He is, Amaya

He is, Amaya
Can I Be Savvy, May?

By late afternoon they had reached Amaya's house. Dave insisted on staying at Amaya's house instead of staying at the house of someone who helped him yesterday.

"Sir Dave sure? But, in my house there are only three rooms and that .. eem I can not allow Mr. Dave and Mr. Budi to use one of them!"

Amaya explains the simple state of her home. He hopes Dave will undo his intention to stay at home, even though there is a grandmother who will sleep at home.

"No problem, May. I can sleep in the living room. You can sleep in the living room or in the car!"

Amaya watched Dave suspiciously. Feeling strange to Dave who was so stubbornly refusing to stay at the inn. "Sir Dave's having nightmares again?"

Dave simply cleared his throat and chose to sit on the aged sofa. The edges are a little torn. "So, I can stay here, right, May? At least there's you, I'm calm."

"Can!"

"Thank you, yeah."

"If so I go to the kitchen first, I want to cook. Mr. Dave can take a shower first, the bathroom's outside too. Must be a warning after a tour!"

Dave got up, walked out to approach Mr. Budi. Amaya does not waste her time, she will cook so that when her grandmother comes home the food is ready.

While taking out the ingredients, Amaya hears a familiar female voice outside the house. Curious about what happened, he decided to leave.

Amaya sees Dave talking to Tina and her mother. He chose to leave them, lazy to meet them. However, Tina called out to him which made Amaya approach them.

"She's my guest, Ma'am, why even forced to stay here?"

Next to Amaya's eyebrows raised, looking at Tina who was angry at him with a look of wonder. "meaning?"

"Huh. Get him your boss so you force him to stay at your house! Aye, right?"

"I told you, tomorrow we'll be back so it's easy for me to stay here!" Dave opened his voice.

"You heard it yourself, right? Mending you home, take your mother!" ousted Amaya, he glanced at the cynical middle-aged woman who had been watching him ever since.

Feeling defeated, Tina stomped her feet in annoyance. He said it when his mother brought him home.

"I didn't know you knew each other!"

"We're distant relatives, her mother my mother's cousin!" amaya replied trying to stay calm. Didn't expect Tina to talk like that to herself. "So, last night Mr. Dave stayed at their house!"

"Yes, that woman forced her to stay at her house. He lied, said your house is still far away!"

Amaya snorted annoyed. She should know, Tina would definitely do that. Judging from Tina's attitude alone can be guessed if she likes Dave. "Alright, tonight Mr. Dave and Mr. Budi just stay here!"

The two are currently sitting on the porch, accompanied by a plate of fried bananas and coffee for Dave.

Some time Amaya chose silence while watching the night sky, only a few stars. "May I ask you something?"

Amaya simply nodded, without turning her eyes to the stars. "Is your relationship and your father not good?" Amaya looked at Dave and nodded. "real right. But, what happened until you got so far away from her?"

"Sir Dave remembers Tina's mother?"

"of course. Aunty is very good, in contrast to her son who makes it uncomfortable. But, what's up?"

"Before, before marrying father and Aunt Nani dating. Unfortunately, Dad chose to marry Mom and move to the city. But, after nearly seventeen years of living in the city we decided to return to live here. Back then, they met again and .. well, they re-established the relationship."

Amaya smiled faintly watching Dave who plucked the fried banana and ate it voraciously. "Your mom knows?" ask Dave with a mouth full of fried bananas.

"certain. I told Mom that I was so fed up with Dad's behavior. It turns out they don't just do it once, every chance they always do."

"That's it, I don't want to talk about it anymore!" Amaya stood up. He decided to go in, but he came back again. "Sir Dave can use my room. Let Mr. Budi sleep in the living room, or it's up to you!"

Amaya nodded. "Good night!" Amaya quickly enters after giving a farewell smile to Dave who looks excited.

He went into his grandmother's room, which was asleep. Looking at the middle-aged woman, Amaya felt guilty. He realized that what his grandmother said was right, should not continue to silence his own father. However, given all the betrayals that made her mother suffer it was very difficult for her to forget.

Amaya is shocked to see Dave still asleep on the floor of her room. He crouched down, waking up Dave who looked so good.

"What was last night a nightmare again?"

Amaya touches Dave's arm and wiggles him slowly, but Dave is so deep he doesn't wake up either. "Sir, awake. It's morning!"

"Mrs Maya, Mr. Dave just got to bed at dawn!" Amaya looked towards the door of her room. There's Mr. Budi there. "Evening I accompanied Mas Dave to stay up late because he couldn't sleep!"

Amaya stand. "Is it a nightmare again, sir?"

"No, Neng. Dave could not sleep. He said entering Neng Maya's room and looking at the photos made Mas Dave afraid to sleep!"

Amaya noticed the photos she had stuck on the wall of her room. He sighed softly then watched Dave who was sleeping so soundly. "Yes already. I'll get ready for us back in town, sir!"

Before exiting the room, Amaya took all the photos on the wall. He'll throw it away. He felt that there was no use anymore photos of David continue to display.

Dave must have been very sad to see David's picture. Their friend who was also a victim of bullying and decided to end his life at school.

Amaya passes Dave's body sleeping on the floor mattress and goes out to dispose of all the photos.

"What did you throw away, Nduk?"

"The photos of Maya are the same as David, Grandma! Maya won't keep remembering David!" Amaya not only threw it away, she also burned it along with the trash.

"Why was it burned? Said David was Maya's best friend? Remembering it is okay, Nduk, nothing is forbidden!"

"But, because look at this photo there are those who can't sleep, Grandma. Maya doesn't want to keep that person suffering. Poor thing!" maya said while continuing to pay attention to the growing fire.

He'll make sure the photos are all on fire. "Who, Nduk? Dave?"

Amaya nodded. "Oh, that's how you do it anyway. Is he your schoolmate also in town?"

"Yes, Grandma!" Amaya becomes misbehaved when she looks at Dave who has woken up. "Sir Dave?"

The man approached them. Not paying attention to his messy appearance after waking up. "Yo wes, Grandma come in first to turn off the stove!"

"Thank you, May. But why are you doing this?" asked Dave after a glance at the flames that began to shrink.

"It's enough Mr. Dave is suffering. I want Mr. Dave to forget everything and live quietly."

Dave grabbed Amaya's hand and held her tight. He also did not hesitate to kiss the back of Amaya's hand. "Can I get a spade, May? You do everything because you have the same feelings as me?"

Amaya pulled her hand rough. "Sokay know!" Amaya was wrong. "Mending Mr. Dave take a shower and we're back in town!" Amaya leaves Dave who is smiling himself looking at her behavior.

"May, you like it, don't you, same me? You're still in love, right, so you want to do that?" Dave follows Amaya who is cleaning up her room.

"May, answer me, dong."

"I don't want to answer Mr. Dave's question right now!" amaya answered while busy folding the floor mattress that Dave did not clean up. Eagerly he nagged the irresponsible Dave, but he refrained from doing so.

"Yes, I took a shower. After that give me an answer, yes!" Dave left immediately.

Amaya glanced over to where Dave had been standing. He let out a rough breath and sat on the bed. "What should I give you?" amaya gumam.

He is self-conscious, though he still holds feelings for Dave. Having that man is inappropriate. Their social status is very different. Like the heavens and the earth. Hard combined.
