He is, Amaya

He is, Amaya
It's Always the Same

A young woman sat quietly while watching some formally dressed men talking seriously. The man sitting beside her occasionally smiled faintly at the woman's serious face.

"Are you hungry, Amaya?" whispered the man who made Amaya—the woman's name—became a misbehavior.

Amaya looked at the man while shaking her head. However, the man ended their meeting. He also did not hesitate to evict his clients. Of course it surprised Amaya, but the man said casually, "I know you will definitely not be comfortable eating in front of them!"

"Sir Dave, but ...."

Amaya pasrah's. The man is annoying and can never be denied. He finally complied by eating the pre-ordered food.

Amaya calmly enjoys her lunch after an hour of accompanying Dave to a meeting with a client. He was not at all bothered by Dave's gaze being fixed on him.

"You're teasing me again?" asked Dave who never looked at him. The tall man was sitting relaxed while leaning his back on the single sofa with his left foot resting on his right foot.

Amaya looked at Dave in wonder as she put down her glass of juice. "I mean, Sir?" amaya asked confused. Instead of getting an answer, Amaya is increasingly confused by Dave's annoying behavior.

The man changed his seat, he took a glass of Amaya juice and practiced what he had done earlier. "Look. The way you drink like a seductress!" dave said after that put the glass back.

Amaya snorts annoyed, not because of Dave's remarks about seductresses, but Dave who drinks using a straw belonging to Amaya. "Huh. That's just your mind!" He again snorted small and chose to ignore Dave who always just said annoying things. During the six months she worked as Dave's secretary, not once did Amaya feel her life was at ease. There are things Dave is worried about.

Dave raised one eyebrow, he laughed softly and sat back in his original position. As if what happened just now, never existed.

"Done!" Amaya no longer tastes to eat.

"Just ate five mouthfuls, full?" ask Dave lightly. He looked at the lousy Amaya who ignited the woman's emotions and finally chose to go back to enjoying her food in silence. "I think you're afraid of fat so quickly full or it's just pretend. Or is your boyfriend forbidden to eat a lot? Your chubby cheeks used to be adorable!" Dave even rolled his eyes.

Amaya does not touch Dave's words and eats quickly to be free from Dave's behavior to him.

For a while, Dave said nothing. He went a little away leaving Amaya to receive a call from someone.

"She said that my boyfriend was banned? Chubby's cheeks are adorable?" gerutu Amaya was upset when she recalled Dave's words. "When he used to say fat women were disgusting."

"It's over?" Amaya chokes when Dave suddenly returns. He looked up at Dave and nodded nervously, afraid that Dave would hear his words. However, it seemed that Dave did not hear when he saw the puzzled look of the man.

"Why?"

Amaya shakes. He rubbed around his lips with a tissue and stood up. "Come on!"

Dave came out of his room. He approached Amaya who was busy with some work that he had to finish.

Amaya ignores Dave, ignoring him when he knocks on his desk. "Not coming home?"

"No, yet" Amaya replied without staring at Dave and focusing only on his computer screen.

Dave nodded. He rolled his shirt arm up to his elbow and sat on the edge of Amaya's desk. "Aren't you afraid to be alone in the office? Want me to go with you?"

Amaya sighed softly then looked at Dave who was also looking at her with a meaningful smile. "Sir Dave just go home. I have to finish this report so that tomorrow you can just re-read it. There are some employees who are still overtime, so no problem." After saying so, Amaya refocused on the report she had to hand over to Dave tomorrow morning.

"What I said on this floor. You're not scared? Though what I heard said in the hallway is that the night likes an apparition!" Dave pointed the hallway towards the toilet that looked dim with his chin then he stood tidying up his slightly messy hair.

"I'm not afraid, sir. Mr. Dave please just go home." Amaya looked at Dave very upset. This day he was always by Dave's side until he forgot there was still work he hadn't finished.

After making sure Dave got into the elevator, Amaya was relieved. He was done with his report and immediately printed the report before returning home.

That's when the phone rings. His smile expands, annoyed and tired from a day of work paid off when he heard the voice of the man who had been his lover for several months. A man who was so considerate and always a place for Amaya to complain. "Hi, have you arrived?" ask Amaya while tidying up her things.

"Okay, it took me about fifteen minutes. You wait a minute in the lobby or you just want to come up here" said Amaya. He sighed softly, his gaze currently fixed on the passageway towards the toilet.

Just then accidentally the look in his eyes caught a fast-moving silhouette. At once Dave's words flashed in his mind and he could not hear clearly what his lover was saying.

"Oh, yes. I'm done, you wait a minute there, yeah ...." Amaya stared at her phone screen in wonder. The signal was full, but suddenly the call was interrupted. "Oh!"

Before moving to the elevator, Amaya took a moment to look at the hallway on her left, feeling afraid if what Dave said was true she rushed off and into the elevator.

Amaya tried to catch her breath. He leaned his body against the wall and closed his eyes for a moment. Because he was afraid of running. Things he never did while working in the office.

Running around for fear of ghosts.

"Amaya!" Hearing the voice of her lover calling, Amaya opened her eyes. She smiled and breathed a sigh of relief as she reached the lobby and when the elevator door opened, her lover became the first person she saw. He then got out of the elevator. "What's wrong?"

Amaya shakes. He hugged his girlfriend's body. Having a high comparison that far makes Amaya must tiptoe to embrace him. "Huh. I was so scared. But, yeah, that's it. We go home now" said Amaya after letting go of her embrace. He pulled his girlfriend's hand out of the office building.

"Is there a place you want to go before you go home?"

Amaya put her seatbelt on. He paused for a moment to determine which place they would go for a while. The thing they always do for a moment to unwind after a day of work.

"Where are you going to the movies?" ask Amaya enthusiastically.

"You sure?"

Amaya seemed to think and nodded. "So Fhea said there was a good film that just aired from yesterday."

"What movie?"

"Door!" amaya replied calmly then after that she swallowed her rough saliva. Just now he was experiencing a less wearing thing because of Dave's speech and now he invites to watch a horror movie. "I don't think so!"

Without asking what was the reason Amaya canceled their impromptu plan, the man who was driving at medium speed only nodded. He doesn't seem to be bothering about it at all. "Eating in angkringan, how? It's been two weeks, right, we don't eat in angkringan!"

"Can too. You decide the place." Amaya decided which place they would go. He was replying to a message from someone who just kept bothering him and it was annoying.

"As usual!"

Amaya clucked so hard that she made her lover look in wonder. "Why?"

"Huh?" Amaya turned her head and she got even more upset when there was a call coming in. "Yes, sir, what's wrong?"

Amaya's eyes are perfectly rounded. He was so upset by what he heard. "But, sir, I'm home!" He tried to resist, but he finally nodded and sighed softly.

"What's wrong?"

"Design plan. Let's go to the office first, yuk. Someone's left in Mr. Dave's room!" Amaya stared unsettledly at her lover who said without rebutting and looked annoyed. "Always so!"
