To avoid Palasik, the Minangkabau community has several ways. One of them is by attaching a branch of a tree over the door of the house, because it is said that Palasik is very afraid of the palanquin. In addition, there are also those who put pandan flowers under a chair or bed, because Palasik is also said to be afraid of the smell of pandanus.
