grandpa? Where to and from?”

“I am a wanderer. Someday I will tell you the origin and purpose of this adventure, young man.”

Jaka was confused by what the old man said. But he doesn't want to think too much about it. He also did not know the figure of the old grandfather in front of him.

“What's wrong, for now the most important thing is there is a place to sleep,” said the old man ended his conversation.

As usual, Jaka fell asleep. Sleeping is the only way to get through the night quickly. He never knew what the old man was doing when he fell asleep. All he thought about was that he could get up early and find food to fill his stomach tomorrow.

Jaka began to open his eyes when the sunlight broke through the barriers of the hut room to get to his bed. He knew the day had appeared. He rushed out for a breath of fresh air before he set out in search of food.

Not yet had time to come out and only a few steps he was surprised by one thing he never imagined. At the place of eating he found a dish that made him shake his head. He remembered the figure of an old grandfather last night who spent the night in his small hut. Maybe he served all these foods, he thought.

“Kek... Grandpa!” He screamed for the old man he had just seen last night. There aren't. He kept looking out of the hut hoping he could meet him and ask about all the dishes he got. However, there are no satisfactory results. The old man was gone without knowing where to look again.

“Where did old geezer go last night? Where did all these foods come from?”

Question after question continued to be explained, but none of them could be answered. He did not know what to do now, eat the dishes in front of him or quietly wait for old grandfather so that he could devour dishes that arouse his appetite.

For an hour he was silent looking at the dishes while waiting for old grandfather to return. Two hours almost passed. Finally he decided to eat the dish he got that morning. “Maybe I just eat this food a little, the rest I'll save for Grandpa. Who knows he will be back.” murmured.

That day Jaka did not look for food out of the forest as usual. He just stayed in his little hut in the middle of the forest. Waiting for the old man to return to his hut. But until night came back, the figure of the old grandfather he was waiting for never came.
