Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior

Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior
The story that has passed

The days passed so quickly, it did not feel Laras had lived with Jaka for more than a year.

At that time they were on the front porch of the padepokan.

The noise of the night animals also attended their existence.

In front of them a banquet of some fruits and drinks was in session.

The stars in the sky illuminate the atmosphere of the night even without being illuminated by the moonlight.

“Laras, how many years have you been this time?”

“Fifteen years. Why is it, Kanda?”

“You've grown big apparently.” Jaka looks mangosteen, as if there is something he is thinking about.

“The last few months you've started to look so alive. Very different from your condition when you first came to this store.”

“This is all thanks to Kanda. Dinda is grateful that Kanda has been willing to take care of Dinda even though Dinda is not Kanda's biological sister. Thank you, Kanda,” he said moved.

Almost his eyes began to glaze over, but Laras immediately disguised them. He immediately leaned on Jaka, as if to show his affection and gratitude for taking good care of him all this time.

“You don't have to be so shy. I promised your father to take care of you, of course I will definitely keep it."

"If I wanted to, I would have left you at that time. But, I think you definitely need someone who can give you a grip to lean on."

"At the same time I've considered you my own sister. Of course I will also take care of and take care of you.”

Barrels spawning. Swiping his index finger on Jaka's arm. “Kanda.”

“Hmm?!”

“Can Dinda sit on Kanda's lap?” Ask shyly.

“Of course! Come here!”

Barrel smiled. He seemed very happy to hear Jaka's words. Then quickly sat on his lap as soon as Jaka knew it was allowed. He felt as if he had someone who loved him more than himself. Jaka stroked the hair of Barrel gently.

“What makes you so happy?” jaka asked astonished to see the behavior of Laras who continued to smile.

Laras shook his head slowly. Feel hesitant to tell his feelings at that time to Jaka.

“Alright, if you really don't want to tell me. I won't force you.” Still stroking the hair Laras with one other hand clasping the body Laras.

Barrel blushed in shame. He let Jaka stroke his hair longer.

“Kanda, can Dinda ask you something?” said Baras suddenly.

“What do you want to ask me?”

“Why did Kanda help Dinda when the Black Horse attacked Dinda and Ayahanda?”

“Hmm, why, yes?”

Jaka let out a long sigh, trying to laugh at the events he had experienced when he first met with Laras.

“Then, there was a poor boy, he was often made fun of by some people who felt himself better than him just because he had no family.” Jaka's speech stopped for a while.

His gaze glared towards the sky as if he was reminiscing about someone. Laras could only be stunned astonished at Jaka's behavior. Then Jaka continued his words.

“One time, the boy met an old man. The old grandfather once said to him, “In this world human degrees are no different, he said. All same. Be it nobles or commoners, all have the same degree and position”. His words were always embedded in the little boy's heart until now” Jaka's speech came to a standstill. He did not continue his words.

“Then, what happened to that little boy now?” Laras asked out of curiosity about the continuation of the story.

“Do you want to know how the story ends?”

“Yes. Dinda wants to know! What about the end story, Kanda?”

“Alright, I'll tell you how the story ends.”

Jaka continued his stalled words.

“There was a time when he felt very desperate and full of fear. The boy didn't even have anyone to serve as a place to lean on."

"The little boy almost gave his life to the sky. If the old man had not come and helped him, he would have been even worse off. Maybe even the child will not have the passion of life again as you used to because there is no one to help him to rise. That's the end of the story.”

“Did Kanda know him?”

“Is he Kanda family?”

“Had been my brother. Since he was helped by the figure of the old grandfather, now he has no more brother ties with me.”

“Where is he now? Does Kanda know what his name is?”

“I don't know where he is now, hopefully he's still fine.” Jaka sighed deeper. “and to whose name? He doesn't want anyone to know his name.”

Jaka could not tell who the real figure of the little boy was. Jaka could not say that he was the figure behind the little boy he told Laras. For one thing, Jaka chose it was better to keep it a secret from him.

“Why is that so, Kanda?”

Jaka suddenly pinches Laras' nose and makes Laras complain of pain.

"Why did Kanda do that?" Speak with a sullen tone.

“You ask too many questions! Isn't it already night? Aren't you going to go to bed?"

“No! Dinda is not sleepy! Anyway Dinda wants to sleep leaning on Kanda,” said Laras warming up. "does Dinda not do it?.”

“Alright, do what you like. I'll never be able to win even once from you.” Rubbing hair Barrels a bit rough.

“Kanda's.. Stop doing that! Later Dinda's hair will run out if Kanda does it.”

The two laughed cheerfully, as if there was no burden to worry about.

“Kanda.”

"Hm!"

Laras. Swiping his index finger on Jaka's hand.

“What's up?” Bafflement at the behavior of Baras.

“What if one day Dinda experiences the same thing as the little boy Kanda told her about? Will Kanda become the figure of the old man and come to Dinda's aid?”

“I will never let you experience the same thing with him.”

“If Dinda really experienced it, how?”

“You'll never experience that!”

“But, how about Dinda.”

Jaka cut it fast'. “Are you doubting your brother?”

“Good. Dinda believes, Kanda loves Dinda the most more than anyone in the world.”

Jaka smiled and gently stroked her hair “Are you going to bed now?”

“Dinda wants to fall asleep like this.” Said flatly while holding his hand.

“Why don't you sleep in your room?”

“Why did Kanda tell Dinda to come in? Dinda wants to sleep on Kanda's lap like this!” whining Laras with spoiled and almost sobbing. He beat Jaka's hand which hugged his body.

"Did Kanda not love Dinda anymore?" Look sad.

“Good. You can sleep like this if that's what you want. I won't ban you anymore.”

Hm! The attitude of Baras began to soften.

“Then, sleep!”

Barrel fell asleep immediately. Jaka looks after Laras who is asleep in his lap. He had not expected Laras to really fall asleep by leaning on him.

“Sleep soundly. You don't have to think about anything anymore. I will always take care of you.” Jaka said softly while rubbing the hair Laras gently. Smiling as he looked at the sky, hoping he could keep looking after Laras for as long as he could.

Baras was disturbed by Jaka's words just now, as if he heard Jaka's words, but did not keep him awake from his sleep.

“You're.” Poking Laras cheek slowly.

The barrel was again disturbed, making Jaka laugh at his behavior.

Before long, Jaka immediately carried Laras on his lap, moved him into the room because the night was getting late and the cold wind was a little strong.
