Necklaces

"You're not kidding me, are you, telling me to resign? Come on, May, why stop? You should be able to resolve the misunderstanding!"

Amaya only fell silent with attention fixed on the teacup in front of her. He felt he was so sure his decision was right. There is no use at all to keep working with someone who suspects him, even though he is aware of being wrong for not being honest.

"May!" Fhea touching Amaya's soft hand made her attention distracted. He smiled gently in response to Fhea's words. "You should know, Mr. Dave isn't okay!"

Amaya's lips were still tightly clenched, there was no comment from her on Fhea's remarks about Dave.

"Sir Dave is often angry, even Sekar who was asked while being his secretary has raised his hand. Yesterday he cried because he was yelled at by Mr. Dave!" Fhea distanced her hands, sighing harshly with a gaze fixed on Amaya.

"Fhe, I'll go to the room for a second, yeah!" Amaya immediately stood up and left Fhea in the living room.

"May, what's wrong? Why is his face so sad!" Amaya tries to act calm as she walks into the room and sees her grandmother being there. He was watching with a look of wonder.

Amaya shook her head and chose to open the closet door to pick something up. She holds a strong necklace with a butterfly pendulum that Dave gave to her.

Amaya held her breath, clasped tightly onto the necklace and steadied her by taking it out. He chose to ignore his grandmother who was just silently watching.

"Fhe, can I ask you a favor?" Amaya sat down again and with some hesitation she handed the necklace to Fhea.

"What does this mean, May?" Amaya smiles at the knot even though her heart feels sore considering how Dave wore the necklace to her. "Whose necklace is it for?"

"Please give it to Dave, yeah. I forgot to give the necklace back!" amaya said with stifling bated breath.

Hearing Amaya's words made Fhea's eyes grow bigger. He nodded and firmly rejected it. "I don't want to!"

Fhea returned the necklace to Amaya. He sighed softly and then frowned. "What exactly happened until you had to do this?"

Amaya fell silent, reluctant to give any answer to Fhea. He only noticed the necklace in his hand. "If you want to give it back, don't go through me or anyone. Do it yourself!"

"I can't, Fhe!"

"Why?" Fhea fused her eyebrows watching Amaya who was still silent.

"I ... Fhe, he doubted me. I honestly can't be suspected like this, I'm afraid that if I stay by her side, Danu will keep acting up!"

"Andu?" Amaya nodded. "Mister Dave's brother?"

"Yes!" Amaya sighed softly then smiled warmly at Fhea. "So you can, right, give this back for him?"

"Hey!" Fhea received the necklace back then nodded. "Okay, but I don't want to take responsibility if there's anything!"

Amaya feels so different working in a new place. Usually he would always say hello to Dave and bring coffee at the same time, he thought the task he had done for six more months would be easily forgotten. But apparently not!

"Mom!"

"Ah, huh?" Amaya tried to smile kindly, even though it felt heavy. The man before him had almost the same stature as Dave, even the voice of the man was the same.

Amaya choked when she first heard her voice, her pupils dilated to see the figure of the sweet smiling man and then hurriedly turned her eyes in the other direction.

"Is there Mr Karyo?"

"Some, I'll call you." Amaya immediately left the man to call Mr. Karyo who he wanted to meet.

He looked at the man who actually did not bear any resemblance. He sighed softly and chose to concern himself with not paying attention to the man.

With hesitation, Amaya chooses to meet Mita who replaces Sekar as Dave's secretary.

"Sir Dave is?" Mita who was busy in front of the computer was surprised and stopped her activities. Fhea grinned as Mita looked at him in annoyance. "Sori, but Mr Dave is there?"

"There! Just enter!"

"Gee!" Fhea was shocked then felt cold sweat begin to wet her forehead. "Just go in? Anter, dong!"

Mita shook her head and decided to get back busy with her work. "Come, dong. It's for Amaya!"

Mita frowned. Looking at Fhea doubtfully. "You sure?"

"Yes! Lying time!" said Fhea a little annoyed because Mita even doubted him.

"Is there a file you want to give me?" Fhea's body froze hearing Dave's voice, her eyes widened as she gulped down her rough saliva.

Damn for Fhea when Mita chose to pretend not to know anything.

"Sir!"

"You're not here with the files?" Fhea shakes. He looked down in fear with a sharp look full of intimidation Dave.

Just a week after Amaya left, the man's change was so drastic.

"I don't have much time. Hurry up and say what you want to do?"

Fhea handed over the necklace from Amaya to Dave. "Yesterday I went to Amaya's place and he left the necklace to me to return it to Mr. Dave!"

There was no response from Dave. The man was silent with a glare at the necklace.

The flash when he bought the necklace made him want to throw the necklace. However, he chose to undo it and put the necklace into the pocket of the suit.

"Mita, I'm going to go see a client. If anyone's looking for me, just tell me I can't be bothered!"

"Good, Sir!"

Dave left without saying anything to Fhea who was relieved.

In the elevator, Dave took the necklace. He watched the necklace with the butterfly pendulum become the last thing he bought for Amaya. He asked the woman to keep it and now the necklace came back to him.

"Am I being too much, May? But, I was heartbroken when I found out you chose to lie!"

Dave had absolutely no idea when Danu said so calmly about her feelings for Amaya. In the past, Danu often told Amaya to him. However, Dave did not think at all that the woman told him was Amaya.

Danu loves Amaya and forcefully asks her to release Amaya. "Sorry, May. I was wrong!"

He got out of the elevator. Ignoring employees who greet him and get out of the office.

His steps came to a halt when someone was right standing in front of him. Blocking that step. Dave put the necklace back in his pocket and chose to ignore Danu who was standing in front of him.

"I'm busy!"

"Aren't you going to tell me where Amaya lives?" Dave clenched his hand. He did not expect that Danu was so determined to chase after Amaya who chose to leave.

"You took it off and now it's my turn to go after him!" Dave squinted his eyes and turned to look at Danu sharply.
