Chapter 20 Fiancee?

"Huh?! Fiancee?!" 

"Wedding?!" 

Max and Cherry said at the same time. They were shocked to hear the words of Fahmi, Papa Cherry.

Of course Max didn't expect that she would have to be engaged to Cherry. He does feel comfortable and happy to be around her, but he does not feel love for her. Either not yet or Max is unconscious even though he has already twice pressed his lips with Cherry's lips.

Cherry is too. He is indeed interested in Max, but with Max's irritating attitude it makes Cherry try not to be interested in him.

"Papa and Mama don't want to know. You better get engaged as soon as possible" Fahmi said firmly.

As for Arini, she just silently agreed to her husband's decision. For him Max and Cherry are indeed more quickly engaged so that they as parents can more calmly take off Cherry when together with Max wherever it is.

"Cherry doesn't want Pa" Cherry said firmly.

Fahmi looked at Cherry with a stern look that seemed very scary and said,

"Why? Aren't you guys dating?"

Cherry is very panicked, she forgets that their status is dating if in front of both parents and in front of Max's best friend, as well as in front of Bella.

"I-iya Pa. But we've just been dating" Cherry replied nervously.

Fahmi grunted in annoyance. His own daughter refused his request. Though she is a woman and will be a disadvantage if she is dating too long.

"Your courtship is very worrying. You come home tonight and this, you're often in a room together, especially in a room. Papa does not want to know, anyway you have to get engaged immediately," said Fahmi firmly while looking at Max and Cherry alternately.

"But Pa, we don't do anything" said Cherry, who tried hard to change her papa's decision.

Fahmi looked at Max and said,

"Max, I look forward to your parents coming soon."

After saying that, Fahmi immediately left the room followed by Arini who did not comment anything.

"Pa! Papa! Cherry doesn't want to rush Pa's wedding! Papa! Not now! Cherry doesn't want to get married now!" cherry tried to change his papa's decision.

However, it seems Fahmi's decision has been unanimous. He did not listen to Cherry's words that sounded very objectionable. He just passed by without answering anything.

Cherry sighed softly. He walked up to Max and sat down near Max, saying,

"How is Max? Now what should we do?"

Max turned his head towards Cherry and smiled looking at Cherry's current lethargic face. Max's hand stretched out and gently rubbed Cherry's hair as he said,

"Look down, Cher, there's a way out."

Cherry turned to look at Max who was beside her and stared intently at him. Then he said,

"Why don't you try to change Papa's decision?" 

"It's just that Cher, your father has made his decision and I don't think it can be changed" Max replied with a chuckle.

Cherry's eyes were drawing more and more on him. He closed his eyes and said,

"It looks like you're very eager to marry me."

Max also brought his face closer right in front of Cherry's face that looked shocked at the time. Max smiled sweetly and moved closer to Cherry's cheek.

Cherry's eyes closed. She thought Max would do something else back then, but Max whispered in Cherry's ear,

"We better pretend to accept your Papa's decision and we should be able to buy his time."

Cherry's eyes opened upon hearing Max's whisper. He cursed the stupidity of himself as if Max would do anything else to him.

Max held his smile. He knew that Cherry was nervous because of her actions.

Max turned his lips back to Cherry's ears and whispered back,

"We're looking for the right reasons every Papa and Mama ask us about our engagement."

Cherry turned to look at Max so that Max's lips hit Cherry's cheek. Both of them looked extremely shocked and festering with their eyes on each other.

The eyes of the two of them were locked so for a few minutes they stared at each other.

Finally they realized when the sound of the phone ringing from Max's phone.

They both look very nervous and misbehaved. I don't know why they are like that. They just stared at each other and didn't kiss. 

It seemed like they were diving into each other's eyes that they were looking at so misbehaving and nervous afterwards.

"It looks like I have to go back to the cafe" Max said, showing a screen of his phone with Lucas' name on it.

Cherry simply nodded her head and said,

"Be careful Max."

Max, who was standing from his seat, smiled, saying,

"Yes dear."

Instantly a red hue was implied on Cherry's face. This time he could not cover his nervousness. He simply turned his eyes away by looking the other way.

"Don't worry about that. Tomorrow I'll tell you," Max chuckled.

Then he walked out of the room unaccompanied by Cherry. Even Cherry wouldn't look at him. He's still looking the other way.

"Huuuffftttt..," Cherry sighed as she fanned her hands in front of her face.

Feeling still hot and sultry, Cherry immediately ran into her bathroom. He washed his face using the water flowing from the sink faucet many times. Then he looked at the mirror in front of him.

The shadow of Max kissing his lips is now back. Even the image of Max accidentally kissing his cheek is now clearly reflected in the mirror.

"Aiisssh. Shameful, " Cherry grumbled, washing her face over and over again, hoping that Max's shadow would disappear from her eyes.

So too with Max. He felt that Cherry's shadow was always with him. Even he smiled to himself considering Cherry's behavior that looks funny and adorable in his eyes.

"What would I do if Cherry's dad asked me to bring Mama and Papa along to see her?" muttered Max while looking at the ceiling in his room.

Thinking about it made Max accidentally fall asleep. It seemed like his body and mind were both tired at the moment.

The next morning, Max is shocked by a message sent by his father. The message said that Max was asked to attend for lunch with Bella. 

Max who had just woken up got such a message, he felt annoyed. He threw his cell phone on his bed and said,

"Ck, you rambunctious prick. Just make my morning mood crumble."

Max immediately thought to make sense so that he could escape the event. For a few minutes he thought about it, until he remembered something.

"Ahaaa.. Cherry berry sweetie!" max shouted while flicking his finger and smiling widely.

He immediately grabbed his phone and sent a message to Cherry.

In his room, Cherry was reluctant to go to his campus. Suddenly, a notification message from his phone sounded.

He immediately took his phone and read it. 

"What's this?"
