A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero

A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero
Arc I - Chapter 79: Viewing - 3

This was a new morning, as the previously receding activity of Sourt City rose again rapidly, three people had walked in the city unhindered. Although they were actually in disguise, there was no concern whatsoever that could be felt from them.

Rion, the young man who was now seen to have brown hair glanced towards Lily and Yurei in front of him. Although some resistance had occurred before, but they were completely obedient to the girl's will to become a family, at least that was what was seen on the surface.

Cheers were heard from the merchants who were spending their wares. In a loud voice they tried to attract the attention of their prospective customers, and to be honest it was annoying for Rion.

However, the same did not apply to Yurei, the little girl looked here and there with curious eyes. Perhaps she would immediately disappear from their eyes if Lily loosened her grip just a little.

Trying to ignore these merchants, the three of them tried to head to the port to book the ship tickets.

“Rion, you should at least try to get used to yourself in a place like this,” Lily remembers. After all, even though they had been informed that the ship would return for another 5 days, but it was only the fastest and their journey was much longer than that. Of course the ability to adapt will be very necessary in this time.

“Yes, I know,” replied Rion, she is also aware of the importance of this but ...she has not been able to change her feelings, at least now.

Feeling the dance on the end of her clothes, Lily looked down. “What's Yurei?”

With eyes that seemed to be able to reflect back his gaze, Yurei looked at Lily and pointed at one of the stalls. Although Lily tried to ignore him, but the strength of the gaze was more than enough to subdue her will.

“Alright, we'll be there. Rion, looks like we're going to be a little late.”

“Soever is fine,” Although this is what Rion said. However, the thing that made her say so was one thing, that it seemed like she discovered Lily's weakness.

‘What is Lily weak against Yurei?’ With more observations, Rion felt the need to ascertain this.

Time was hampered by a while due to Yurei's small request. Even so, both Rion and Lily were seen enjoying this relaxing time.

When Rion began to chew some of the fruit that was purchased earlier, their steps continued. When he saw the doll that is now in Yurei's arms, Rion recalled some of the stone dolls he played while still in his village. The time where he felt everything was more than enough.

However, more than that Yurei doll that has the shape of a small puppy made Rion think of something. Approaching Lily, she whispered, “Did Yurei feel a kinship from the doll?”

Hearing Rion's rather interesting question, Lily became concerned about it. “The possibility does exist.”

However, the previous form of the Yurei Phantom Wolf was still a wolf and it was one of the varieties of dogs. Thinking of the puppy and Yurei in their original form, Lily somehow becomes funny.

Ignoring the light thoughts of the two, they arrived at their intended place, the Port of Reutania Kingdom.

Even if the sun had just shown itself, they had been greeted by the sight of long lines snaking. Although this was not comparable to the length of the queue upon entering Sourt City, Rion once again had to endure his feelings of being unfamiliar with the human crowd.

Time passed until their turn came. Facing the person in front of them with a smile, Lily made their request.

Filing the residency documents they had, the waiter in front of Lily started working quickly. Putting on a smile, Lily was a little satisfied that due to her not-so-favoury abilities making them able to go through all of this without much of a hitch.

By putting on a guilty face, it might also be influenced by the unusual nuance Lily gave the maid to lower her head. “Previous to apologize, but all voyages within the next five days are full.”

“When will the fastest ship return to leave?” ask Lily back.

“Please wait a minute,” Shift his eyes from Lily, the waiter re-opens the notebook beside him, checking if when the available ships will return to depart. “Available ships will depart in seven days,”.

“Then give us three tickets at that time.”

Nodding slowly, he began to take down the names of Lion, Illy, and Yuri. The pseudonyms of Rion, Lily, and Yurei correspond to those recorded on their present identities. Taking out a special sign proving their ownership of the place, the maid lowered her head once more before Lily and the others left.

Get out of the crowd that continues to jostle. They returned to the commercial district, one of the most crowded places in Sourt City.

“Nah Rion, what will you do for the next seven days?”

“To be honest, I have no special plans,” replied Rion helplessly. Turning his gaze to Yurei, he looked at Lily back. “You alone? Lily, do you have some things you want to do?”

“Nothing special, but ...”

When a big question mark appeared above Rion's head waiting for the continuation of Lily's words. The look as well as the atmosphere that he, they did not have changed completely.

“It looks like there are some stalkers here,” Lily continued although this is not what she really wanted to say.

“You realize it too?” whispered Rion. ‘Is it from Eugary Empire? Or maybe Reutania Kingdom?’ he thought he was racing fast.

Nodding lightly, Lily added. “I think not only me, but Yurei also felt it with her instincts as a Demon Beast.”

The rest they did not talk anymore, agreed on a plan secretly and still maintained an attitude as if nothing had happened, not realizing anything.

With the days that had changed and their knowledge of the city streets increasing due to Yurei's previous demand, they continued walking without a care. Turning left and right which seemed haphazard, they tried to make the stalker confused.

However, the abilities of the stalkers were undoubtedly extremely proficient. Maybe the stalkers have a myriad of experiences that make their senses not to let go of the target, or maybe a certain motivation.

However, the assumption on Rion's side clearly thought that the stalker's goal would not be in their direction. Recalling the events that occurred recently, this assumption has a solid foundation.

The path they passed increasingly winding so as to build a labyrinth in the cornfield. The light of Sourt City now turned dark after a few small alleys passed through, perhaps this was the corner the city wanted to hide.

Reaching a place that was quite quiet, far from the center of the crowd Rion and the others stopped. Without looking back he made a light but clear sound in the ears.

“We know you're following us. Who are you and show yourself.”
