PART 17 MYSTERY OF LASTRI'S DEATH

Ki Sabrang has just moved to leave his kingdom in Blambangan Banyuwangi to Mount Lawu. But Ki Sabrang's inner eyes get an appearance in the sky in the form of a mystical aura emanating from a certain area. The mystical aura's radiance looked extremely powerful through the seventh heaven, like embers that would not be extinguished. Soon Ki Sabrang departed to the location in the dark of the night during the lunar eclipse.

The location turned out to be a banyan tree in a temple complex relics of the Majapahit Kingdom, namely in the Trowulan area. Trowulan, Mojokerto is one of the areas in East Java that has many remnants of Majapahit Kingdom buildings, so it is often considered as the center of the kingdom. Trowulan is also known as a haunted area and is considered to have many myths and horror stories.

One of the famous myths in the Trowulan area is about the existence of the "Queen of the South". That said, the Queen of the South was a beautiful woman who became the ruler after her husband died. However, he was very greedy and often asked for tribute from his people. When the people were no longer able to pay tribute, the Queen of the South cursed them and cursed that all their descendants would become poor and unhappy.

In addition, there is also a story about the existence of "Devil Bridge" which is a bridge that is considered mystical and associated with the existence of subtle creatures. That said, this bridge was once used by people to contact other worlds. However, as time went on, the bridge became very haunted and many people avoided it.

Not only that, there is also a myth about the "Devil Banyan Tree" located near the Rat temple complex. That said, this banyan tree became the meeting place of shamans and spirits at night. The local people believe that the tree is believed to be a gathering place for evil spirits who become residents around Trowulan. The banyan tree that emits such mystical aura is the "Devil Banyan Tree" located in the Rat Temple Complex.

At one time the reign of king Brawijaya, when the Majapahit Kingdom was still victorious in Java, Patih Gajah Mada received a revelation from Sang Hyang Tunggal to create a magical heirloom that was able to help the papa Patih Gajah Mada's oath be fulfilled and guarantee the success of the Majapahit Kingdom and its power forever. Patih Gajah Mada knew that in order to create the magic heirloom, he needed rare materials that only the powerful Mpu could find.

Mpu Gandring is the name of a metal craft expert who came from Java in the Majapahit kingdom. Historically, Mpu Gandring initially refused to make keris for Patih Gajah Mada, because it felt disliked by Patih Gajah Mada. However, Patih Gajah Mada managed to convince Mpu Gandring and made him agree to make a magic keris for him, which was named Keris Punggul Tunggul Amukti Palapa.

Keris Tunggul Amukti Palapa heirloom became a very important weapon for Patih Gajah Mada in conquering several kingdoms in Indonesia according to his oath of palapa. The kris is believed to have magical powers that make it invincible, and became a symbol of the greatness of the Majapahit kingdom.

Despite having given the Tunggul Amukti Palapa heritage to Patih Gajah Mada, Mpu Gandring had to pay a heavy price for his decision. During his next meeting with Patih Gajah Mada, he was killed by Patih Gajah Mada with a keris he had made, because he considered Mpu Gandring as a traitor and brought disaster to the Majapahit kingdom. But before he died, Mpu Gandring had condemned Keris Tunggul Amukti Palapa as the destructive keris of Majapahit Kingdom.

Patih Gajah Mada who feared the curse of the keris, along with a number of courtiers and craftsmen made plans to build a temple complex specifically built to place the magic heirloom. They chose a very sacred place and were considered a natural energy center in the Trowulan area of Mojokerto. However, in the process of building the Tikus temple complex, Patih Gajah Mada and his courtiers were faced with a big problem: they could not find a suitable banyan tree to be planted in the temple complex. In fact, according to Javanese belief, the banyan tree is a sacred tree that is needed to balance natural energy in a sacred place.

Patih Gajah Mada felt very confused and did not know what to do. However, one night, he got a revelation from Sang Hyang Tunggal who told him that the banyan tree he was looking for had actually grown by itself in the Tikus temple complex. The banyan tree grows magically and is believed to be a devil banyan tree that will be inhabited by mouse stealth that guard the Keris Tunggul Amukti Palapa.

Patih Gajah Mada and the courtiers finally managed to plant Keris Tunggul Amukti Palapa heirloom in the devil's banyan tree, and presents the Tikus temple complex as a sacred place that is very important for the glory of the Majapahit Kingdom. Gradually after Patih Gajah Mada moksa, the Tikus temple complex was actually inhabited by a herd of mouse stealth as well as the keeper of Keris Punggul Tunggul Amukti Palapa.

Ki Sabrang managed to arrive at the desolate and terrifying Tikus temple complex. There was no sound except the sound of Ki Sabrang's footsteps. After taking a look around the complex, he finally found a large banyan tree called the Demon Banyan Tree. Ki Sabrang: "I know you're here, demon! Come out and give Keris Pusaka Tunggul Amukti Palapa stored in this tree!"

Mouse demon: "Who are you and how do you know about this kris? I won't let it be taken by anyone!"

The mouse demon: "No, I will not let the dagger fall on you. This kris has been guarded by my family for years. And now, once you come, you can't easily take it!"

Ki Sabrang: "Alright, if so, let's fight for it. Don't let me destroy this banyan tree and take the kris by force."

They stared at each other with sharp gazes, and then started moving towards each other. Ki Sabrang's attack was so fast that the mouse stealth had trouble avoiding it. However, the mouse demon had such incredible speed and fitness that he could dodge Ki Sabrang's attacks that threatened him.

Mouse demon: "You won't be able to defeat me, Ki Sabrang. I'm too strong and agile for you."

Ki Sabrang: "Don't be too arrogant. I have more power than you, and I'll take that kris, no matter what happens."

They continued to fight, fierce and brutal. Every attack they tried to end the fight as quickly as possible. Eventually, Ki Sabrang managed to catch a mouse demon under one of his sharp attacks.

Ki Sabrang: "Finally, that keris will be mine."

The mouse demon: "Alright, you won. Please take Keris Pusaka Tunggul Amukti Palapa from the banyan tree if you can. But I will warn you that this kris has been cursed by its maker, so be careful in using it."

Ki Sabrang began to concentrate his thoughts and energy in front of the Devil Banyan Tree to attract the Amukti Palapa Stump Heirloom Kris. It takes the strength of a great study so that Keris Pusaka Tunggul Amukti Palapa really moves out of the Banyan Tree of Satan. Cold sweat came out of Ki Sabrang's forehead and body until finally managed to pull 100% of the Stump Heirloom Cherries Amukti Palapa from the devil's banyan tree. After the keris was successfully gripped by him, Ki Sabrang felt his magic energy increasing. He lifted the keris over his head and looked at it with admiration.

Ki Sabrang: "Finally, I managed to get Keris Pusaka Tunggul Amukti Palapa. This power will be mine and I will be greatly enhanced by the mandraguna, hahahaha..."

However, all of a sudden, the demon banyan tree that had been alive and green-green-leafed had now suddenly dried up and withered instantly. Ki Sabrang realized that his magic energy had sucked life out of the tree.

Ki Sabrang: "I'm sorry, the devil's banyan tree. I didn't mean to hurt you. But, I have to get Keris Pusaka Tunggul Amukti Palapa to face my teacher."

Then Ki Sabrang left the dead Banyan Tree of Satan. The mouse demon that was still around the banyan tree turned out to run away, afraid of Ki Sabrang. The Rat Temple complex was damaged and destroyed by the fight of Ki Sabrang and the removal of Keris Pusaka Tunggul Amukti Palapa from the Devil's Banyan Tree.
