Chapter 32 Reason and explanation

Cherry's hasty steps made her breath gasp. He went to the toilet to find out what the clown was doing.

Suddenly his eyes widened when he saw a man who rinsed makeup on his face using water flowing in the sink.

The man's face is clean from thick makeup and looks painstakingly removed from his face.

The man's face is very recognizable by Cherry, but the clothes he wears now make Cherry very surprised.

Whatisthis? Cherry said in her heart by closing her mouth in shock.

Hatsy! Hatsy! Hatsy!

Instantly the man turned to Cherry who was overwhelmed by his sneezing.

"Cherry?!" chirps the man who looks very surprised to find Cherry is not far from his place.

"Max, kamu–"

Hatsy! Hatsy! Hatsy!

That man is Max. He was shocked to the point of being speechless when he saw Cherry there.

Max immediately went into the toilet room to change his clothes so that Cherry no longer sneezed to see him.

The surprised Cherry still had not moved from where she was standing at the moment. Especially with his sneezing that was now attacking him, he was busy with his current state.

Not long after, Max came out of one of the toilet cubicles he entered. He looked at Cherry who was now also looking at him.

Their eyes stared at each other. They seemed to be communicating with each other through their eyes.

"Cher, I–"

"You lied to me Max!" cherry said with restraining his frustration.

Max stepped forward, unfortunately Cherry stepped back so they stayed away.

"I didn't mean to lie to you, Cher. I just don't want you to stay away from me because I was the clown at the time" Max said with a wailing face to Cherry.

Cherry spread her arms forward to stop Max from moving closer to her, saying,

"Stop Max!" 

Cherry turns her back on her intention of leaving the place, but Max stops her with his words.

"I lied because I don't want to lose you Cher! I don't want to be away from you!"

Hearing Max's words, Cherry turned to face Max and said,

"What do you mean Max?"

"As I said. I don't want to lose you. I seem to like you" Max said with a sweet smile at Cherry.

"Looks?" cherry said, questioning Max's seriousness.

"Yes, I think I really like you Cher. Do you want to be my girlfriend?" max asked with a serious look at Cherry.

Cherry gawked in disbelief at what she heard. He looked at Max and said,

"I really don't think that after your lie was exposed, you're now expressing your feelings for me in the toilet."

Max was shocked to hear Cherry's words. She is unaware of being in the toilet and expresses her feelings for Cherry.

"Emmm. sorry Cher, I. later I repeat again, baby, you can answer later when I express my feelings back to you," said Max clumsy and embarrassed.

"No need Max, you lied to me and I don't like that" Cherry said firmly.

After that Cherry ran away from the place to her car.

Max was stunned to hear Cherry's words heard rejecting his heart's statement. 

However, a few seconds later he came to his senses if he had to chase after her and explain to her.

He tries to stop the Cherry car, unfortunately Cherry drives it at high speed so it is not easily pursued by Max.

With Max's expertise in driving, he is confident if he can catch up with Cherry cars even at high speed. 

Now there is a chase between Max's car and Cherry's car. Until when Cherry's car was stuck at a red light, Max's car was next to her.

Max lowered his car window and called out to Cherry whose car was next to his.

"Cher, open the window! Listen to me!"

All the eyes that were there were watching him. Max's exclamation makes them think that they are two lovers who are fighting until it continues on the streets.

Cherry felt uncomfortable being looked at by many when Max exclaimed at her. With a heavy heart Cherry opened the glass window of her car and looked resentfully at Max.

"Darling, listen to my explanation. We better talk at the cafe," said Max who deliberately called Cherry with affection.

Cherry saw everyone who was still watching her, she sighed because now she felt cornered by the situation. Finally he closed the windshield of his car and drove forward after the traffic light turned green.

Cherry's car really like being escorted by Max's car next to it, so Cherry can't turn towards the road of her home.

"Ck, that's smart of him. I should have been more alert and thought of another path" murmured Cherry who was upset at failing to turn her way home.

Finally, Cherry complied with Max's desire to talk at the cafe. No chance to escape again. Max's car always dribbles Cherry cars so that Cherry cars can not escape from his reach.

They were at Max's cafe. Now they both sit facing each other. Max looked at Cherry with a wailing look. While Cherry tried hard not to falter with her stance.

Cherry turned her eyes to her fingers playing with her nails.

"Cher, don't you want to see me?" asked Max who was still looking at him with a longing look at him.

Cherry was forced to look at Max and she felt Max's gaze so hopeful on her.

"What's wrong? Speak quickly. I'm very tired and want to get some rest" Cherry said nervously.

Max sighed, looking frustrated at Cherry's unusual attitude. 

Max got up from his seat and crouched down in front of Cherry holding his hand and said,

"Cher, I'm sorry. You already know my reason. I hope you can understand."

Cherry immediately threw out Max's hand as she stood up from her seat and said,

"I've been listening to you. I'm going home now. Excuse me."

With a quick step and half-run, Cherry leaves Max for her car.

Max could only look at Cherry's back with a sense of loss that now hurt her heart.

Max only realized that he felt opium with the presence of Cherry in his life.

He was still staring pusingly at Cherry's back which slowly disappeared from his sight.

"Max, what's wrong?" 

Lucas's voice walking up to him made Max turn to him.

"There's nothing. How is the online promotion? Smoothly?" ask Max to switch the conversation.

"Current dong. How are you?" asked Lucas who looked at Max with a probing look.

Max smiled in response to a question from Lucas. Then he said,

"The voucher is over I shared. Let's just hope they all come later or tomorrow to use it."

Lucas catches Max's grinning, pushy smile. He looked suspiciously at Max while saying, 'He looked suspiciously at Max,

"What's up Max? What the hell's going on? Does it have anything to do with Cherry leaving in a hurry?"
