A Little Desire Of Anti - Hero
Arc I - Chapter 39: The Bandits - 4

The storm of attacks was closing in on Rion, but the young man's own position did not allow him to take the desired step.

Rion tried to balance his body as quickly as possible, as the storm of attacks increasingly approached towards him. However, realizing that it would not be possible and the attack would soon be on him, he held his breath and shifted his focus to resist this attack that came at him.

“Magic: Shields!”

A number of circular magic shields in the shape of a slightly transparent green half-ball appeared in front of Rion. The same spell kept him chanting until it formed a ball where he was right in the middle, protected by a layer of shield.

“Hahahaha! Die you!”

Astonishingly continuing to laugh out loud, he was certain that even with a magic shield positioned like that, it was impossible to withstand a combined attack force of this magnitude.

At least Wonder was convinced until Rion did the unexpected altogether.

“Magic: Multiplications,”

Rion said calmly, although he did not want to use this way but circumstances forced him.

Magic shields appeared again and again in front of Rion, forming one after another, layer after layer of additional magic shields that continued to envelop Rion to make him look like a jade egg.

[Magic: Multiplications], this is the magic that Rion modified from the origin spell formula [Magic: Delay] that he learned recently.

The basic principle of the spell delay formula is to make the effect of the magic inflicted on other magic, and because of Lily's challenge the idea to modify this magic appeared in Rion's mind instantly.

By making some additional arrangements, Rion wanted to change the effect on the spell formula from delay to doubling. However, a long failure was the result that awaited him.

After all, it is not that easy to modify spell formulas, especially spells with properties attached to other magic and not stand alone.

However, Rion still insists on this because he imagines when he can release magic that is equipped with delays in large quantities in one rapalan. In addition to making himself free to install large-sized traps at any time, this function will also be very useful for various other situations and conditions, for example, the current condition.

Although for now this dream must be postponed because with the level of Rion's inadequate control ability, resulting in the maximum amount that can be doubled is eight times. Although it was still far from his expectations, it was more than enough to deal with his problems now.

Booms! Booms! Booms! Booms!

A loud bang echoed once the onslaught of attacks came, Rion could feel the magic shield he released continuously trembling, trying to resist the attacks. However, the shield did not last forever and gradually its durability and disappeared, no longer able to continue to withstand the force of the attack any further.

White smoke billowed, the ground around had sunk signifying just how powerful the attack the group had launched was. However, Aston and his subordinates were still unable to breathe a sigh of relief, the person whom they assumed the monster had still not been confirmed to have been killed or yet.

The smoke started to dissipate in the wind and showed a young man who was still standing without any significant injuries. Although his clothes had been torn apart here and there, but the injuries the young man suffered soon recovered at a speed that the naked eye could see.

The remaining members of the group inhaled a breath of cold air, even the attack that they considered to be the strongest of what they could give was still unable to give him quite a severe wound.

Sensing great fear, the remaining members ran in all directions, in the fog trying to avoid the young man who had become their nightmare. Trying to pit each other's luck.

Rion himself was still digesting the previous incident, he was quite surprised by the attack of his enemy because he did not expect there to be one member who was a user of abilities with strange abilities. Looking at it from another point of view, he now also learned something from this incident.

‘Do not ever lower your sense of alertness, even when in the wind,’ thought Rion while shaking her head.

Rion began to walk, riding on the sinking ground. The land itself is now charcoal black due to the combined attack the group unleashed. Exhaling deeply, she softly said, “Now it's my turn?”

With a small step, Rion started crashing. The flame tongue and lightning snake gave off a brightly lit light, chasing after the group members who were late running with rays that pierced through the depths of the night.

Rion focused his sense of hearing, trying to find the person who had moved away from his position. Taking the horses for a moment, he immediately disappeared from his place.

The quiet forest, containing the sound of owls and other night creatures immediately disturbed its calm with the attack that occurred here and there. The explosion occurred, shaking the ears but soon disappearing shortly after.

The lightning serpent was growing rampant, along with the beautiful blue tinge released, the lightning started snaking in all directions.

The dawn drew near as the sun began to reveal itself, beginning to cast out the darkness of the night. Seeing this, Rion returned to his resting place with Lily with the catch of the remaining ten members of the group.

Even if one person has been released, or maybe more accurately released. However, Rion was not worried at all because he had thrown [Magic: Trace] at that person. In any case, he felt that the person would be useful as a way clue for him if only Lily wanted to resolve this all the way to his roots.

Looking at the ten people he had tied up with, Rion tied them up with the rope he got from the group itself. Dragging them towards his camp with Lily, he was in no rush at anything.

When he gets there, Rion sees that the campfire has long been extinguished while Lily is still lying idle.

With a hint of demeanor, Lily groaned as she woke up from her beautiful dream. Rubbing her eyes still covered in drowsiness, the girl immediately turned her gaze from the morning sun towards Rion who was sitting not far beside her.

Her violet eyes were staring at Rion along with a beautiful, meaningful smile that was nearest on the lips. “How are you feeling, Rion? Nice night, isn't it?” ask Lily.
