The extra chapter 23

"What's wrong?" Nathan asks the doctor to see Ramon come into his study when he doesn't call him. Usually Ramon would come if he called him.

"Doctor Johan fainted." Tell Ramon.

"Because of cravings?" Guess doctor Nathan.

"True sir." Doctor Nathan looks to sigh.

"What's the problem?" Nathan's doctor still doesn't understand what Ramon means.

"Miss Karina is still in denial with her pregnancy." Answer Ramon.

"Is it because of his illness?" Guess Dr. Nathan again.

"It seems that no one knows that Miss Karina has fully recovered." Ramon.

"Leave it!" Doctor Nathan replied indifferently to continue his work. But he was back in silence looking thoughtful. Ramon is still faithfully standing in front of Nathan's desk.

"Book a plane ticket home tomorrow!" See Dr. Nathan at last.

"Nice doc." Ramon replied and left his superior's study.

"Ukh." Guman Johan grimaced feeling his body ache all over. He forced himself too much this time. But when he opened his eyes this time there was no one by his side. Even his wife wasn't there. Johan laughed crisply inside his treatment room.

Johan spontaneously closed his eyes as the door of his treatment room opened. Pretending not conscious. Karina went inside looking at her husband who was still closing his eyes fast asleep. Karina was sitting on the chair next to the bed. Clasping her husband's hand tightly.

"Sorry mas. I'm sorry." Guman Karina withered as she placed her head on the fingers of her husband's hand that she held.

"I... I'm going to give birth to this child." When Johan's eyes opened to hear the words of his wife who was still putting her head in the same position as before, Johan turned to his wife who was behind him so that she did not realize that her husband was awake.

"You have to promise you'll love him, right? Even without me." Guman Karina at the end said.

"What do you mean?" Johan's soft voice surprised Karina who had been turning her head back.

"Mas is up?" Tanya Karina enthusiastically.

"My answer is, baby!" Ask Johan to hear his wife's words that sound ambiguous.

"I'll call the doctor first?" Pinta Karina said she did not want anything bad to happen to her husband.

Dr. Ryan who is a friend of doctor Johan who came to check it because doctor Ryan is the doctor responsible for the condition of doctor Johan. Dr. Ryan seemed to sigh long and heavy looking at the condition of his best friend. Although not as pale as yesterday when he fainted.

"Are you going to keep going like this? Why are you so weak?" Upset doctor Ryan while examining Johan's entire body.

Karina just watched silently without saying anything even though she also felt guilty because she was the one who caused Johan's condition down.

"How's doc?" Karina asked after Ryan finished inspecting and tidying up his equipment. Although Ryan is her half-sister, Karina still calls her formally because she is in the hospital.

"It's okay mbak. Just need enough rest and spend the infusion." Dr. Ryan's answer was not as fierce as when talking to Johan earlier. Johan was still silently staring at the interaction of the two with a blank look.

"Eating a lot and taking medication regularly. I guess that's all you have to pay attention to." Ryan said again to leave.

"Thank you doc." Karina smiled bitterly.

"Yes deck." Karina's answer was able to make Ryan's heart warm because only this time her stepbrother had just called her that.

"I went first mbak, there are still many of my patients." Karina nodded her head.

"Breakfast first, huh?" Tawar Karina softly looked at her husband with her sweet smile.

"I'm not sure I can eat." Johan sounded desperate.

"Tried first though a little. Doctor Mira said a little what's important to eat." Karina replied, still displaying her smile.

"Dear." Karina stared at Johan who was preparing breakfast from the hospital.

"Yes, um."

"Feel dear." Johan looked at his wife.

Karina was speechless, staring at Johan intensely. She digested what her husband said about his sincere remarks. Yet as if dead-end he could not think clearly what it was.

"Conscious mas, unfortunately mas remains on the side of the mas. So, uh,...." Johan paused his words staring at his wife.

"So what is it?" Karina asked stared expressionlessly feeling a bad premonition.

"We love our important baby you're fine on the mas side. She will always be by your side even without her." John's explanation makes Karina's body freeze shocked by her husband's decision to abortion their child-to-be.

"So we sacrifice our children instead of me? What's that stuff as a doctor?" Karina looked at Johan bitterly.

"It's not like that, baby. I know all about why you refused your pregnancy. If I had known from the beginning, I would have behaved the same way as you. So, it's not that I don't want to throw it away. If it harms you both, I'd rather choose you than lose you both." Johan said.

"But I want to keep our baby's future mas."

"If it harms both of you. I refuse." Firmly Johan though still with a weak tone.

"But I didn't kill him that long." Karina replied until her sobbing began to sound.

"We can seek treatment first and find a solution to what we will do later if we want to have children."

"What if it's impossible? Don't you really want kids?" Karina's voice still sounded a bit of a headache.

"We can adopt a child from the home where you used to live. Even if we're not our real children, we can adopt them."

"Sorry, I'm sorry. Can't be the perfect wife and woman for you. Hicks..." Karina said as she covered her face again crying and tears made Johan full and felt pain to see his wife sad.

"I love you. Loves you so much. So please stay with me no matter what. I don't need anyone else just you." Johan said as he clutched his wife's body that was still crying.

The man standing outside Johan's treatment room turned around and left the place he hadn't even had time to go inside to see him. He felt that it was not the time to interfere with the togetherness of the couple.
