Chapter 16 Girlfriend?

"Be my girlfriend!"

Cherry's eyes widened to hear Max's request of her. Again he was stunned by Max. 

Max's words make Cherry's heart beat fast. Even he can't say anything. In his heart he felt like many flowers were blooming. His eyes sparkled at Max's request of her.

"Cherry, please help me. Be my girlfriend so Bella doesn't bother me anymore. We have to pretend like people are really dating. You can do anything to me. You can hug me, hold me, even kiss me" Max asked with a hopeful look.

Cherry's facial expression changed. Suddenly she is disappointed by the words of Max who only asked for his help to pretend to be her boyfriend.

Damn, it turns out he was just asking me to pretend to be his girlfriend. Destroyed my pride dong if I accepted her request. Anyway I don't want to accept her request, Cherry said in her heart.

Max took Cherry's hands and stared at her intensely as he said,

"I beg Cher, help me. You can ask me anything."

Cherry was flabbergasted looking into Max's eyes that were waving at her. Unfortunately he soon realizes that he must not be fooled by Max's charm.

Cherry immediately pulled her hand from Max's. Then he said,

"Sorry Max, I can't."

Max puts his face on Cherry's face, so that their faces are facing each other at a very close distance.

"I beg Cher. You can ask me anything" Max said back.

Looking at Max's face and gaze that was waving from a very close distance made Cherry's heart slightly waver.

"Mmm. I think about it first" Cherry said, looking the other way.

Max smiled at the nervousness implied in Cherry's face and attitude at this time. Then he said,

"Give me an answer as soon as Cher. I'm sure you'll help me."

Cherry immediately got out of her bed and said,

"Why are you so confident? Who said I wanted to help you? And I don't necessarily want to help you."

Max stood in front of Cherry and brought his face closer to Cherry's ear while whispering,

"Because I'm sure we need each other."

Just let Cherry move away from Max. He was confused by Max's words. Unfortunately, Max looked at her with a triumphant smile that made Cherry become annoyed.

"Get out of here, Max, I'm gonna take a break now," Cherry pushed Max's body out of her room.

Max didn't try to hold on, he said as Cherry pushed him out of the room.

He chuckled as Cherry closed the door of her room very hard and locked the door.

"Loh Max, what's wrong? Why did Cherry close the door that hard?" ask Arini with curiosity.

Max smiled stiffly as he scratched his nape and said,

"Cherry lashes out Ma. He asked me to pick him up in the morning. But I fucked him, I said I can't pick him up tomorrow. Uh he's lashing out."

Fahmi chuckles at Max's words. She doesn't suspect anything because what Max says is common for Cherry to ask her mom and dad for something.

"Just look at Max. Tomorrow just come here let him feel a surprise from you. He must be very happy" Arini told Max.

Max nodded his head in response to the words from Arini and said,

"Ready Ma."

After that, Max said goodbye to Arini and Fahmi without being delivered by Cherry to his car parked by Max in the yard of the house.

Inside his room, Cherry looks from the balcony of his room Max's moving car leaves his house.

"Ck, he just wants to play with my feelings. Do I have no self-respect?" cherry grumbled when he saw Max's car had disappeared from his sight.

Cherry sighed, looking once she was disappointed at this moment. Liking and happy because of Max's request to be his girlfriend, immediately crashed because of Max's words that said that it was just pretend.

However, the annoyance given by Max is comparable to the deg-degan taste and happy taste when Max acts sweet on him.

"Seeble sebel.. sebel.. sebel..," cried Cherry while banging her bed.

"Why is she always sneezing? Why does he like to make me sprain? But why am I still imagining his face, his smile and…."

Cherry's speech came to a halt as she re-imagined Max's lips sticking to hers. She held her lips as if she had again felt Max's kiss on her.

A few minutes after that, he woke up. His hand pulled the pillow and covered his face. She was ashamed of herself imagining the kiss.

Without opening the pillow from her face, Cherry stretched her body to try to sleep so she would no longer think about Max.

Evening passed, the next day Max departed very early from his current residence. Max lives in his apartment after he refuses an arranged marriage with Bella.

"For everyone…."

The familiar voice in Cherry's ear made Cherry, who was focusing on her food, turn to the door.

He turned his head in the other direction and covered his face from the side so that the person would not see him.

"Why is he here so early?" murmured Cherry who suddenly felt nervous.

"For Max. We have breakfast together before you leave" Arini said with a sweet smile on Max.

Max returned Arini's smile as he walked to the seat next to Cherry.

"For Cherry berry sweety," Max said with a smile on Cherry.

Cherry's heart seemed like it was about to jump. In his heart he said,

Damn the flat wok Maxim. Maybe he could have made my heart so unstable early in the morning. It can be bad for my heart health.

"Cher, is that Max called me?" ask Arini after swallowing her food.

"Please eat Max. Do not be shy," said Fahmi to invite Max breakfast.

"Thank you, Ma. Sorry early in the morning has been troublesome," said Max while smiling shyly at Arini and Fahmi.

"Ck, usually also shy," said Cherry unknowingly.

"Cherry!" mama exclaimed as if warning her daughter to say polite to Max.

Cherry smiled broadly at Arini so that her mother would not be angry at her.

After their breakfast was over, Max immediately invited Cherry to leave at that time.

Cherry rejects him, she immediately looks for an excuse so that she can leave on her own without being ushered in by Max.

"Cherry to campus take a car. So, you don't have to bother coming here early in the morning like this" Cherry said with a forced smile.

"Your car was taken by Mr. Juned to the workshop" said Fahmi who seemed to support Cherry to be delivered by Max.

"When since when? How can? Cherry's car why Pa?" ask Cherry.

"Obviously, on service. Already, mendingan you delivered Max only. He's also here" Fahmi replied, wearing his suit.

Cherry sighed by showing her lesion face.

"Yesterday was angry when Max said he couldn't pick you up. Now that Max has picked you up so early, you shouldn't have turned him down. It's better now that you leave before getting stuck" Arini said when he saw Cherry's suddenly lethargic face.

"Huh?! Getting angry? Wh who? Me?" cherry asked her mother as if she did not believe her hearing.

Arini nodded her head to justify her daughter's question.

Cherry looked at Max, who was smiling at him. Cherry's gaze drew on Max as she exclaimed,

"Max….!"
