Chapter 12 Clown costume

"As you can hear, her name is Bella. He went to the same college as the three of us. And it just so happened that his father was my papa's business relationship. They have worked together for a long time, even now their project is still ongoing. Suddenly her father came to my office telling her his intention to match Bella to me. He threatened that if our family did not accept the match, he would step back and abandon their project that was already halfway through."

Max sighed and sat down in the chair in front of the bar. Cherry is still waiting for Max's next story without asking or saying anything.

Max looked Cherry in the eye and said, again,

"Papa and Mama didn't want to force me to accept the match. And papa Bella really ruined their project. Finally, Miyuki's mother gave me an idea. My family and Bella's family met and talked about our matchmaking. I was against the match and Papa was very angry with me. I was kicked out of my house and opened this cafe as a way to earn a living to prove that I could live without Papa's money. It's all just engineering. It was the idea of Aunt Kiki, Miyuki's mother. And this is how I am now. My comfortable life was ruined because of that damn woman. Miyuki said she was obsessed with me. So she couldn't let go of me until now, even though I've rudely rejected her and humiliated her."

Cherry looked on compassion and was amazed at Max's assertiveness. He still did not comment on anything as he hoped Max would continue his story for him to know about Max.

"In the past, when I was in college, Miyuki always protected me from her. Luckily, because of my closeness to Miyuki, everyone at the college thought that Miyuki and I were dating, until finally everyone found out the truth when Tristan, Kak, miyuki's husband declares his love in front of everyone on campus" Max says with a slight smile given the events of Max kneeling by declaring his love for Miyuki.

Cherry smiled at Max's story. Then, Cherry's careless attitude returned. Unknowingly he said what was on his mind,

"Why aren't you and Miyuki dating?"

Max chuckled and pinched Cherry's nose squash as he said,

"We're cousins."

Cherry removed Max's hand from her nose and said,

"Swives are still allowed to marry."

"But since childhood we've been together. I look after him like my own brother" Max said, smiling at him.

Max's very charming smile made Cherry nervous. What he was about to say seemed to vanish without a trace when he saw Max's smile aimed at him.

"Woiii. Max. Work! Make sense so that visitors do not recede," exclaimed Lucas from his place while chuckling with Miyuki.

"Not spread the discount voucher anymore, right? How come today I don't receive payment using discount vouchers anymore?" miyuki exclaimed from her place to sit on Max who was with Cherry in the bar area.

"Madut? A voucher?" chirp Cherry after hearing the cry from Miyuki.

Soon Max remembered that Cherry should not know about her role as a clown at that time. He quickly pulled Cherry's hand and said,

"Follow me."

"Yuki, Lucas, I'm going to hand out the voucher along with Cherry" Max exclaimed as he pulled Cherry's hand up to the top.

Lucas and Miyuki chuckle at Max who seems to have become a piggy bank on Cherry. Without them knowing what their current relationship is.

Cherry is nervous as her hand is pulled by Max towards the top floor. In his heart he said,

What would Max do to me? I'll be okay, won't I? It's so quiet on this floor. Am I going to be mutilated? Or I'll be in…

Immediately he crossed his free right hand from Max's hand in front of his chest.

In Cherry's current mind Max would do something indecent to her on that very quiet top floor.

Cherry held on tightly to the door. Feeling that Cherry's hand could not be pulled, Max turned to look at Cherry.

Max's forehead frowned at Cherry's current behavior. He chuckles at seeing it 

"Why are you Cher?" ask Max in between his chills.

"Why did you bring me here?" ask Cherry by squinting her eyes at Max.

Max was silent, he tried to examine Cherry's questions and attitude at this time. Then he laughed again and said,

"You think I'm gonna do something to you?" 

Cherry nodded her head with great enthusiasm. He confirmed what Max asked him.

Max laughed again. Max's laughter is faster. She held her stomach for laughing at Cherry's thoughts until she was spinning.

Feeling ridiculed, Cherry threw Max's hand that was holding it. His hands were folded in front of his chest, saying,

"Why laugh? It's only natural that I have such thoughts. You're taking a girl alone to a quiet room like this. What do you want to try?" 

Max stopped his laughter and said,

"You can get a discount voucher. After that you have to help me share it."

Cherry follows Max into the office after hearing Max's excuse to shame him into thinking badly of her.

"Hatsy! Hatsy! Hatsy!"

Cherry immediately closed her nose. He already understood that his nose would react when it was around clowns. 

Cherry's eyes circled the entire office. And he found a clown costume in the corner of the room.

In the corner of the office room there is a clown costume hung by Max after wearing it with the aim of not smelling before re-using.

Max hasn't washed it yet. So he put it in the place where the costume usually is.

"Why are you Cher?" asked Max who was astonished by Cherry's attitude.

Cherry immediately ran out of the office room. Seeing this, Max became confused. He immediately ran out following Cherry who was sitting on the stairs.

"What the hell is Cher? You why?" max asked with a confused face.

Cherry, who had opened her nose, now sighed. After that he said,

"In there's Max's clown costume."

Max scrunched his forehead. He didn't understand the meaning of Cherry's answer. Then he asked again,

"Why? You scared?"
