"Sir, why are we here? Didn't Mr. Dave tell you to take me to the boarding house?" amaya asked in surprise when Dave asked Mr. Budi to take them to school on holidays.

"I want you to go to our school first. Even though you didn't go to school here until graduation, you're still one of the students here!"

Amaya looked at her school first. Nothing has changed. Since she decided to return to live in the city, Amaya has never visited her old school. "Still the same, sir!" said Amaya who was still watching their school from afar.

"We're in, yuk!"

Amaya looked at Dave doubtfully. "Just calm down, no one will ban us."

"Sir Dave sure?" Dave was happy. He decided to get out first, after that opened the door for Amaya who looked so hesitant to get out of the car.

"Sir, just wait here! We won't be long." Dave takes Amaya to school.

They did not enter through the front gate because it was padlocked. Dave invites Amaya into the secret passage.

"Sir Dave sure? The walls are high, sir!" Amaya looked up at the towering wall in front of them.

Dave invites him to climb the wall and Amaya is sure he will not be able to do it. "We'll just go home, sir. I can't climb it!"

Dave chuckled softly. He pulls Amaya to the back side of the school and sees a gap between the walls. He entered first with a sideways lead followed by Amaya.

After being able to enter the school through the gap they laughed together, Amaya only knew if there was a secret way. He squinted his eyes, staring at Dave. "Sir Dave used to love going down that road?"

"you reckon? Do you think I've never done any mischief?"

"Once, what do I want to say?"

Dave shaking. He took Amaya's hand. Inviting Amaya to the school building rather than discussing about things that will inevitably lead to painful memories.

On the basketball court in the middle of the school building, Amaya stopped. He looked up, his gaze fixed on the rooftop on his left side. Sighs softly considering the fateful incident that afternoon.

He remembered where he was and David was there. Amaya witnesses David stepping on his own glasses, crying hysterically after receiving ill-treatment from other students for being accused of stealing. Not only that, David is tired of the bad deeds of Dave and his gang.

Amaya turned her head, she smiled faintly and pointed at the rooftop. "There David ended his life, sir, and I can't do anything." Amaya sighed, she was sorry and wanted the time to be played back.

"Sorry, May. You must have been scared by then!" Amaya nodded. He gets a look of accusation from all his friends, thinking it was him who had encouraged David to end his life. At that time, there was Dave who just kept watching.

Not giving Amaya a chance to explain and make her decide to change schools.

"I want to take you somewhere!"

Amaya looked at Dave. He just let Dave take her to one of the classes. Whether he can get the key from where, Dave can open the door and invite Amaya in.

"Well remember what's going on here?" ask Dave. He chose to sit on his stool first, while Amaya stood in front of the class while remembering what happened to Dave. "Forgot?"

"What happened?"

"Huh. I just remember, when you forgot!"

Amaya squinted her eyes. He had absolutely no recollection of what Dave meant. There was so much going on in school and all about the unpleasant.

"You were standing there, holding the jasmine you brought out of nowhere ...."

Amaya turns her back, considering what Dave meant. He approached Dave who chuckled softly at his reaction then covered Dave's mouth with his palm.

"Sir Dave why do you remember that embarrassing incident, anyway?" mooed Amaya because she was upset.

He walked away and sat in the teacher's chair. "That moment became the most favorite. Look at your face flushed with embarrassment, but I'm sorry I turned you down, May!" Amaya nodded in understanding.

Amaya sighed softly. He read the writing on the teacher's desk. A thin smile offended on his lips then his index finger carved the writing.

"It looks like the nickname of the fierce teacher is still held by Bu Yuni, sir. Here there is a faint scrawl of students that Bu Yuni is a fierce teacher!"

"really?" Dave approached Amaya. Read the writing that Amaya meant and chuckle slowly.

The next moment they discussed the behavior of the teachers first. Unknowingly half an hour they were in the classroom just to discuss the behavior of the teachers.

"May, I want to take you somewhere. It's just a little while after that I'll take you home!"

"Where, sir?"

"Cantin!" dave replied excitedly. "I want to unlock a secret to you" whispered Dave who made Amaya agree to follow Dave.

They went to the cafeteria that looked empty. The tables are so neat, unlike school days where the canteen becomes a favorite place for students. Amaya and Dave are no exception.

Dave brought Amaya to sit in the corner, even Dave forced Amaya to sit where she used to sit.

Dave sat down in front of Amaya and grabbed her hand. "Maybe it seems far-fetched, but I'll be honest. Maybe in the future there will be a lot of surprises!"

Amaya chose silence. Waiting for Dave's next speech. "To be honest, every time you sit here with a variety of reactions, be it fear or anxiety, I always enjoy it. I used to think it was good to see you suffer, but it was wrong, May. I enjoy every reaction you show out of liking. I couldn't tell the difference."

Amaya pulled her hand. He stared in disbelief at Dave with that remark. "Sir Dave ngaco. How could Mr. Dave have liked me a long time ago!"

"Maybe it's just an excuse for you, but I'm serious, May!" dave really meant it.

Amaya becomes clumsy with Dave's gaze. He did not know what to say and chose to stand up from his seat. "We've been here too long, sir. We better get home!"

Amaya decided to leave first. However, his steps stopped after listening to Dave's words which made him even more confused to react.

"May, you want to, don't you, accept me? I promise I'll fix everything until there's no more pain left in your heart!"

Amaya hears footsteps approaching, she notices his hand reaching out to Dave and turns to look at Dave who looks different in just a few seconds. "May, you want to, right?"

"God, what do I have to answer?"

"May, answer me, dong! It doesn't matter if you still don't feel the same way about me, let me bring that feeling to your heart again. I just want you to say yes!"

Amaya sighed softly. A little upset by Dave's words that forced him to accept. "Basic maksa!"

"How is your engagement?"

Dave's forehead wrinkled faintly. He shook his head and let go of his grasp. "I don't have a fiancee. Gabriella is forever just a cousin, her sister Ari. That's all!"

"Surely sure?"

Dave nodded. "So how? We're not going home if you don't give us an answer! And the answer must be yes!" dave's assertive makes Amaya upset.

"If so what else should I answer if only one answer you want!"

"Well, dong!" Dave was so excited and immediately grabbed Amaya's hand. He clasped the hand and took her away from the school through the front gate, not the secret passage they had been through with great difficulty.

"We're through here?" amaya asked confused.

Dave simply nodded and pointed towards the guard post where there was a security guard there.
