Chapter 21 A Plan

Cherry, who is reluctant to leave for campus, is now increasingly reluctant to leave after getting a message from Max.

However, his desire not to go to campus was wiped out already. Cherry was in Max's car. 

Like yesterday, Max picked her up this morning. There was no reason for him not to leave. And there was no reason for him to reject the desire Max had said in the message this morning. He's bound by a pact with Max so he has to follow Max's orders.

"Let me take all of us there. Dandan is beautiful, baby," said Max with a smile and pinch Cherry's cheek.

Cherry nervously gets back the affectionate call from Max. But he won't show it to Max. He tried hard to cover up the nervousness and erratic feeling in his heart.

He got out of Max's car without responding to Max's words. He secured his heart that had been beating so fast.

Max chuckles at Cherry's attitude. Unexpectedly, now Max can channel his ignorance back. She used to only be able to prank Miyuki, but since Miyuki was already married to Tristan, she could no longer justify it. And now, he already has a Cherry that he can colonize at any time.

He immediately went to his cafe. It turns out that his arrival along with Lucas who also just parked his sport bike in a special parking lot for them.

"Lucas, I'll be gone for a while. Please handle this cafe when I'm not here" Max said as he exited his car.

Lucas, who was standing next to his bike, looked in wonder at Max, who looked happy this morning. Then he said,

"Sounds like you're happy today? Does it have anything to do with it later in the day?" 

Max smiled widely and shook his head. He walked up to Lucas and grabbed his shoulders to walk together into the cafe.

Lucas follows Max by walking with him into the cafe. He turned to look at Max and scrunched his forehead saying,

"Then, where are you going in the afternoon? Do you want another promotion outside?"

Max shook his head and said,

"The belek told his father to tell Papa to meet him for lunch with him."

Lucas was shocked and threw Max's hand on his shoulder. Then he said,

"You accept him Max?"

Max laughed at Lucas' prejudice and shook his head.

"Look down, I'm still sane Lucas" Max said, patting Lucas on the shoulder.

"Then, why would you want to have lunch with him? Don't you hate him? And all this time you never wanted to eat with her even though she forced you?" asked Lucas who was very curious about Max's current attitude.

Max stopped his steps and said,

"I'll come along with Cherry. And I'll show that Belek if I have a partner so he doesn't bother me anymore."

Lucas looked at Max with his eyes narrowed, saying,

"Are you sure Max? Don't you know that Belek never gives up? Even he did whatever way he could to get you."

Max's smile faded. Now he had a serious face and said,

"I know. That's why Cherry and I had to convince her. He's very dangerous. Any woman close to me would be treated badly by him. If he acts like that, how can I like him? Even in my dreams I could never get close to her."

"Employ Max. If necessary, apply Cherry in front of her so she knows there's no chance of getting close to you."

Max's eyes were wide open to hear the words of Lucas. Let's be honest if Max never imagined to be Cherry's boyfriend even though he felt comfortable and happy to be around her. Moreover, proposing, he really never imagined it.

Lucas laughed at the look on Max's face at this moment. He left Max still standing at the door. Laughter Lucas echoed in the cafe so that Max realized and immediately walked into the cafe.

The morning passed, and now the sun was rising. Lunch time has arrived. The cafe is now in a crowded state of visitors. 

"Max, just stay. Leave it to us. Depart now from the Belek who came to this cafe and made a mess like yesterday" Lucas told Max who was at the cashier.

"Then, who's guarding the cashier? Miyuki's not coming. As for Cherry, she'll come with me. Argh... Why doesn't Yuki come when we need him? If it's not needed, it comes on its own" Max said, ruffling his hair in frustration.

Lucas chuckles at Max who looks very anxious and frustrated at the moment. All this time the familiar Max had never worried about anything other than Miyuki who was considered as his biological sister. Now he is worried about his business and life.

"Already Max, just stay. I'll call Miyuki to come here quickly" Lucas said to calm Max down.

Max looked at Lucas for a moment. Then he said,

"Ok Lucas, I trust you all."

Max picked up his bag which he put in the drawer under the cashier's desk. After that he left the cafe for Cherry campus to pick her up.

Max's car stopped right in front of the bus stop. He honks his car to signal Cherry that he has come to pick her up.

Cherry was waiting for Max at the stop. He sat down by playing a game on his phone to wait for Max.

Cherry's eyes were diverted when she heard the car horn in front of her. He immediately got out of his seat and got into Max's car.

"Sorry for a long time" Max said as he drove off his car.

"Old banget" said Cherry who looked upset.

"It's lunch hour. In the cafe it is very crowded. Where Yuki doesn't come anymore" Max said without looking at Cherry.

Cherry turned to Max and said,

"Then why did you pick me up? I can come to the cafe without bothering you."

Max stayed focused on the road and the wheel. He shook his head and said,

"We're going somewhere else."

"But the cafe is crowded Max. The cashier also had no one to look after. Why do we have to come to that place when the cafe is in need of our energy?" ask Cherry who was astonished by Max's decision.

"Just calm down, Lucas can handle it. He had also contacted Miyuki to come help him," replied Max who was still focused on his steering wheel.

"Then, where are we going?" ask Cherry with curiosity.

"Just wait. Surely you'll find out later," replied Max with a mysterious smile.
