The extra chapter

The atmosphere of Nathan's office was silent and there was no sound. Doctor Nathan stood in front of the glass window of his study in the mansion with both hands clutched behind his body. A cold and gripping feeling occurred in the workspace since young lady Karina, daughter of the doctor Nathan said her intention to meet the new papa with her.

"So please pa!" Karina said softly but firmly.

It had been more than fifteen minutes papany was silent behind him while staring out the glass window that did not say anything to make Karina squeezed both hands feel guilty for disappointing her father. But that's all he wants right now. That is, along with her husband who still loves her and does not want a divorce as he knows it today.

"Ramon, take my daughter to my room!" Nathan's doctor broke the silence.

"Papa, please papa! I love her pa. We love each other. Please don't separate us pa!" Karina said when Ramon who was not allowed to leave the workspace since Karina asked permission to meet with her father. Ramon approached Karina who had not carried out his master's orders because he felt anxious with the earnest-looking plea.

"Rammon!" Tell Dr. Nathan again firmly still with a position to turn his back to Karina without seeing her face.

"Good sir." Ramon replied firmly starting to help Karina leave.

"Father, I am his wife. I should have followed my husband. Now I am my husband's responsibility pa." Please Karina once again wishing her papa a melt. But the disappointment that Nathan's doctor felt seemed so deep in his heart that he tried not to heed his daughter's long-separated plea.

After coming from the villa and meeting her husband, Karina decided to meet her father to tell him her wish to return to her husband. Johan actually wanted to meet with Karina to meet a man called biological father by his wife but the critical news he received from Ryan forced him to return to the hospital.

Karina herself chose to meet her own father first and tried to melt her father's heart not to make them divorce because basically the misunderstanding just happened to them.

As a result, the plea to remain with her husband did not get a clear answer from her father. But the silence and coldness that his father showed meant that his father did not want them to be together again even though he pleaded with earnestness.

"Papa, he's my breath." Lirih Karina again before finally closing the door of her papa workspace.

Ramon followed Karina from behind towards Karina's private room which seemed to be silent with a look of disappointment and sadness that was very deep in her heart. The two of them were silent as they headed for Karina's room. Ramon saw the door of the room closed. And immediately left after taking a long breath.

He wanted to pity the two lovebirds for being forced to separate just because of the fault of his non-husband's mother. They both seem to love each other very much. But he knew his master must have had a reason to be seen restraining his daughter. His master must also have his own plans to make his long-lost daughter happy.

Johan ran in the hospital hallway to the ICU room where his mother was being treated. Although her mother was not a good woman, she was still her birth mother, the mother who gave birth to her. He shouldn't have been bad to her especially now that her condition was so bad that even now it was being critical.

"How's my mom Ryan doing?" Johan asked looking at Ryan who was standing in front of the ICU room as well.

"Sorry man, it looks like you have to prepare your heart." Ryan nodded his head feeling guilty.

"What do you mean?" Johan asked confirming his hearing once more.

Ryan also explained Ambar's condition before being critical.

"He wants to see your wife." Ryan said ending the story made Johan stare intensely at Ryan.

"My mom said that?" Ask Johan.

"Yes, she kept saying your wife's name and repeatedly apologized even though she sounded clean. Maybe she feels guilty for your wife." Obviously Ryan smiled faintly in between his anxiety.

Suddenly the ICU room opens up and Johan immediately approaches the doctor in charge of his mother.

"How's my mom doc?" Ask Johan immediately.

"Please call Karina immediately, who was mentioned many times by your mother." Advice from the doctor.

"Can I see it for a minute, Doc?" Johan Pinta.

"Please! It seems like the time is not long." Reply to the doctor regretfully. Johan rushed into the ICU room after wearing a special outfit.

"Mother! You hear me?" Johan's weak whispers stared at his mother's far-from-good state after almost a week of treatment.

"A.rin...a.af... Ms. rin. ma... af." Ambar whispered as if he had not heard Johan speak.

"Mother." Reply Johan seseku.

"Ma... K. rin.." Lirih Ambar again with a weak dotted tone as if he was nearing his end.

"Ryan!" Call Johan out of his mother's ICU room because he can't bear to see his mother's condition.

"Can you bring my wife here?" Pinta Johan is hopeful.

"Ma..."

"Please! Looks like my mom wants to apologize to my wife. Please bring my wife here, she goes home to doctor Nathan's mansion and she doesn't want to talk. I have to wait for my mother if she ever leaves. Although my mother later did not have time to meet my wife directly to apologize at least she came when my mother had exhaled so she could go quietly." Johan's door looked expectantly at Ryan.

"I'll try." Johan nodded in amazement at Ryan's reply who immediately rushed home to his papa mansion.

"Your mother. I mean your mother-in-law. Ms. Ambar is now in critical condition and wants to meet with Ms. Karin."

"God willing, Astaghfirullah..." Guman Karina shrieked while covering her mouth in disbelief with the news brought by her half-sister.

"Mr can't meet him. Maybe her life won't be long, so..."

"We're leaving now." Invite Karina while fixing her hijab to be more neat and polite even though it is actually neat.

"Come on!" Ryan left followed Karina behind him also looking hasty.

But a voice stopped the second step.

"What are you doing Ryan?" Reprimanded doctor Nathan who just came out of his study followed Ramon behind him. Doctor Nathan even just glanced at his daughter who was also staring at him, until the face seemed sad to be seen by doctor Nathan but he was just silent.

"Pa-papa..." Ryan hesitated to say it.

"Father, we're going to the hospital to see my critical mother-in-law. And the doctor said..."

"You're not going anywhere." Doctor Nathan stared at the two sharply.

"Papa, maybe there will be no more opportunity to meet Ambar because since then he mentioned the name of Mbak Karin many times. This time..."

"You know what it's all about. Karin's not going anywhere." Strictly doctor Nathan stared intently at his youngest son that made Ryan's guts shrink because he was indeed afraid of the papa.

"Papa, Karin please pa!" Pinta Karina makes Nathan's doctor want to leave the place regardless of his daughter's request again.

"Papa." Karina was forced to run and immediately kneel before her papa to get permission to meet her mother-in-law who might just be it for the last time.

Everyone was shocked to see Karina kneeling down and pleading.

"Please pa, Karin. will do anything. Papa wishes, if papa allows Karin to meet mother." Karina said as she lowered her head in front of the doctor Nathan who was still speechless was surprised to see his daughter doing so.

"whatever?" Doctor Nathan replied with a grin that no one saw.

"Yes, anything." Karina replied confident that she would regret it in the end. She only wanted to be by her husband's side when her mother was critical.

"Remember that promise!" Doctor Nathan spoke coldly until he finally left the mansion because there was something important that he had to take care of.

"Thank you papa." Karina stood up with Ryan's help.

"Bak sure?" Ryan felt guilty for forcing.

"I hope you didn't say anything that just happened to my husband." Pinta Karina looked at Ryan expectantly.

"But mom, papa's not an easy person."

"I knew. I'm just asking you not to say anything to my husband." Pinta Karina who is possessed is forced by Ryan.

The two went to the hospital in the car Ryan was carrying earlier.
