Chapter 13 Cherry Foolishness

Cherry sighed hearing the question from Max. It's not that he doesn't want to tell a story, it's just that he's embarrassed to tell the reason he always sneezes when he's close to a clown.

"Cher... why? Don't-don't.. You're afraid of clowns, aren't you?" 

Max laughed again after asking Cherry. 

Max's laughter upset Cherry for being laughed at. Without thinking about his embarrassment, he said,

"Not because of fear. Long ago, long ago, when I was about five years old. There's a birthday clown that's carrying me. I don't know why I sneezed when I was carried by that clown. Mama thinks because her costume has a lot of dust or her dirty bad hair. But until now if I was near a clown would have sneezed. Strange indeed, but I don't know, I don't want to take a headache. Just avoid it."

Max listened well to the story from Cherry. He remembered the beginning of their meeting at the market that night. In his heart he said,

Oh so that's why he sneezed that time. Even I we he's sick.

Max held back his smile recalling the time he thought Cherry was sick from sneezing that night.

Cherry turned to the side, where Max was sitting next to her. Then he said,

"Why is your expression that? You must have wanted me, huh? Gapapa laughs. I knew you'd laugh after hearing my story."

Max stopped his laughter. He immediately pulled the hand of the already irritated Cherry, saying,

"Let's go with me for a promotion outside."

Without waiting for an answer from Cherry, Max had brought her down from the top floor and took her out of the cafe to the parking lot of his car.

In the car, Cherry was silent. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to Max, it was just that he didn't know what he was going to talk to Max about.

Max focused only on his wheel and the road ahead of him. His hands stretched out to turn on the music to fill the silence in the car at this time.

After a while, Max stopped the car. He opened his seat belt and said,

"Let's Cher down."

Chery opened her seatbelt and said,

"What are we doing here, Max?"

The one who will come out after opening the door, now closes the door again and says,

"We both share vouchers here. In this park there are many couples who are dating. They must be interested. Many families may also be interested if they get a discount voucher."

Cherry just nodded her head. He agreed to Max's idea. He got out of the car after Max got out first.

Max and Cherry are handing out discount vouchers that they carry. They walked around the park and handed out discount vouchers to everyone they met.

Suddenly Max stops Cherry. He's down in front of Cherry. Of course Cherry was surprised and she looked down at him. 

Turns out Max was justifying the loose Cherry shoelaces. Cherry just looked at him and said in her heart,

Why would he do that? Just treating me like this alone makes my heart uncertain. 

Cherry felt like her heart was filled with flowers. His heart was beating erratically. There was a tickle in his stomach that made him always want to smile and laugh happily.

Max stood up and smiled right in front of Cherry. He saw Cherry's face that was shamed, so it looked even more cute and adorable. Then he said,

"Other times tie the rope properly. Don't let you fall for stepping on it yourself."

"Huh?! How do you know if I step on my own shoelaces and fall?" sally Cherry unconsciously.

Max chuckled and pinched Cherry's nose squash and said,

"I can guess because you've often acted recklessly."

Cherry tries to release Max's hand that pinches his nose. After that he said,

"It hurts."

Seeing the sulking Cherry, Max immediately pulled Cherry's hand and asked her to walk back.

"Yuk Cher we're home," Max asked as he pulled Cherry's hand.

"Aduh Max. don't pull Cherry hand dong. It's Cherry's hand, pulled up just like that" said Cherry with regret.

Max stopped his steps and turned to look towards Cherry. He let go of Cherry's hand. Surprisingly, Cherry felt lost when Max's hand no longer held her.

However, Max's hand only moved position. Now he took Cherry's hand and held it with a smile and said,

"So you want to be in the gang, not in the pull."

Instantly implied a red hue on Cherry's face. I don't know why he was embarrassed when Max said that. And strangely enough, Cherry's heart felt like many flowers were blooming in her heart. His heart was like jumping around feeling the grip of Max's hand that was very warm and comfortable for him.

Seeing Cherry's face blushing in shame, Max is eager to prank and tease her again. Unfortunately he was afraid that Cherry would get angry again and would not meet him.

For now, let it be like this. I need his help. And I can't make him walk away from me, Max said in his heart.

Max takes Cherry to his car park by hand.

Cherry said nothing. This time he felt something like that. He steals a glance at Max by occasionally glancing at him while in the car.

Max who was focusing on his steering wheel felt something strange. He feels noticed. He smiled faintly because he knew that Cherry was watching him.

I admit, Max is very handsome, like a prince in my dreams. Why do clowns appear in my dreams? Is it because Max sometimes sucks so much that he turns into a clown in my dreams? Ah, Cher... What the hell are you really thinking? Cherry said in her heart.

Suddenly Cherry realized from her daydream when Max's car had stopped in front of her house. Cherry widened her eyes, she subconsciously said,

"Well, what's in my house? We're not going back to the cafe, are we?" 

Max removed his seatbelt and smiled at Cherry, saying,

"Why? You don't want to be away from me, do you?"

"Who said? I'm just asking. Didn't I have to replace Miyuki's sister to become a cashier?" asked Cherry a little nervously at hearing Max's question.

Max smiled and his hands stretched out on Cherry's head to gently wipe her and said,

"Tomorrow you will be active there. Today just think of it as an introduction to the working atmosphere."

Cherry's eyes suddenly widened to hear Max's words, saying,

"So, I have to come back tomorrow too? Not just today?"

Max chuckled at Cherry's funny-faced question in shock like this. Then he said,

"You've signed a deal. Remember that."

"covenant? But, I just signed the blank paper, there was no agreement whatsoever" said Cherry who felt she did not.

Max approached Cherry and raised his face right in front of Cherry's face a few centimeters away. 

Max's eyes are fixed on Cherry's natural pink lips that only use moisturizer. Cherry's lips as if calling her to be tasted immediately. Then he said,

"You have to be careful signing anything. Don't let you sign the blank paper like that."

"But it was kan–"

A cuup!

Max's lips silenced Cherry's lips that would argue against her. It was able to make Cherry surprised and make her eyes wide open to get a sudden attack from Max.

The kiss was just a glimpse. Just stick together for a few seconds. After that Max released Cherry's lips with Max's hand that managed to open the seat belt worn by Cherry.

Max's mind is right. Because at this time, Cherry immediately keeps Max's body away from him and immediately runs after getting off Max's car.

Max smiled at Cherry who ran into his yard and said,

"Cherry.. Cherry."
