Chapter 25 Feelings

The deg!

Cherry's heart pounded very quickly to hear Max's words hanging as if held back by his nervousness and embarrassment.

Cherry was nervous waiting for the continuation of Max's speech. His heartbeat could no longer be controlled by him.

He couldn't interrupt Max's words. He was eager to wait for Max's words to continue.

"Cher, do you still hear me?" max asked who sounded nervous.

I-iya, said Cherry, nodding her head.

I heard Max's breath on the phone. Cherry grew riled up and nervous erratically.

"Cher, you go to the cafe right now. It's very crowded here now. Yuki's not coming. And the cashier's not there to look after. Can you come here right now?" max asked who sounded like he was in a hurry.

Suddenly Cherry's body limp. It turned out that what he was hearing right now was not what his heart wanted.

Even his heart did not beat as fast as before. Then he answered,

All right, I'll be there right now.

After that, their phone call ended. Cherry let out her sigh which sounded full of disappointment. She walked limply towards the closet to pick up her clothes instead.

"Cherry.. Cherry... What have you thought?" he said it was weak as if it was not powerful.

He sighed again as he was in front of the mirror looking at his appearance that was ready to depart.

"It looks like I have to prepare my heart for later when I meet him" Cherry said in her mirror image.

With heavy steps he left his room to go to Max's cafe.

This time he brought his own car. He won't be delivered by Max when he gets home. For some reason, he was afraid to get close to Max. 

His heart was beating very fast when he was near Max. Not only that, even just hearing his voice can make his heart beat unkillful.

In addition, his hopes disappeared when Max seemed to only play with his feelings. He was aware of that and he did not want to expect more with the status of the pretend girlfriend they were playing.

However, for some reason, in her little heart she said that she wanted to meet him.

"What do I feel? Never mind, just follow what happens. I didn't really expect to be with him either" murmured Cherry who was driving her car.

Not how long his car arrived at the cafe parking lot owned by Max. He immediately got out of his car after seeing the atmosphere of the cafe which was already crowded by visitors.

In a hurry Cherry entered the cafe and immediately headed to the cashier area.

"Max, how can I help you?" ask Cherry who's already near Max.

Max turned to look at Cherry and he suddenly felt nervous as their eyes stared at each other.

"Ehemmm. Start as usual" Max replied, turning his attention to the glasses he would fill with his drink.

"Oh.. ok," said Cherry briefly.

After that he headed to the cashier area and immediately carried out his duties as a cashier.

His sleeves were folded around my side until he saw his muscles. And Max's dazzling smile when talking to someone makes Cherry want to pull him up and bring him to be around.

"Basic charm stocker," Cherry murmured as she entered the order data into the computer.

Max does, though, occasionally stealing glances at Cherry. He smiled at the busy Cherry and smiled at the paying visitors.

"Beautiful" muttered Max with a smile looking at Cherry who was smiling at the visitor.

Max immediately averted his gaze when Cherry turned to look at him. He pretended to be busy with his work.

Lucas smiles watching Max and Cherry stealing glances at each other. Even he chuckled at those who looked timid so as not to dare to look at.

After some time, visitors to the cafe little by little leave the cafe. The atmosphere made them breathe a little.

"Lucas, let's take a break. I sent a message to the chef to cook us some food. Please make it ready at the table if it's done," Max said, patting Lucas on the shoulder.

Max sat in the chair they usually used to eat together. He looked towards Cherry who was busy counting money.

"Cher, when you're done here. We're eating together" exclaimed Max who was still looking towards Cherry.

Of course, Max and Cherry's attitude is always a concern for its employees. They're talking about Max and Cherry.

Max, their boss who looks charming is always sweet on Cherry who is often cynical to him. 

They also notice Max's attitude and Cherry's every together. They regret Cherry's attitude as if he does not like Max, but it is clear if Cherry often steals a look at Max.

Cherry immediately moved from the cashier area and sat near Max because it fit the arrival of Cherry along with Lucas who sat in front of Max.

After a few seconds, a waiter delivers a drink that has been prepared by Max before he sits in the chair.

"Please sir" said the waiter when putting all the drinks on the table.

Three juices with various flavors according to Max, Lucas and Cherry. Three pieces of water were on the table. 

After a few seconds, another waiter delivers food at the table. Now, there are three kinds of dishes on the table. 

Max took the food on his plate. Then he gave it to Cherry. Max knows if Cherry likes all the menus on the table. All that he knew when he ate with the Cherry family.

Cherry is surprised to get her plate taken over by Max and replaced with Max's plate that is already filled with food.

Lucas held back his smile. He tries hard to have a casual expression so that Max and Cherry feel comfortable with him.

Cherry felt awkward getting such treatment from Max. But he tried to act ordinary. Unfortunately, his smile also looked stiff.

As for Max, he also had no idea what he was doing. He did it unconsciously. And he also felt awkward. But he can cover it well. Max smiles sweetly at Cherry so Cherry doesn't know her awkwardness.

The atmosphere at the table became quiet. There was only the sound of spoons and forks clashing against the plates on the table.

"Max!"

A voice called out to Max not far from his desk.

Max, Lucas and Cherry look in that direction. Max's eyes widened when he saw the person standing not far from where he was.
