Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior

Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior
Market reliability Banggolan 1

Jaka Umbara, Nyi Dewi and also Laras had left the inn after waiting for one night and all the preparations had been completed. They set off when the morning began to go by noon, continuing their journey to Batu Cave located in Tinggling Hill, Indonesia, while passing through the market Banggolan to look for goods owned by Barjo's employer who was seized by the robbers when Barjo was about to send it to the storage warehouse at the market Banggolan. Jaka and Nyi Dewi also wear a scarf-like headscarf to cover part of his face. Only Laras was reluctant to wear it and let his face look all over.

All three arrived at the Banggolan market after walking for about fifteen minutes more. The Banggolan market is quite large, but not as long as the Rawu market. The lackeys of his merchants were also not much different, it was still the same. Probably because most places don't sell anything different. It differs only in small or large quantities, perhaps.

The three passed by a small diner located in front of the Banggolan market.

“Nyimas, Barrel, how about we rest for a while?” jaka's proposal to Nyi Dewi and Laras when it is right next to the small eatery. The two responded with a soft nod. Jaka then walked towards the tavern followed by Nyi Dewi and also Laras behind him.

The small shop is not so big. However, the store is almost always crowded every day, maybe because of its strategic place and located in the face of the Banggolan market. Some benches sit and his table is also located on the outside of his shop. The dining table was only the size of a table one by three meters with an elongated bench seat as a complement. Sometimes customers share a dining table with each other. They share a dining table because they do not get another seat that is still empty.

The room inside the shop was quite spacious, enough to accommodate around twenty people more. The door of the room was not leafy, with well-maintained room walls. The roof is made of earthen tile supported by several wooden poles. The window of the room looks like a wooden fence that has no doors and is only limited in height, so it can make customers can look out or vice versa.

“Welcome, Gentlemen! Please, please!”

A waiter approached with a polite greeting while looking for an empty seat as soon as the three entered the tavern. The three then took their respective seats after getting an empty seat.

“What food would you like Gentlemen to order?”

Jaka put five silver coins on the table. “Please, just bring a food menu that fits this! Also pack some of the food,” said Jaka looking at the waiter who greeted him.

“Ahh!.. This.” The waiter was a little confused. He beckoned the other waiter so that the shopkeeper would come and help him.

Not long after, an old man from the store owner came over and asked, “Master, what happened? Is there something that Gentlemen need?” tanyakanya.

“Please, bring some food menu that suits this money, and pack some of it for us to bring!” pinta Jaka pointed at the coin he placed on the table.

The owner of the store smiled broadly at the silver coins scattered on his shop table. His smile expanded while continuously rubbing his palms non-stop because of the excitement of seeing the great advantage that was approaching him.

“Alright, Sir! Just soon! We will quickly prepare it for you gentlemen.” Undured and pulled the waiter who greeted Jaka, then scolded him in the corner of the shop.

“Ka, kanda... Why was the waiter scolded?” Laras who saw the waiter was scolded by the shop owner asked Jaka with a face full of astonishment. "have we made him scolded?" ask Laras again.

Jaka responded with a slightly indifferent tone. “Leave it! That's none of our business!”

Laras glanced at Nyi Dewi. Nyi Dewi then blinked her eyes accompanied by a small nod as a signal so that Laras no longer continued the question. The barracks finally chose to remain silent.

Moments later, a variety of food was immediately served by three waiters. The food served almost filled the dining table so much. Rice one basket with side dishes and vegetables, and also fruits in containers, fish and meat, and some other food menus. Two small jugs filled with drinking water and five bamboo cups also complete the dining table.

“Wahh!.” cried Laras almost salivate to see the various foods presented on the dining table. “Kanda's.. Mbakyu. is Dinda can.." he asked timidly with a slightly downcast look.

“Eat!”

Laras immediately took the passionate portion upon hearing the words of his brother, Jaka, as if he was afraid of running out of food that had been served by the shopkeepers.

“Nyimas, you too, eat!”

Jaka took a serving of food and directly devoured it. Nyi Dewi nodded and took the food in front of her.

When they are eating. Suddenly a group of delinquents entered the store and immediately disturbed the atmosphere of people who were relaxing eating dishes with their presence. Some people who feel frightened to know who came immediately scattered themselves. Some others chose to remain silent in their seats for their safety without daring to glance in the slightest. In fact, people who sit near them prefer to shift their seats or rush out of the store rather than having to intersect with them.

“Hey, Old Man! Bring a jug of wine and some food!” said one of the delinquents who came, shouting out loud.

“Quick, fast! Don't let us wait!” chimpal the others with a voice that is no less loud.

"Yes. Our stomachs are struggling to fill up soon. Hurry, hurry!" Other delinquents also said in an impatient tone.

Nyi Dewi looked at Jaka. He was not affected by the presence of those people. He still seems to enjoy his food. Only Laras seemed to be riled up by their presence. Nyi Dewi tried to hold one hand Laras so that Laras could feel calm while eating his food.

The atmosphere inside the tavern began to calm down again despite the slight tension that was still felt. Shopkeepers served food with a speck of fear clearly drawn on their faces. They dare not say no to their own safety.

The delinquents ate the dishes that had been served while occasionally accompanied by jokes between them regardless of the fear felt by the shopkeepers and other customers.

“Servant, add more food!” shouted one of the other thugs as he kicked the table.

The frightened servants hurriedly complied with their request as soon as possible. The owner of the store was not able to do much, because this is not the first time a group of delinquents came to meet his shop.

“Hey, Old Man! Bring me the wine back here! We are still not satisfied with his drunkenness. Hahaha.” One who is considered a delinquent leader shouted and called the shop owner accompanied by laughter that made some other delinquents laugh.

The tavern owner approached the delinquent chief with a little courage that he gathered in his heart. “Ma, sorry, Sir!.. We no longer have any other wine.” he said with a downcast of fear.

Suddenly, the answer from the shop owner made the delinquent leader become very angry when listening to his words. “Hah!! What did you say?!”

W

“Ka, we're out of wine, sir. Su, there is no more wine preparation in our store.”

Karuan, the delinquent chairman was getting angry. He pulled the collar of the shop owner's clothes with a brassiere. “That's, no, my business!! If you don't want your shop I flatten, quickly bring a pitcher of wine here! Ahaha.." The head of the delinquent is the head of his other colleagues. Other delinquents were immediately laughing.

Begging for mercy. “Tu, Mister.. don't. geez, Mister! We are just little people. We have no place to live other than this place, sir. Please forgive us, sir!.."

“What does that have to do with me if you don't have a place to live anymore, huh?! Do I have to find another place to live, do I? What's in it for me?!" snapped the delinquent leader down the rest of his wine from inside the jug he still held.

From inside the wine jug there are only a few drops left that increasingly make the face of the delinquent chairman look red.
