A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero
Arc I - Chapter 29: The Pursuit - 4

The deafening clash continued to echo, in line with the attack after attack that Rion kept running.

In his effort to face Marco who had been able to continue to provide a solid defense to withstand the blows he gave, Rion continued to be pushed to the limit.

‘If it continues like this it can be terrible! The amount of manaku is getting inadequate to do that!’ thought Rion was panicking.

Not finding another way, Rion used the easiest way by launching an increasingly fierce attack! Accelerating every step he took, he wanted to immediately end this battle.

At a time when what has been collected is already qualified and strong, Rion launched a technique. “Crush Rush!”

Tang! Tang! Tang! Tang!

The barrage of attacks came immediately, hitting strongly towards Marco. However, even though he continued to be pushed back in every blow that Rion launched, this was not enough to destroy his solid defense.

With his teeth grinding, Rion continued to attack with all the ability he had. He retreated for a moment to dodge some distant arrow slides that were immediately followed up by Marco's attack.

The more time passed, the more Marco realized there was something strange about the movement that Rion was taking. However, he did not directly draw conclusions with just the presumption that had been in his head. With a cold head, he chose to wait a little longer to confirm the conjecture.

‘It turns out there was something wrong,’ Marco guessed after the observation made with jelly.

At first glance, there was no significant change in the movement that Rion took. However, when viewed more thoroughly, his previous movements were like a storm, surging and wild with a force on every move taken. Although it can be said that the movements are done haphazardly, but it creates a strange harmony.

However, Rion's current movement, although it looks the same, carries a different essence. Each movement did not feel like before, more like .. being overtaken by time!

Marco smiled slightly in his heart, it seemed that experience was indeed the main factor so as to bring a huge profit on his side.

After finding this Marco was in no hurry, he was sure that Rion was the one who would suffer a great loss if the fight became protracted.

Trying to bring the tempo of the fight in the desired direction. Marco continued to withstand the blows that his opponent unleashed while occasionally replying, he also signaled orders to the others to wait for orders, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Meanwhile, that rash person —Fold— has been taken out of the female field. Although the breath traces were still left on his body, but with his condition seriously injured, he could not be said to be good.

Fold's condition has now calmed down due to unconsciousness after being given sedatives by another colleague. Given that he was in a state of mental state that was lulled with an outpouring of anger, he would only complicate the completion of the mission.

However, all these circumstances made Marco very happy. With this he no longer needs to think about the safety of his subordinates and only needs to focus on the fight he is living.

“Hahahaha .. You must be very tired right?!” marco's laughter was loud after Rion's attack which he felt was getting weaker.

“....”

Rion chose silence, not wanting to reply to Marco's words. The fact that the fatigue had accumulated on him was indeed true, even he had tried to bring this tired body past its limits.

Looking at the gap that Rion showed, Marco muttered, “Because of you.”

Eliminating all forms of defense, Marco began actively attacking his opponent with a powerful force that could be felt in every slash taken, and now Rion began to retreat step by step.

Rion's head began to feel heavy with his twisted gaze, now the power felt left his body. Glancing at the minor injuries he had sustained, he had conjectures for the cause of this condition.

Given that since the fight happened the pursuers who fought against him never targeted the vital parts of the body — except Fold—, and only tried to lock his movement by attacking his members of the movement, Rion's assumption was getting stronger.

Rion's guess is not wrong. Even if it wasn't for his body that had possessed an extreme level of adaptation, then the time the poison reacted wouldn't be this late considering that the poison was contained in every attack the opponent directed at him.

The gap that Rion has shown makes Marco more free to attack him. The knight captain's sword swung wildly and continued to force Rion to retreat.

Pyars!

Rion's fist breaks the sword in Marco's already powerless hand in the face of extreme, rapid, and repeated temperature increases and decreases since the fight began. With all of that, the sword's resistance fell as fast as lightning and was unable to hold on anymore.

Rion's eyes lit up, this was a golden opportunity he couldn't miss. The flame in his right hand began to grow back, and a fiery fist was quickly launched.

Faced with the incoming attack, Marco tried to dodge. However, his efforts were not able and high-temperature fists had first thrown him from his original position.

“Captain?!” ale shouted frantically along with the other team members who voiced similar things.

“Uhuk, Uhuk, I'm fine,” said Marco trying to calm down, staring at Rion hold him screaming, “In addition, quickly attack him! His condition must have been exhausted and reached its limit after this fight.”

“Ya!”

After the order was handed down the Night Hunt team was executing immediately. Marco tried to stand back up, trying to find a replacement sword that although not as good as what he had previously used, but with the current circumstances it should be enough if utilized as much as possible.

The remaining six people began to increase the intensity of the directed attack on Rion. The continued attack on Rion with a row, whether from the front, back, right, or left, all directions that exist have been locked when the attack was launched.

Seeing that their attack did not succeed in disabling the target, they communicated with each other and decided to carry out the attack in unison.

Turning around, the shadow of the pursuers began to become the environment that locked Rion in the middle. Pointing out the dagger that had been loaded with mana to its limit, a technique was unleashed.

“DARK SHATTER!”

Fractions when sharp came from all directions locked onto Rion. Making him unable to wiggle, dodge, or do anything, can only accept attacks resignedly that resulted in severe injuries to his body.

Marco started to approach the badly injured Rion after receiving the attack just now.

“Give up, you can't fight any further than this,” Marco said softly as he brandished the sword in his hand.

Listening to this, Rion's mouth let out a soft laughter sound, “Red ..?”

Although that was said, in fact Rion's eyes had not given up. The fire in his right hand was getting bigger, while the ice in his left hand was starting to melt turning into a large lump of water.

With eyes as sharp as the blade of the sword Rion began to attempt to get back up. “Let's see ...”

Waving his hand, Rion fused fire and water, starting to compress the two opposing substances, a steam bomb that was ready to explode was created.

“... WHO WILL GIVE UP NOW?!”

BOOOM!
