Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior

Jaka Umbara; The Wind Warrior
The night before Mpu Fencing Maya's death

"Kangmas, it looks like your stomach is saying something else. Is Kangmas still not hungry?" Jaka Tease.

Jaka could only bow down embarrassed. speechless could not say a word to reply to the words of Dewi Mayasari.

"How about Kangmas come with me to the dining room?" invite Goddess Mayasari. "again soon the day begins to dark. We better hurry in before it gets dark."

"Ba, all right, Nyimas." Immediately follow the steps of Dewi Mayasari while bowing shyly.

Time to change. Mpu Fencing Maya had been lying ill for almost a month. Both Jaka and Dewi Mayasari remain devoted to caring for and looking forward to the healing of Mpu Fencing Maya.

Some night..

Mpu Fencing Maya fell asleep with Dewi Mayasari who was standing guard beside her.

Dewi Mayasari forced herself to stand guard even though drowsiness continued to attack her.

Jaka came back after doing something and saw the state of Goddess Mayasari. It made him feel sorry for Goddess Mayasari if he let her keep watching.

Jaka patted the shoulder of Goddess Mayasari and said quietly, "Nyimas, rest! Let me wait and take care of Master" Jaka said. He increasingly felt unbearable to let Goddess Mayasari keep on guard.

Goddess Mayasari gasped and opened her eyes, "Ah, that's fine! Let me accompany Father tonight."

"Your eyes are like that. It's not good that you push yourself too much" Jaka said, "you should go get some rest. Let me keep watch" said Jaka again.

Goddess Mayasari said, "Alright, I will go back to the room and rest. Kangmas too, remember to rest and don't push yourself, "he said to Jaka before getting up and rushing to leave his father's room.

"Well," Jaka replied.

In the middle of the night, Mpu Fencing Maya awake. He saw Jaka who was awake beside him.

"Teacher, Master is awake. Does the teacher need anything?" Approaching Mpu Fencing Maya.

Mpu Fencing Maya shook her head slowly.

"Or maybe Master is feeling a little thirsty?"

Mpu Fencing Maya was silent for a moment, as if she was filtering Jaka's words. Then he nodded in response to Jaka's offer.

Jaka hastened swiftly to take the water that has been prepared, then gave it to his teacher with full devotion.

Mpu Fencing Maya Grabbing the water that Jaka thrust, gulp it slowly until the remaining half.

"Where did the Goddess go?" Ask slowly.

"I told him to rest! I can't bear to see him pushing himself to keep watch with his condition."

"James.."

"What's up, Master?"

"I want to tell you something. It can't be continuous for me to cover up."

"What does the teacher want to say?"

"Before I really expected you wouldn't hate me after I said this. For the sake of something else, I had to cover it up from you all this time."

"Teacher, what does Master really want to tell me?"

"This is about your identity that you have always been looking for all this time" said Mpu Fencing Maya. Jaka was stunned, he could not reply to anything. "before I explain, I really hope you forgive what I've done all this time."

"Although Master hid it from my sight all along, I believe Master did it for my own good."

"That's a good thing about you. No matter how much you're going through, you're still breastfed."

Mpu Fencing Maya fell silent for a moment and sighed. The pull felt heavy, then took it out while closing its eyes.

"As for who and where the family you've been looking for all this time, I only know the figure of your grandfather who is still alive, while your parents are both .." Mpu Fencing Maya stopped her speech.

"Does my parents still have the possibility of living?"

Mpu Fencing Maya shook her head slowly. He didn't want to comment too deeply about it.

Mpu Fencing Maya did not answer. Jaka knew from the teacher's response, he could conclude that his parents were dead.

Even though his heart felt sadness, he still had a chest. Think positively. Maybe this is the best for him.

"Teacher, thank you! Now my heart is a little at ease after hearing that."

A clear water thread dripped down slowly soaking his cheeks.

"Ah, Teacher, I'm sorry! Suddenly I feel sad!" Trying to drive away the sadness while wiping the water that soaked his cheeks.

"I know you must be sad to hear from them. At least I don't have to keep this from you."

Jaka still felt his sadness. "I don't blame Master" said Jaka. "I think this might be best for me. Regardless of Master or not I know about their news. I will definitely still feel this kind of sadness."

"I hope you won't hate me for this."

"Teacher, how can I hate Master? After what I've been doing all this time, how could I have done that."

"Yes, I say thank you for that."

"I should be the one to thank Master, not the one to thank. If Master hadn't helped me in the past, maybe I wouldn't be able to live my life anymore" Jaka recalled.

"Ah, I still have a debt of greeting to you the other day regarding the meaning of life. Do you want to hear it?"

Jaka nodded.

"The last one is willing to be breastfed for all that you experience and you live. Be grateful for everything you have, take the test you face patiently, and forgive all the mistakes of those who hurt you. That way you'll always feel the calm in your life."

"I'll remember, Master!"

"Ah, I forgot, Master!"

"Is there anything you want to ask?"

"Yes, Teacher. I wonder, who is my Grandfather and where is he now?"

"All right, I'll tell you. He is the most respected man in this kingdom, His Majesty King Baskara Nara Diningrat."

Jaka was surprised to hear the figure of his grandfather. He was a little unconvinced by what he heard.

"So what Uncle Suwira and Aunt Lasmi said was true" Jaka said.

"Actually your grandfather knew you lived in my place, only he didn't want me to tell you that. Let you know later, he said."

Jaka speechless. There was not a single word he wanted to say at that moment. Sculpting and sighing, that was all he could do.

"You, rest! I'm going back to sleep. Don't make your body tired" asked Mpu Fencing Maya on Jaka.

"Well, Master," he replied obediently. "i'm resigning," he added.

Jaka got up, then left the room, while Mpu Fencing Maya closed her eyes again and fell asleep.

A bright morning..

Jaka is still asleep. He does not usually wake up when the day has gone.

He went to clean up, then prepared to see the state of his teacher.

Before he came out of his room, the sound of a quick knock on the door and the sound that called out to him made him quickly dissipate.

"Nyimas, what are you doing here?" He was amazed by her arrival and his sad face.

"Grass! A, Father.. Ayahandu.."

Jaka felt something bad had happened. "What happened to Master?" ask Jaka worriedly.

"Yahujana.. " Dare not say what happened. I can only cry and cry.
