Amaya avoids the questions of her grandmother and mother. He always reasoned to be on leave for a few days and after that chose to pretend not to listen.
"Today's Mom's therapy schedule, right?"
"Yes. I'm so grateful, Dave's son is so kind that he wants to pay for all of my medical expenses." It's been almost a week at home, praise to Dave is unrelenting Amaya heard. However, the compliment did not make Amaya interested in mentioning his name.
"He's good, Mom!"
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to Bi Nani's house. There's something I have to do!" Her mother's bright face turned cloudy. Amaya realized, calling the name of the woman who had damaged her mother's household at home was the wrong thing.
The pain will always be remembered. The entwined familiarity was successfully severed for good due to betrayal.
"What are you going to do there?" asked the middle-aged woman sitting in the wheelchair in a calm voice.
"Later I'll tell you, but now I have to go first!" Amaya decides to go to Nani's house on foot because of the distance of their house that is not too far away.
He decided to accept the offer of the woman to work in a cooperative. It was supposed to be Tina who worked there, but the girl who had just graduated from college refused. He wanted to work in a city like himself.
"You've finally come too. So how, have you decided?" Amaya nodded, she ignored the happy face of the woman who had made her hate her so much.
"When can I work?"
"Auntie can't decide. But now we go to the cooperative first and then you will explain everything the same Mr. Yakup!"
Amaya nodded. He just according to when he had to go to the cooperative, because it was better than long-time alone with Nani, the person he obviously did not like.
"We're on the bike" Nani asked.
"no need. I can go there myself!" reject Amaya, but Nani's words managed to make him want to accept the woman's invitation to be piggybacked.
Luckily the distance of the house to the cooperative is not too far away. There they met Mr. Yakup who was the chairman.
Amaya was employed in the secretary's department. Of course he won't refuse. He hopes that by working in a cooperative he can raise money to pay for everything Dave has spent.
Amaya doesn't want to owe Dave anything at all, she doesn't want to deal with the guy at all.
"Thank you, Mr. Yakup. Tomorrow I'll be on time!"
"That's great, May. I love your spirit. Actually it's been a long time you want to ask you to work here, but knowing you need a lot of money for your mother, you choose not to do it."
Amaya simply smiled in response to the man's always friendly remark to anyone.
Amaya and Nani decide to go home. Nani again offers Amaya to be hugged, but this time Amaya refuses.
He does not want to linger with Nani because the memory of his mother's suffering is always imagined.
"May, if you're on the phone with your boyfriend, it says from Aunt thank you, yes. He's really good at hiring Tina in his office."
Amaya just cleared her throat and decided to go home first, even on the road she met her father and Amaya again decided to ignore it. He was not ready to talk at all.
"Amaya!" Amaya fell silent. His body felt stiff as he heard a familiar voice calling out. He turned around and stared fixedly at the figure standing before him.
"May!" His body feels so light. He did not respond at all to the embrace he received. "Hey, what's wrong with you? A week away you've changed?"
"No. I'm just surprised. Why are you here?" Amaya looked at Fhea suspiciously. He did not expect his best friend would meet him suddenly.
"You curious? Heem, I don't want to tell you. Secrets, dong!"
